Constraints of location filming? For example it's not practical to repaint all the trains in King's Cross into the correct early nineties British Rail liveries just for the film.

Actually, it's not made clear whether this RP is set in the book or movieverse, and the films don't explicitly date themselves the same way the books do, although some landmarks (most notably the Millennium Bridge in London) do put the films more or less in the modern day.

Because I've seen some awesome headcanons stating that some Muggleborns hooked up some wi-fi in the Room of Requirement.Just think: Movie marathons from netflix in Hogwarts. It would be awesome. Especially when seeing Purebloods react to epic space battles and fantasy films. XD

You're forgetting that muggle technology explicitly does not work within the castle grounds.
