Alexei, when not in combat, will never be simply himself. Illua will be a transparent image around him, forming a visually permeable second skin. She usually mimics his actions, but if she chooses to, she may move herself independently, but she cannot stray from his location. Illua and Alexei share a deep symbiotic tether to one another, tying them together to the same location. This bond allows him to speak for her and for both to communicate with only one another telepathically. When speaking for her, Alexei's voice changes to sound exactly like Illua's. In this form, Alexei shares the supernatural senses of Illua, gaining the ability to see in all forms of darkness as if it were day and he benefits from slightly enhanced physical abilities that make him functionally peak athletic condition at all times. (His mental abilities do not increase but Illua is more than happy to speak her mind and use her knowledge, sometimes annoying him)

When combat arises, however, Alexei ceases to appear as himself and instead takes on the complete appearance of Illua. In this form, his physical attributes become readily superhuman, though it is not as strong as Illua would be in her natural state. He and Illua quite literally merge into one entity in this state. They retain the ability to communicate, but his fighting skills increase substantially. He can remain in battle form for a few hours at a time, but it mentally drains him, so he tends to only use it when necessary. In addition, it requires a certain minimal amount of life force to activate as he must provide the energy for the full manifestation.

Illua is skilled with a twinblade and also has gauntlets that have clawed fingers to enhance her natural claw attacks. When a foe is out of reach, she can propel her feathers at them, the feathers becoming dagger-like in flight or she can use her enchanted bow to propel her feathers at a much longer distance. Her bow makes her feathers explode upon contact, though she may only shoot a single feather at a time as opposed to being able to let a few feathers loose at a time from her wings. Illua may fly in this form as well. In addition, Illua may shapeshift to look like another creature or person, but she may not confer this ability to Alexei. This ability costs a small amount of life force to perform, but it is not a constant burn.

In Battle Form, Illua gains access to certain Mahozoku type abilities. At the cost of life force proportional to distance, she may teleport, leaving a cloud of explosive feathers behind if desired. She may also heal wounds or purge poison or disease at the cost of life force proportional to the wound. (30% reduction for self-healing) Illua sparingly spends Alexei's life force and prefers to spend none. In battle form, Illua also has an innate ability for language. No matter what language she speaks, the recipient she intends will hear it in the language they are most familiar with.

To compensate for this symbiosis, Alexei's metabolism requires three times the normal caloric intake of someone his size and build. His life force is not endless, but a side effect of the symbiosis is that he is not required to burn life force to keep Illua active. Instead, they simply function as one paired entity. No matter the form, both illua and Alexei exist in the same mind. Any attempt to read their mind or to enter their mind is exceedingly difficult and is foiled if the person attempting it cannot handle the sudden force of two minds in the same entity. This grants them limited, but strong, resistance to mental intrusion they do not desire. They may only suppress this after a prolonged ritual has been done to mark the person they wish to allow into their mind. After the ritual, the person may enter their mind through any means and they may telepathically communicate with Alexei and illua when within fifteen meters. This ritual must be refreshed monthly and can be negated by Alexei and Illua after ten minutes of concentration.

Appearance: In addition to the above images, Alexei stands at 6'6" tall. His eye color changed when Illua and him bonded, so his eyes are blood red and glow slightly. Illua stands at 7'2". Her eye color matches Alexei's.

Personality: Alexei is often calm and composed. Even when joking around, he is relatively stoic. He is prone to being flippant, though. In direct contrast to this, Illua remains composed out of combat and shares her host's flippant humor, but once battle begins, she becomes wrathful, letting her restraint wane slightly. She tends to be far more suspicious of people than Alexei. Despite his outward stoicism, Alexei is constantly holding back a stream of strong emotions. One ccan get glimpses of it in his passion for learning and hobby of writing. Should one find him when he is having trouble keeping his emotional restraints in check, they will experience the full depth of his emotions.

Biography: His childhood was not particularly spectacular. It was rather boring until he reached puberty. Upon reaching puberty, he began to develop abilities akin to a Connector. They were amorphous, indistinct, and weak. One thing he knew was that he preferred the solitude of the wilderness, or at least a more rural setting. In addition, his emotions began to increase in potency and frequency. He was having trouble keeping under control. As he struggled to keep emotional control, everyone assumed he was just being a hormonal teenager and just ignored it. He lost what few friends he still had and became highly reclusive. He eventually spent any waking moment away from school in the wilderness, trying to stay away from the society that could not help him. One night, at the age of 18, he was jumped by some low ranking members of Kimera Tenma. They demanded his money and the heirloom signet ring his mother had given to him. He of course refused and they attacked him. He fended them off until one got a lucky hit in. The knife did its work and left a mortal wound. Even as he fell to the ground, dying, he would not let go of the ring and lashed out at the assailants. They only could remove his money and quickly left before anyone had a chance of finding them out.

