"Jeez Capella, that hurts my poor feelings," Ash spoke out, clutching his chest with his free hand. Well, mostly free. Between Capella clutching onto him and fumbling with his phone in his other hand, he still had to be all dramatic and act like he was hurt by Capella's skepticism. "You should have more trust in my awesome navigational skills. Let me tell you - yours truly was in boyscouts before." And thus Ash went into another story, talking without properly looking where he was going.

In hindsight, that might well be the reason why they weren't there yet. The Coffee Pot was nowhere in sight. And the weather wasn't helping their cause. He should have actually checked the weather beforehand. He really should have. A black turtleneck and his favorite jock jacket, an orange white combination, should have done the trick. But it didn't. He was cold. Really cold. But looking at his trembling companions, he tried to hide the fact.

"I'm pretty sure Toasty would be the one taking care of me-"

He stopped in his tracks. Finally, his phone had stopped acting up. The navigation was screwed up since he went out today, but he wasn't sure why the signal was so bad. As he tried getting good directions, an ad popped up on his screen. Along with an address. It was nearby.

["MAID CAFFEE RESORT IN YOUR AREA. WAITING FOR YOU. ONLY THE BEST SERVICE. MAID CAFFEE RESORT IN YOUR AR3A"]

His eyes flashed with a flame of a thousand suns. His mouth opened up in shock, as if in slow motion. Time might have well stopped for that moment. There was a heart flutter somewhere too. A vicious grin had appeared on his face as he looked at Capella. He was oblivious to the gift the heavens had sent them. Hah! Soon the weather is going to be the least of their worries.

"My friends. Change of plans! There is an even better place here than an old, rusty, dusty coffee pot. Couple more minutes and we're there, trust me. Heaven awaits!" He shook Capella a bit, squeezing him as if giving him a hug. "Ain't no couple of snowflakes gonna stop us, right Cap? ONWARDS!"

It took Ash some time to process how Siobhan correlated to Vaughn. It didn't. Maybe it was some cultural lore that he had absolutely no clue about. Like how Richard was called Dick. He still didn't get that one either. So much for him starting to think of a cool nickname for her. She already had one. V. Alright, he could call her V. That had a sweet tone to it. He snickered when Siobhan mentioned the names of her mother's dog. As she addressed Ash and his name, he shot a playful evil glance at Capella, far too late realizing it was futile. Yeah, Ash was cheesy alright.

"Nah, it's a... uhm..." he begun, actually not sure why his parents gave him that name. He never explicitly asked. "I'm just Ash. Like from a cigarette. Not sure why. I don't have any ashy characteristics. My dad is a huge fan of the Evil Dead universe so that might be a reason, but I don't know." Ash answered to the best of his ability before quieting down and listening to the two talk. So they were both multilingual people. Wonderful.

"And here I'm barely good with English."

He pondered his lack of a linguistic skill for a short while, barely noticing when Siobhan moved away to talk on the phone. Then he focused on Capella, immediately bursting out laughing. "Imagine that - a toasty demon, hahah~" But as Capella prompted Ash to help him fetch his guitar, the laugh had subsided. First of all, he didn't even realize the guitar was nowhere in sight. That alone had surprised him. Second, the conversation Siobhan was having over the phone didn't seem all that pleasant. Not that he eavesdropped or anything, but it was hard not to notice body language as he glanced over a couple of times.

Ash hurried to get a guitar, noticing a man standing in close vicinity. Also talking on the phone, it seemed he took a quick glance in his direction as Ash was picking the guitar up. Not a pleasant aura at all. But hey, every town has its share of those people. Ash put on a goofy smile before brushing it off as just a weird coincidence as he hurried back to the two and the uber. "Here's the guitar, Cap. Good thing no one snatched it before I got there. Imagine if I had to go all Flash and run after them? Sheesh." He smiled as he sat down next to the driver, a middle aged man, casually dressed - with a clean buzz cut. Military style. He was a Jack alright.

"To the old starboard, yeah? I think that's the name of the place." He looked back at Siobhan, waiting for confirmation.

Ash went through his hair with his hand as he listened to Siobhan and Capella talk. At one point he wanted to make a little joke about the girl being here from 8 in the morning, as he was in deep sleep at that point in the day, but decided against bringing his sleepyhead side to the surface. At least not yet. Instead, he took Siobhan's hand and shook it. A strong, yet not too firm of a shake. Capella once again disregarded the hand, not even flinching at it. "Siobhan, another one with an interesting name! I'm Ash, boring I know," he laughed at his own statement, "Like Ash Ketchum. But I'm Ash Carson."

So Cap's last name was Xing. That totally proved Ash was right in his assumption. Internally, he clenched his fist in a victorious manner. Apparently, this Old Starboard was their destination and it seemed that Capella wanted Siobhan to come along. Ash didn't mind a bit, he'll be able to meet two people in one day and that was always a welcome circumstance. Besides, she did seem polite and sweet, will be interesting to see how the conversation will develop. "I only mind the fact that I didn't get to ask her that myself," Ash smiled as he shot them both thumbs up, before fiddling around in the pocket of his sweatpants and taking out his cellphone. Samsung. What a mainstream addict he indeed was. And a Marshmello mask to keep the phone safe.

"How about I fetch us an uber then? I-, he stopped in his tracks as he unlocked the phone, a couple of messages popping up, one particular from his sister.

[KIDDO] "You didn't exercise again, right? >.< GET. A. GRIP. I'll tell mom."

