The idea of this rp is similar in concept to the Men in Black or the SCP Foundation. You are part of a team of agents sent by an organization called OPTIC (Office of Paranormal Tactics, Intelligence, and Command) to identify and contain a recently discovered extra-dimensional entity that has appeared in the vast wilds of the American Northwest.
Each player will select one of four classes:
Reasercher: A field scientist specialized in identifying and studying paranormal activity and beings in almost any Condition. Equipment: OPTIC Field Suit with gasmask and ballistic vest, Backpack, Tablet, Recording Equipment, Sample Testing Kit, 9mm Sidearm, two clips of ammo.
Spec ops Agent: A soldier with the knowledge of a vast array of firearms and ordeninance. You are the heavy hitter, its your job to eliminate threats and protect the other classes if danger arises. Equipment: OPTIC Uniform with gasmask and ballistic vest and joint pads, various pouches for ammo, Primary Weapon (player Choice), 9mm Sidearm, x2 Smoke grenades, x2 Frag grenades, x2 Flashbangs, two clips of 9mm ammo.
Containment Specialist: An agent with an armored hazard suit and an EXO frame, you are the tank who gets in close to subdue a threat for containment. This is not a dedicated combat role, but rather a tank/non-lethal subduer. You can use it in combat if needed however. Equipment: Cermaic-Titanium Armored Hazard Suit with enclosed helm (filter and seperate air supply), EXO frame with arm extensions, plasma torch, bolt cutters.
Psy-operative: A Psychically active human with the ability to communicate over distance and sense danger. Some even have the ability to lift objects or people with telekinisis. Equipment: OPTIC Uniform with gasmask and ballistic vest, Backpack, Chalk, maps, 9mm Sidearm, two clips of ammo.
It'd besmart to have at least one of each, so mind what others pick.
This is player and character driven, you guys will each get protocols that entail what your job it, and what you can do, as well as what the procedures are for this operation. You will decide among yourselves what to do, and I will focus on world building and npc control.
You can die, and it's even likely that at least one of you will. For fairness most actions will be decided with dice rolls.
