@Lich Done and done. Tell me what you guys think. And for a bit of flavor, listen to this;
Name: Adrian Hathoway
Titles: The Wandering Squire, The Would-Be Knight
Age: Twenty
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance:
Adrian has sworn an oath to keep his armor on until he has completed his quest; the only time he takes it off is for personal or hygienic reasons. Unfortunately, because of this lifestyle, Adrian tends to be shy around others and refuses to reveal his appearance.
Personality: Adrian, as expected of someone who was to become a knight, holds a chivalrous and kindhearted mind-set. While not necessarily a knight himself, Adrian believes that if he wishes to become one, he must uphold the standard that is set out before them. Of course, his kindness is not extended to nobles who use their positions for corrupt reasons. In fact, Adrian has taken it upon himself to not swear himself to any lord; instead, Adrian wanders the land aiding those in need, which is a part of a much larger quest. An interesting take on Adrian is that he tends to be shy around women and will avoid them at any cost, provided they do not need his help. By far the most puzzling thing about him is his devoted nature to a great quest he has set out on; a personal one that he refuses to share with anyone.
Weapons: Greatsword and a lance (which he keeps attached to the side of his horse.)
Skills/Magic: - Although he has no skill in Magic whatsoever, Adrian was taught by Sir Isabelle in the use of many weapons, including bows, spears, axes, and even daggers. His physical prowess is impressive for a young man his age. His personal favorite and most skillful weapon, which is what he commonly carries, is the greatsword; the blade has become so much of a second nature to him, that he appears to have overcome the over-bearing weight needed. Of course, he still wields it with two-hands.
- During his time as Sir Isabelle's squire, Adrian was taught how to ride a horse and to use it as effectively as possible. To this day, Adrian still uses the same horse Isabelle gave to him before she disappeared and has even give it a name; Isabelle.
History: Born in a far-away land, Adrian was the son of a nobleman who had been known for his service to his lord. As arranged between servant and lord, Adrian was to become a page and eventual squire to a knight of the realm. Initially, there were not many who would take such a weak boy in their service...that was until Sir Isabelle came and accepted the offer. Adrian's father, who had grown frustrated, reluctantly allowed his son to be taught by the lady-knight who had made such a name for herself in battles prior. The training was a difficult task for Adrian, but serving under Sir Isabelle brought great opportunities to the boy. His character and skill improved over time as the boy grew into a fine young man. It was when the country was finally attacked by the Dark Lord that everything spiraled down-hill. During the defense of the capital, Adrian and Sir Isabelle were tasked with the defense of the gate. When hope seemed to finally shine through, Sir Isabelle did the unthinkable; she surrendered the gate and opened it for the Dark Lord's forces.
The act of betrayal sent Adrian into a rage and engaged his former master. The fight, if you could call it that, lasted for a mere five seconds, when he was pushed off of the wall and fell into a pile of corpses. Unconscious and seemingly dead, Adrian was gathered with many of the corpses, outside of the city walls and near a remote village. Before the bodies could be entirely looted and burnt, a kindly old couple found the boy still alive, his body almost entirely broken. Taking him in, Adrian immediately set about recovering and honing his body for a great quest...one that would ultimately lead to what he believes his Knighthood. Finally recovered, Adrian has made a small name for himself in the villages that he has passed through, aiding the weak and helpless. To this day, Adrian still travels a lonesome road, fulfilling his duty to the now-destroyed kingdom. Hopefully, he can complete his quest....then turn his attention to The Dark Lord.
Other: Adrian appears to have a benevolent aura about him. His favorite hobby, which helps him keep in shape, is swimming.
EDIT: I AM A GENTLE GIANT!
EDIT EDIT: You were saying something about knights, Lich? Well, here's the closest thing you'll get to it.
@The Mad Hatter Gotta agree with Yuuta on Paranoia Agent and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. You should also check out JoJo's Bizarre Adventure if you're into some crazy shit as well. The seasons tend to change into a different style. For example, Part 1 is more horror based, while Part 4 is kind of like a team of investigators in a small town. If you've played Persona, Part 3 and onward will remind you of it.
