"Man, like, you totally've gotta start listenin' to Arceus, seriously. He's, like, amaaaaziiiing... Whoa... I just saw a Mew..."

This is win material right here!
Hm, yeah, actually he could be! :D I like him already.
His eyes and visions. :P
If Lustrous was my character, I'd totally do a Trainspotting quote as an introduction. :3

Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who need reasons when you've got heroin Palkia?

EDIT: I need to stop thinking of Lustrous as a drug addict.
"This is it!" Eric proclaimed as he spun around, his gaze not leaving the bright blue sky above. It was majestic. It was pure. It was like everything Eric ever wanted to see was painted on that blue canvas. The Jiglypuff was bouncing slightly behind him, jumping up and trying to grasp the sky. She puffed her cheeks when all her attempts proved futile. "I'd love to do that too." Eric noted with a smile, before approaching his companion. "Hey, Carmen?" He asked to get her attention, before picking her up and putting on his shoulders. "Better?"

Their journey had just started. They literally got out of the Station ten minutes ago - this was the first time both of them were able to see the vast world in front of them. And neither one could contain their excitement. Rusted cars and empty streets did not bother them, it was still incredible. There were hidden traces of beauty here. For the first time in his life, Eric felt his heart grow. It felt like it would pop out of his chest any second now. The world of possibilities and mystery was in front of them. So many things to do, so many places to visit. So many forgotten memories to feel. The feeling was so strong that he was on the verge of breaking out in a song.

Which was exactly what Celeste had on her mind as well.

Hearing her breathing in, his mind immediately switched into panic mode. He loved hearing her sing, even though it made him fall asleep every single time. But falling asleep in the middle of the street wasn't the smartest way of starting out a journey. Putting both of his hands over her mouth, he exhaled in relief. They stood there frozen for a few moments, before Eric was sure that Celeste gave up on singing. Only then did he move his hands away and put her back on the ground.

It took Eric a few more moments before fully grasping the horror of what he'd done. She puffed out her cheeks again and proceeded to crash into Eric's leg with full force. Fortunately for him, her full force wasn't exactly danger material. Still - it hurt.

"Sorry, sorry." Eric scratched the back of his head. "We'll be able to sing as soon as we're out of the streets, that alright with you?" He proposed, and although Celeste tried acting all dramatic and insulted, Eric knew that she'd already moved on. "Want to go back up, C?" Of course she wanted to. And with that, the two of them started moving again, taking their time to inspect buildings.

"No matter where we roam, all roads will lead us home. Through rain or pain, even if labeled insane - our friendship will keep us sane." Eric smiled as he spit out random lyrics that had just appeared in his head. He looked up to meet Celeste's gaze. She was looking at him expectantly to go on, but he sighed instead.

"I'll really need to teach you how to beat-box."

Burning of paper made a really distinct sound in an empty lobby of a once bustling office building. It was intriguing how majestic destruction appeared when one was able to observe it in silence. The only reason Fractal opted to visit this building is a closed off space for him to eat something without any possible unwanted interference. It almost ended as a lucky break for him as he was able to find a lighter on a reception desk. Unfortunately, it was almost empty and therefore probably left by some scavenger that visited the place before. It had enough gas left for Fractal to try it out and light a few pieces of paper on fire. But that was it for its lifespan. Disappointed, Fractal continued eating and, when finished, called his Purrloin out so he could grab something to eat as well.

While Felis was doing exactly so, already quite obedient to his trainer, Fractal took his time to check surrounding rooms of the building. Most of it was not accessible due to missing stairs and long since broken elevators. He checked the height of the broken off staircase and concluded that one would be able to get up there with the help of a Pokemon. Unfortunately, he had no such Pokemon with him and even if he did, he had no real intention of searching through old offices. Not yet, at least.

In the end, he stopped in front of a large window, one of the rare few that remained in one piece. It was one of the main windows to the place and was probably made of reinforced glass of some kind. It was one of the few logical explanations Fractal could come up with. His gaze followed the trail of ruined buildings. It's been a few hours since he made his way to the surface and the beauty of an endless sky quickly faded due to so much debris surrounding Fractal. The sight was wonderful and the ruins quickly got more of Fractal's attention than the sky.

"You done?" He calmly asked, turning to his Pokemon. Indeed he was, but his back was stiff and his eyes focused on the space behind Fractal. Without panicking, he moved away and approached Felis. The reason of anxiety for young Purrloin soon made its appearance out of the shadows. It was a pale purple Pokemon, which Fractal recognized immediately. He was not all that surprised that one of its kind would be found around these parts, under all this debris and sand. "A Skorupi, eh?" A grin appeared on his face as he inspected it. "You look weak for one of your kind. I thought you Skorupi were bigger and stronger. Guess I was wrong." His words visibly provoked the lone Pokemon, up to the point that it began approaching the two, which was not a typical Skorupi characteristic.

"Feisty, aren't we?" Fractal asked as he approached him and furiously stepped on his tail. Right below the tail claw, so that he wasn't able to move it. Before he was able to react, Felis already went for the rest of his body. "Scratch," Fractal muttered out as he watched his Purrloin get the job done. It wasn't long before he felt Skorupi's strength fading away and thus moved his leg away. "Let's go." He said with a simple "good job" nod.

Calling Felis back to his Poke-ball, Fractal was back on the streets and on his way.

IMO Mega Evos are made to make crap tier pokemon very good and viable at the loss of their items. Gardevoir was NU tier til mega, then it got bumped up to OU due to hyper voice pixilate hitting for 135 base before its STAB that goes through subsitute.

Archmage MC said And who used Mawile in any team before the mega evo? no one. Same for Kangaskhan, Pinsor, ext.... It might seem stupid, but it really breaths life into a stale comp scene.Plus having a boss pokemon is a pretty fun concept.

I actually used Mawile in one of my playthroughs as a permanent member of the team. I think he looks mega cool. :3

Aw, thats no fun. Whats he have against Mega Waifu(Gardevoir)? :PIt would also make for a decent villain mechanic too if he wants one. A Villain that gives the heroes a challenge while still being likeable makes for a good villain.

@Grimm: There's no actual, like....system to it. Battling in any form, whether catching, legitimately beating up wild pokemon, watching someone else battle, or furiously trying to slow down a giant Nidoking from killing you, will gain experience. I'll leave the actual judgement to you guys.EDIT: OH GOD WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT POOR BIDOOF! He's so...battle-hardened!

Fair enough. I think successfully running away from a pissed off Nidoking should be worth most experience *thumbs up*

That Bidoof is hardcore! Has more muscles than moa.