With an exaggerated sigh, Ash opened up his phone camera, snapping a quick selfie to show off himself in a tracksuit. He made sure the two were not in the frame, not to offend them for taking a picture without asking. Although... Ash coughed as he slowly approached Toasty. "Sorry, Cap, can I take a quick selfie with the demon? My sis is gonna love this." He waited for a couple of seconds, to get a good pose mostly. Hah, the pup had his tongue sticking out, so Ash mimicked it and before anyone knew it, the selfie was taken and sent to his sister.

"Hey hey, look who's exercising! I also found a new friend! :P :P :P Love ya~"

That distraction aside, Ash went on to open up his Uber app and deploy a taxi to their location. Five minutes? Fair enough. The driver's name is Jack. "Hah, like that character from Tekken." Ash thought to himself as he put the phone away, giving all of his attention to the two.

"So the food is on Cap, I'm handling Uber, so I guess... Siobhan, your job is to make a fun atmosphere! Food, here we come!"

The interaction with the boy brought a smile to his face as he noticed there was no handshake extended back to him. Instead the boy did a slight bow before introducing himself. "Now, this is interesting," Ash thought to himself as he connected the information Capella gave him. Toasty was Chinese and he did use the phrase 'back in China', so there was reason for Ash to believe Capella to be of Chinese origin. The bow only made him more sure of his excellent Holmesian deduction. And proud as well.

And of course the dog wasn't American! Hah, I knew it. Couldn't be. Toasty was still hell of a cute dog though.

Ash retracted his hand and brushed his hair back instead. Playing it out like he didn't even extend it for a handshake in the first place. Playing it cool, in case anyone nearby noticed it. "Relax, Cap. No need to pay me for the damages. They're just sweatpants after all. But hey, I didn't get to eat out since I came to Sol, I still don't know the places around here. So, you know what..." Ash did a dramatic stop to the sentence, dragging it out a bit. His stomach rumbling was a cue to finish the sentence. "I'll take you up on the offer. You're on for lunch!"

The shy reply on Cappela's singing skills only further intrigued Ash, as the boy definitely looked flushed. "Just stating the obvious, man. From one artist to anot-," as he was about to finish, a female voice had entered the conversation, interrupting his line of speech. And a female she indeed was, the newcomer. Wavy red hair, same height as Ash and seemingly around his age. What an interesting twist this was.

"Not rude at all! The vicious beast here tackled me, like only a Cerberus could. Almost took my life, I tell ya!" Ash spoke, bursting in a chuckle after stealing a gaze at the cutest small dog ever; Cerberus Jr. "Now that you mention it... we are both new to the town, so would you know of any good places to eat around here? I could eat anything at this point. Unless you're new to the town as well, that seems to be the theme right now." Ash finished, sticking his tongue out a bit, before returning his expression to a playful grin.

Look at him - so cute, so playful. Now this is why Ash loved dogs. They were so genuine in their actions. So happy with life. "You adorable little..." Ash opened his mouth to speak, as the dog sniffed his hand. He always knew how to handle animals. It brought a smile of pride to his face. As he decided to pet the brown dog, Ash felt a sudden sting in his thigh. "Little goblin!"

The dog had actually bit him. And as he instinctively trying slightly pushing the dog away, he also thought about not doing anything too rash. After all, he didn't want to agitate the beast anymore than it already was. What did it have against his wonderful sweatpants anyways? Wasn't it a fan of army? Maybe the dog wasn't American? That would explain a lot. "Ow!" After the initial shock had subsided, Ash found out it wasn't too big of a bite anyways. If anything, the dog seemed to be playful in his intentions and Ash was not sure he should scold the dog for that. It was in his nature, nothing wrong with that.

Until he actually saw there was a slight rip in his sweatpants.

"NO WAY IN HELL.... I just bought them recently." Ash let out a disappointed roar as he fell down to the grass, the dog still fighting with his sweatpants. What a tragic end this will be for Ash Carson, he thought as he put a hand over his eyes, being overly dramatic as usual. But then the attack had subsided and the dog seemed to have left upon hearing the magic word. Toasty? So his name was Toasty.

"Hah, that's hella cute, how can I be mad at-" he mumbled to his chin as he got back to his knees, suddenly face to face with the boy from before. It indeed seemed to be his dog and was listening to his commands without a fault. Interestingly enough, the boy wasn't looking directly at him. Or maybe he was, there was something to the color of his eyes that confused Ash to a great extent. Intrigued him even. They looked like cake. Ash could go for some cake, the thought ran through his mind as his stomach rumbled in response.

As he inspected the boy, he noticed the walking stick the boy held in his hand. Some things clicked together, but not the entire picture. If nothing, the boy genuinely seemed apologetic about what had happened.

"I'm... I think my leg might be done for," Ash begun speaking, his voice hasty and dramatic, "He took out a huge chunk of my thigh, I think I'll need to- UGH!" He acted out as if he was hurt, but stopped himself before he took the joke too far. Especially seeing the expression on the boy's face. He seemed far far too apologetic.

"I'm kidding, man. Don't even sweat it, I approached your dog and he had something against my sweet sweatpants. Ripped them a bit, but that's all. Your dog's not American, by any chance?" What kind of a start to a conversation was that? He internally facepalmed himself as he beamed a wide grin at the boy. Ash got up to his feet, extending his hand out. "Name's Ash, I'm new to Sol. Was taking a... stroll around the park and heard you singing. You have a great voice, my man! Didn't understand the lyrics though, but ay, I'm not good with languages."

PHEW, exams are over. Well tomorrow is the last one so sink or swim for me! Means I get to post :O :D
