During the time in the dessert and likely still in the forest we can use runa to keep pullung clean water from out of the air to drink

Definitely not in the desert. Forest might work though. And Alex would not really care if she could pull some. He knows that she couldn't pull enough as in deserts people need at least 2 liters per hour to be at full functionality.
Alex was busy carrying two two subjects on his shoulders until they could walk on their own. The few traps and positions they encountered led to him interjecting himself a few more times to protect the group, but these things barely even scratched him compared to what the rocket did to his upper body. When both could walk, he started scouting ahead. As the group reached a new area, there were often a few corpses where he had assassinated them as he surveyed the area. He led them around traps or had already disabled the guns. Eventually, they reached the outside world. He still never once relaxed. He kept scouting and checking perimeters. He took note of survival items and began gathering food and plants of water from the desert as they traveled. In the forest, he stopped the group and started to set up a fire pit. He began to ask some of the capable survivors to build shelters while he got the prickly pears cooking so they could get some nutrition.

Valdis followed the group, intentionally lagging behind and out of sight. She would take time whenever they were delayed to observe and seek out who she might get along with. She also calculated what she expected might be a good way to eventually introduce herself. As the group left the building, she followed, keeping quiet and avoiding casual observance. She saw a man scouting around. He seemed to be stone-like and she knew he saw her. Since she made no attempts to act hostile, he simply kept an eye on her and expanded his route to be within range to run to her. She recognized his tactical decision and even somewhat respected him for it. She didn't have to make her presence known, he simply determined she was one of them and moved to possibly cover her if danger comes along. He also respected her desire to not be noticed and never once mentioned to their de facto leader that she was following. Curious. He might actually be the one I track down and contact. Might be a couple others I might talk to prior to making myself fully known, but his discretion is admirable.
On a side note, I made myself some oatmeal and apples that tastes exactly like a sweet apple pie.

Ha, well, it was one thing after another, hon! *hugs* Stay away from those black cats and broken mirrors.

You know how they say bad things come in threes? Well, I have the bad luck of bad things happening to me in anything but dice games. Give me a d20 and marvela t me almost never missing and critting an ungodly amount.

I gave us a start. No one else followed XD
Hmmm, I may be less lucky. Some things have happened that led Whirlwind to call me broken. All of it due to bad luck.
080 has begun up the stairs to make it obvious he wants the group to move.

But there's a good reason to disallow such thing if the RP only takes place in a few star systems or just one- if one player had a alien race to themselves that had interstellar ability they'd be more powerful than everyone else since where everyone else has to be multiple factions of humans who only control a world or two a player with a alien that's interstellar gets to have entire star systems for themselves. The solution I see is to make it so the alien race is one that is controlled by multiple players through multiple factions like the human colonists. However you practically never see this, instead it's almost always one player with a alien race that runs a whole species despite the RP not being space opera in scale.Even when a similar alien exists I have seen players who make a second alien colonizing race that is similar to one that already exists. For instance in Final Frontier there were space elves who were a alien empire that has sent colonists to the world the RP takes place at. Yet a second player decides he wants interstellar matriarchal aliens too, the only difference being instead of space elves they're technicolor women. However both shared so similar a archetype I saw no reason why they couldn't just share a alien species instead of having two separate ones.

I would treat it like any colonization procedure. The aliens are fresh to colonizing and they are not likely to get help from their home world. I wouldn't make it some experienced empire as that would be unfair, but I would temper the new race by having them just as resource desperate and unlikely to receive reinforcements.
She will definitely be treated as a child by Alex as his personality is not overly compatible with hers. Not because of her looks but because she sounds bratty to him.

EDIT: Also, may want to add me to the list of multiple characters and add Vigdis to the list
