If we could measure and harness the level of stress everyone is feeling this week, we could probably power the country for a long time.

My new obsession: kobolds. Reason: buncha cuties.

Bio

I'll fix up this Bio later to make it real nice. For now, know I used to RP all the time but I had a few years hiatus. I'm back!

Preferred RP types: Fantasy (high or low), sometimes Slice of Life, sometimes Sci-Fi.

A. It's really just there to annoy everyone; I'll add the stealth idea to it
B. Should I change it, or have no blessing at all?

Ultimately it's your character and your choice. I think the blessing is fine. After considering it all, I'd just move the "curse" aspect of the cardinal up into the blessing. Threatening to take you out of stealthy stuff with the bird feels like a bigger detriment than having the boon of courage, so if you're fine with it I say go for it.

Overall, a cool character that seems to go against the normal archetype (impatient rogue) in a good way.
@Reflection I appreciate it! I think I'd be better off having someone to work off of as a partner rather than making a character independently, as I don't really know what to expect. That said, I don't mind either role.

can someone help me with this? ;-;

I like the idea! What is it you're needing help for?

Things I'd like to address briefly:

A. How does the cardinal act as a curse as it sits on her shoulder? Does it whisper insane, old god phrases into her ear? Does it chirp every time she attempts to stealth (definitely a negative as she's a rogue archetype)? Is it a really fat bird and it weighs her down? All that to say without further detriments, I would just move it up from curse and add it to the blessing. Personally I don't think it's powerful enough to warrant a curse unless you want to add more.

B. The blessing almost feels redundant. My initial read was that touching the cardinal would grant courage to someone already courageous. I think I understand it now that if courage is required for a situation and the cardinal is available and amenable, then it would definitely be a boon; e.g. jumping a chasm.
Well hey, sounds like to me we're all good on that front! I really appreciate your understanding.
I appreciate the explanation, I like to just make sure the setting and characters align so we're all on the same page. My concern wasn't that he wants to do great things, simply that he may not have knowledge of previous experiences thus no aspiration to beat an obstacle that he wouldn't be aware of otherwise.

I know ultimately it falls to the GM's discretion. I don't mean to rock the boat because I know I don't have any power or say over anyone else here, especially the story or world. All I meant was to offer some input while at the same time clearing up my own expectation.

Also I'm sure this wasn't your intention but reading this felt really condescending:

@Lucky Well if you actually read my sheet (Which I'm sure you have) you would have also noticed...

I mean, I did read your CS, several times. I like the character. If I misunderstood anything, I apologize. It wasn't clear to me and was what prompted that last message.
@Whoami When our characters are resurrected by Neow, don't they effectively have amnesia? Only reason I ask is because I feel like the implications of @Dark Cloud's character is that he has collected knowledge and experience.

I really like the idea of an adventurer wanting to map the place out rp-wise, but to me it feels like the notion of guiding others to escape is not plausible (for multiple reasons) and also wouldn't have mastered or explored with memory of anything. Especially with the mysterious and twisted nature of the shifting Spire. Now the delusion of doing a lot of good would be grand, however.
Also displaying tentative interest. I'm not entirely familiar, though I've seen like half a season so I feel like I have a grasp as to what's going on here. Although that being said, I don't know which I'd rather be just yet.

Edit: Looking at the CS, I'm frankly kinda intimidated because I've been reading the wiki for what feels like an hour now and I still don't understand everything lol
I am very interested! If we can call roles to play with, I'd very much like to take the one with vivid nightmares.
@Dog Whoa that's completely unexpected lol.
@Whoami At least for the sake of having choices for Joan, are we going to include more types of creatures aside from the canon monsters/enemies? I'm fine if not, just curious if we'll expand on the world within the Spire.
