@Lamb Of GothKeirra took another shot at the doe, grounding it before it left her line of sight. She then focused all of her attention on the wolf. It wasn't moving but it had only partially fallen. She could see that it was fighting with every ounce of its being to stand, adrenaline the only thing holding it together. She slowly began circling it, coming up behind it, staying silent and well out of sight.
Keirra watched with worry that it wasn't going to drop as it just stood there a few seconds more. The wolf's breathing looked labored and she knew it must be in intense pain. Her shot had missed, or hadn't been strong enough. Either way she was sure it was going to take another to put the beast down for good. Not having the stomach to let it suffer this pain any longer she leveled her sights at it one more time. Just as she prepared herself to fire again it fell to the ground in the tall grass and she lost her line of sight. She would have to get closer.
Slowly she began to inch up on the monstrosity barely keeping her own legs from shaking. She was afraid of this thing. No matter its size this thing was a predator and she wasn't experienced as she made herself out to be.
'What if it turns on me? What if it still has strength left? What if, what if, what if...' Her mind raced as she finally drew close enough to see the majority of the beast again, her weapon drawn, her face stern.
