bonjour mes amies !

Bio

I'm an artist, a student, a crafter, and an avid reader. I love fantasy, sci-fi, horror and all sorts of permutations of the former. I'm quite literate, I can be very picky, and it's true that I can be somewhat high-maintenance when it comes to GMing or Playing.

I'm learning French, and though I only speak a little now I study every day. Je ne parle qu'un peu français, mais je étudie tous les jours !

I use Discord and will give out my username as is necessary. :)

I am CST/GMT -6, if that helps anyone.

I am available basically all the time for text games; for live sessions I can only do Thursday afternoon to late evening.

* I'd rather play with a group; Solo games just don't hold that much interest for me on a site like this one.
* I'm not interested in Sandbox games, truth be told. I like set goals and a story constantly in motion with room for player-made subplots.
* I'm not interested in Freeform games, either.
* I'm interested in Classes, not classless or build-your-own systems. Nothing against them, but they're typically not for me.
* I prefer mature GMs and players, and prefer both to be very literate. I'll lose interest quickly, otherwise.
* Mature games with mature themes appeal to me. I like the wider pool of choices and enjoy the fact that I don't have to worry about moderating my character's language--or my own descriptive tendencies in gritty/grim scenarios.
* I'm not fond of political intrigue; I just don't have the head for it, I'm sorry.
* Combat is great, but not every ten minutes, you know? :D War games are also out.
* I like for guidelines and houserules to be as clear as possible.
* I appreciate patient and respectful GMs; I give what I get.

She laughed at the responses to her toast and then emptied her mug: she didn't plan on getting too deeply into her cups, at least not until she's had a proper look around and been appropriately picky about the food on offer. She'd just lowered into a hunker to accept an offered piece of what smelled like smoked fish when the whistle cut through the air and prompted one of her ears to flick toward its owner.

Catgirl, though the actual sounds offen differed, was pretty much the same in every language Kiris had yet encountered and that brought her head up and her eyes to the dwarf. She sniffed at the air at the offer of food and then hopped down from the table; it spared her from having to eat the awful fish. She liked fish well enough, but for some reason all the hairless monkeys thought it would be wonderful to offer her an endless variety of milks, fishes, and cheeses.

Kiris issued a curious trilling sound as she approached the table, and as she settled into a chair her citrine gaze wandered the group as she caught mention of the panther -- surely Shari -- though her expression doesn't make it easy to tell she understands what's being said.

"Rre?" The trill is a pleasant enough sound, and rises at the end like a question.
Kiris Trell & Shari (sheet pending)

Kiris had gotten into a bit of everything since she stepped aboard the flotilla in Gem, pleasant enough about lending a hand to chores and tasks to earn her keep. Even so, she ate her own food and always away from everyone but Shari, the lean panther that had been her second shadow since... well, Gem too, actually. Evenings were the best, in her opinion, as that's when people really had free time to talk and boast. Kiris was no bard and her singing voice likely only appreciated by Shari, but she'd shared some of her stories and songs in exchange for the same of her new friends -- just as she'd done in almost every inn or tavern or town center for years.

She was a stranger in strange lands, and she revelled in it.

There were other strangers around, too. She was firmly of the mindset that you didn't lash together a bunch of twigs and kindling and set out across the unruly tides for nothing, and Kiris felt some true kinship with their madness if nothing else. It wasn't quite enough to keep her from feeling stir-crazy, nor to blunt how eager she felt to put her feet on proper ground... but the promise of a day of no work, all play? Shari would probably prefer to stay hidden in the quieter areas, and of course Kiris would check on her regularly -- but one of the best parts about wandering was getting to participate in all sorts of crazy festivities.

Kiris rolled from her hammock and onto her feet, then rose with a stretch and a pleasant 'mrowl' of a sound that rose at the end like a question. Shari, mostly hidden in the den of an overturned cot, answered with a yawned purr before she went back to sleep. The traveller gathered her things and set out from the bunk-house she shared with a few other women also travelling on their own, her ears perked and her tail curled as if a question. Often she sang along, and though she was quite game to try the offered foods and drinks most, she found, were almost entirely unpalatable. A few were at least edible, but one drink of fermented milk and herbs was so surprisingly reminiscent of tresh that she'd nearly wept. Instead, she stepped up onto a table and raised her cup. "Acar treshi!"
Is this full?

