Alright so I am thinking of playing a civilization called "The Zoa" they are colonial creatures who live in massive space habitats, I'm still deciding on an FTL method, I was thinking either wormholes or "downloading themselves into subspace and uploading themselves to a different location, except sometimes data gets corrupted and the uploaded zoa are incapable of returning to realspace"

For history I am thinking they are a fairly old race but are recovering from a major virus that utilized the FTL system in order to destroy zoa colonies
Considering joining as either a "human" from the future, A technological alien, or a magitechnological alien

Alright, out of curiosity would a were-octopus or were-starfish who works at an aquarium be acceptable?

He's accepted. He can join the fighting in front of the castle.

Cool made a post
One foot in front of the other Aaron walked through the forest path, every step seemed to echo, he could hear them hear his footsteps, thousands of tiny eyes watching inside and out. they crawled in his head too and under his skin. The forest was not a nice place. Aaron heard something growling, hungry, in the woods. He felt his skin crawl as a buzzing voice filled his head "Keep Focused Aaron, watch your step, it wont be long now till we reach them, We reach the others.""Shh be quiet be quiet be quiet. They can hear us. They smell our breath.""The Beasts in the woods are asleep, they cant see us yet But be quiet so you dont wake them up Aaron. It would be bad bad bad if we woke them up." At last Aaron could see the castle, he could feel its walls crawling up the heavens like a vine, the air tasted foul like sulfer..not too unlike how the hive smelled in his dreams. but he heard other noises other voices as well he could hear the violence. And he looked and saw...was it an angel? an archon? "Do I see that?" "Its light fills your eyes, reflected by the cruel sun. It has form. It has been so long, our memory is fuzzy...what was it?"

Aaron had finally arrived at the fortress and stood motionless at the sight of the birdlike creature.
@Lucidnonsenseit looks ok except his bio reads like his had a Demon for awhile. But the Demons have only been around a couple of months. I'm fine with him having problems before the Demon Lord arrived though.

he had schizophrenia before the demon arrived. when it came back the nature of the schizophrenia changed
@Lucidnonsense let me know when you finish.

done
Appearance:
Name: Aaron Schulz
Age:34
Demon:Nightmares
Personality:mainly keeps to himself, distrustful of those around him, has difficulty distinguishing between reality and the demon in his head. paranoid. but he actually has become accustom to the demon, and considers it an ally more than he trusts the rest of the world.
Drawback: Interface with human host is...imperfect causing symptoms similar to paranoid schizophrenia to arise
Bio: Aaron Schulz had a fairly normal childhood, as he got older he started displaying bizarre behaviors, he became interested in esoteric subjects, psychic powers, government conspiracies, the occult. his views of reality started to drift from what is understood by the consensus of humanity. his family and friends started to worry as his beliefs became increasingly bizarre, he spoke of occult forces influencing every day events, things that only he could see. he was eventually admitted to a mental hospital after a psychotic episode where he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. he recieved therapy and medication for his condition. he lived with his sister for a few years before she died in a freak accident, the demons began talking to him again and with his therapy he learned how to deal with them better and now works to hunt down things that pray on humanity.
What is the strategic value of mechs?
deciding between a "human" nation and a truly non-humanoid alien nation.