Koichi could hardly take the conversation, his face burning up greatly after they had explained themselves. Adult conversations such as this were things that he had tried to avoid for quite a long time now. "Oh....well...I-I don't think I'd be able to. I-I mean I have the whole day off, but I don't want to waste my money in one place, you see." Koichi's attempts at an excuse were...somewhat lacking. It was mostly the truth, however. He didn't exactly want to blow all of his money in one area just because it was entertaining. That didn't really matter too much now, because his face only seemed to fluster up the more Natsu talked. Everything he said just made it worse for Koichi.
When both of them were left alone, Koichi reached out for the money, and began to fidget with it slightly as he placed it away in his pocket. "I'm...not quite sure about this. I-I haven't really done anything about this...plus I was hoping to do some fishing." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously and looked towards the door. If there was any time to escape, now would most definitely be the time. In fact, it was looking quite promising right now.
Gabriel watched Olivia speak to the small boy and raised his brows at his stature. He was one of the shortest human beings he had ever seen in his life. Was everyone just born with some kind of deficiency or was he just grown giant? Sometimes it was hard for him to tell, but clearly something was off with the height differences in the 104th Cadets. He had almost forgotten entirely about Reese and Tanner until Reese gave him a punch to his stomach and Tanner spoke of getting him to a medic. He let out a small grunt and held his stomach, rubbing it gently as he looked down at the boy. He watched Olivia ruffle Reese's hair and walk off and was about to speak up to say something to her, but decided against it in the end. Instead, he waved at her and called out. Seeya, Olivia....we'll see you tomorrow!" He crossed his arms and took a deep breath, wondering what exactly he should do next.
Out of the blue, Reese came up to him with a cup of water. Gabriel had a nervous smile on his face and took the cup. "T-Thanks...you didn't have to get me anything, Reese. I said I was fine, you two. I promise." Even so, he felt a little warm inside that someone was willing to go out of their way to give him something. It was almost like how Lauren had given him first aid. He always was appreciative of those who were willing to look out for him, and a small blush grew on his face from the kindness of Reese. It was nice having friends...it really was. He took the cup up to his mouth and drank it down almost as quickly as Reese had gotten it.
Looking back down at the two, Gabriel smiled slightly, and motioned outside the cabin. We...should probably go and get our rest." He was about to walk out when he looked back at the boy sitting down. For some reason, he seemed familiar...as if they had met once before. He thought for a few seconds, trying to figure out who this short kid was. He looked down at Reese and Tanner and spoke up. "Actually, I'll catch up with you two...just give me a minute, okay?" With that, Gabriel walked passed them and sat down in front of Emil on the opposite side of the table, resting his arms on the table as he gave Emil a curious look. "I feel like I know you for some reason. Were you in Shiganshina?"
Gabriel was daydreaming slightly as the group went about training. It was always nice to be outside, especially in such perfect weather like today. He looked around at the sky a bit, wishing to go on a small fishing trip later today, then looked back down towards his opponent. Grant was the perfect height for Gabriel, but he believed he had the clear advantage in this situation. Gabriel was not only stronger, but Grant was only slightly faster than he. It shouldn't be too hard to get a good grapple on him, he thought, and slowly began to engage Grant.
A smirk grew on his face, putting his hands up as he watched Grant closely. "So how have you been, Grant? We don't get to talk very often." Gabriel spoke to Grant as they sparred not only to distract him, but because he genuinely did want to speak with Grant while they had the chance. "I'm thinking of going fishing later today if you'd like to come with me. Shouldn't be too hard, since there's a lake nearby." Gabriel stepped up quickly towards Grant and went for a hold. Luckily, if Grant wasn't fast enough, Gabriel would have a good, solid lock on the other 'giant.'
Gabriel thought about the last training session that they had; the Maneuver Gear test was a frustrating one. Although he didn't exactly fail it, Gabriel had to spend some time trying to adjust to the feel of it. It didn't come naturally to the large boy, especially because of his height. In a way, it upset him greatly because of his father's history as a military man. Still...it wasn't all that bad. At least he didn't fail, unlike a few select cadets. Gabriel stopped thinking of the test afterwards and moved back to concentrating on Grant.