Yes, this game is full.
@Saarebas@ShwiggityShwah Re: 5th member
Sorry, I'm not up for it. I want to stick with 1-2 other players and we have that at present.

@Arthanus@ShwiggityShwah Re: Overlap
There's so much available to us that overlap shouldn't need to happen. :D
@Arthanus Welcome to the party!
I'm interested. :)

"Rre, shi?" The tabaxi's ears moved in feigned confusion as she gestured to herself, and her almost luminous green eyes blinked in near perfect mimicry of uncertainty.

"Sha Kiris kel Trell, ressa." The sounds rolled from her like the purring of a cat, and as the hairless creature -- the human, Kiris reminded herself -- furrowed its brows in perplexity she had to hold back a chuff. This fellow had been sat just down the bar discussing his 'curiosity' as though she couldn't hear him, but now that he was stymied by an unexpected language barrier he could only sputter a few more attempts before he walked away.

She'd travelled overland and port to port across the world, mostly eastward, for five years and in that time Kiris had met plenty of curious people. The further she got from home the more likely it was she stood out until, here at last, she sat in another new tavern and tried to decide what to drink. It was certainly warmer here than it would be at home, but then again life in the Black Barrens was framed by snow and ice, and often punctuated by untimely death. That wasn't why she'd left, though, and her tail flicked in minor annoyance as she pushed the thought away. She didn't want to think about her family right now, or their expectations. With luck they'd given up on those dreams once she'd run away.

Kiris wore some of her souvenirs on her person in the form of a fine bow (1), a fitted shirt of padded scale (2), and a broad bracelet of lapis lazuli and silver (3) -- but otherwise she wore a sturdy belt in addition to the travel-worn satchel, quiver, and paired spears. The fur atop her head grew slightly longer and shaggier than over the rest of her body, and in some of it she'd braided bits of shaped gems or bones.

Kiris Trell stood at just under 5 feet, 4 inches and weighed close to 80 pounds. Her slim frame was well built for climbing and sneaking, and the colour of her grey-brown fur lent itself well to natural camouflage. In strong sunlight faint rosettes of darker grey can be seen along the fur of her arms, legs, and back. Her tail, itself close to 5 feet in length, was banded in rings of steadily darkening black until the rounded tip. Some would suggest that Kiris looked something akin to a cougar, or mountain lion, though the shape of her head and thickness of her fur suggested more than passing resemblance to snow leopards as well.

As of late she has been seen in the constant company of a young panther, a nearly black and subtly spotted beast most likely from one of the lush jungles of Ikar, or Taglee. Still an adolescent, the size of the panther's feet suggest that she might grow to rival even the ferocious tigers of Taglee.

Here's the bones; if the mechanics are alright I'll work on a proper few paragraphs of biography. :)

I need to know a few things.

1. Lvl 3 is fine.

2. What kind of game. Action, horror, intrigue, grand epics, weird locales?

3. I'm not a stickler for the rules. Mainly cause I'm not an expert. Thus I'm not going to 100% adhere to them. If it's more thematic, dramatic, entertaining to do something I'm going to prob let people do it. Within reason. Is that ok?

4. I'll have a serious storyline for a campaign. I totally expect you to make a mockery out of it. :) is that ok?

2: Yes, except intrigue. Weird locales definitely a plus.

3. Totally fine. :D

4. I love some comedy/drama, so that works for me!

Oh and another thing. I like to create. So theres going to be things like trolls that dont regenerate. Smart slimes. Demons and devils that dont have horns, And unique monsters that dont follow the D&D rules. If your character is an expert on them you'll get some tidbits but it's for this reason that anything could happen.

Again are you ok with that?

yesssssss!