Meanwhile, Alexei sat there, bleeding out, unable to move his body any longer. Just as his vision began to blur and blacken, he saw two red eyes in front of him and then passed out. While he was dying, Illua had escaped from the ring, standing over him as she took in the situation. He was dying and he was the heir of the ring that housed her. She had to think quickly and try to heal him, but she couldn't figure out how to use his life force. As she hastily and desperately tried to staunch the bleeding, she realized that she could feel a vague and empty Connector ability. Realizing that it was a void and he lacked any sort of spirit, the realization of just how she could help him dawned on her. She swooped into his body and found that his Rei readily latched onto her. Realizing that his base was a special subset of Tamazoku, she used most of his remaining life force to heal his wound just enough for him to begin recovering. For the next few weeks, she healed and mended him, working to bring him back to health as she took control of his body and forced him to find and eat food while drinking water. Eventually, he was able to move for himself and Illua began to rest, providing gentle direction to help him speed his recovery. For another week, the two worked to get used to this new symbiosis. She was his spirit and he was her host, but they both had to cooperate and work together.

Once the week had passed and the two had managed to work out how to maintain her normal form, they returned to his home, finding his parents practically wrecks from his disappearance. They were too worried to notice the ghostly existence of Illua around him at first. Once they did, his mother recognized Illua and applauded Alexei on being the one to inherit her as a spirit. Alexei responded by saying that they had figured out that he was odd for a soul user. He had to cooperate with her, switching places at times to allow her to use her powers. He also mentioned that he was still getting used to having a second voice in his head all the time. His parents, while a little off-put at first, realized that his Rei was the origination of this symbiotic existence, so they eventually adapted to it. What they did have trouble adapting to at first, though, was his massive appetite. He had to eat triple what he used to just to maintain his figure. In addition, his emotional outburst began to subside as Illua taught him to control and leash in his emotions. Three years following the near death experience, Alexei had trained with Illua, learning how to summon her battle form and also learning how to live a life with her constantly with him.

He decided to leave once he adjusted and make his own way. He made his way to Utopia and settled down on the outskirts, close enough to the wilderness to escape to it as necessary when the busy city life took its toll. To pay rent, he began working as a courier, using Illua's battle form to quickly and efficiently deliver packages to recipients. On his days off, he wrote research articles for money. Some companies requested him due to his specific writing style of logical and rational observation of products or problems. With these two jobs, he was able to make ends meet and even save some. He currently saves to try and build a home just outside the city so he can live in relative peace while still being close to his place of work.

As time passed, Illua became quite attached to Alexei. Eventually, she actually fell for him. He returned the affection, but they both realized that it was not a possibility at all and so exist in a state of love that will not amount to any distinct relationship. This works well for them both as they are both polyamorous and may love more than one, so the possibility of a physical relationship for Alexei may come at some point. Interestingly, Alexei is very picky about dating. They must be compatible with Illua as well and must be alright with her constant presence. As such, he will only even date someone that is bisexual and he houses a preference for women, so his dating pool is limited at best.

So I'm running into some complications over the Vampire class. I recommend going fully monk focusing on Stone Fist for both build and tradition. Also, 1st level characters are unable to learn supernal so you can go with Primordial. Also: as a revenant you can only choose your background race (tiefling like you said) which would prevent bloodline features (such as vampirism) from transferring over into the new revenant form. So in your back story, you can say that you were a vampire but your character will only be allowed to use revenant features revenant and tiefling wise.There are some good features from the revenant race that do extra damage types. The feat Chill of the Grave will turn your Dark Reaping's type into cold and nectrotic damage. The Death's blessing feat will fully make you dead, meaning that suffocation doesn't affect you (which would mean you no longer need to breath, and so you can be immune to suffocating toxins, drowning, etc.). Empowered reaping does bonus damage points with your Dark Reaping. You initially get +2 bonus, level 11 it increases to +4, and level 21 increases it to +6.Your powers would also be monk powers if you decide to stick with that class. Sorry I don't have the Heroes of Shadow book.

Again, Vampire is a class, thus is not affected by racial stuff. (Well, it is, but only insofar as other classes.)

Supernal is from my Tiefling background. I had two relics of the Paladin part and that is one. Gotta change that up, so it is removed

And if I cannot use Vampire, then I need to rework the whole class to something a little different. So, we will see if I am still a monk, dunno yet. The current set-up is me using my monk at-will to apply extra damage to my flurry of blows and my vampire slam (High single target damage, Desert Wind Style)
