My mind is like yarn and squishy things and cute animals with a bunch of blood and skeletons over in the corner.

Bio

All right. Bio. Let's do this.

Started RPing when I was about 12. Since then, I've become exceptionally more literate. I like me some SciFi, some spooky horror, and any sort of Dystopian setting.

In the real world, I'm a moderately interesting person. I'm majoring in Microbiology and minoring in philosophy. I sew corsets, knit warm fuzzy things, and never have enough money to travel to the places I want to see.

Today was significant. It was the first day Morgan had set foot outside on her own since the quarantine began. Before now, she had always been accompanied by Daniel. Today, she had only his leather jacket for company. And she was terrified.

It had been three days since he'd disappeared, and the carefully rationed food was beginning to run out. Between anxiety and a serious lack of food, she had already lost so much weight. She couldn't afford to drop too many more pounds, not if she wanted to survive any decent amount of time. Daniel had been out scavenging three days ago, and hadn't returned that evening. She'd stayed up all night waiting, praying that her friend was all right. But he still hadn't returned. Two days later, she knew she had to go out and search for him. Daniel's leather jacket was too big for her, but she'd put it on anyways. Her own jacket had been locked in the university residencies when they'd fled, and he'd had an extra.

Morgan walked quietly, silently. She constantly checked over her shoulder, scanning her surroundings for any sign of motion. She took each street at a jog, hiding in doorframes and empty alleyways, always checking that the coast was clear. Every time a breeze blew, rustling some garbage or disturbing a pile of dead leaves, she panicked. Several times now, a plastic bag had caused her to go scurrying off into the nearest alleyway. It didn't help that she had no idea where to begin searching for Daniel. Where had he gone to look for food? She refused to allow her mind to entertain the concept that he might not be alive anymore. She refused. Turning around a corner, she started cautiously down another empty street.

At that moment, crackling static sounded through the city. It increased in a deafening feedback loop, getting louder and louder with each passing second.

Fear froze Morgan in place. Her hands flew up to cover her ears, and she looked up and down the street in terror. All along the road, the infected seemed to be coming to life. They were attracted to the noise, and she was standing in the middle of the street. She was standing in the middle of the street, and she was undoubtedly going to die.

She turned tail and sprinted, straight to the nearest doorway. It was some sort of tiny convenience store. Mercifully, it was unlocked. She tore the door open and slammed it quickly behind her, kneeling down to hold it shut. A body slammed against the door, one of the infected, and she squeezed her eyes tightly shut. A second time, the door rattled as the infected person outside slammed his weight against it. A squeak of terror escaped from Morgan's throat. Outside, the static was clearing, forming instead into proper words. Morgan was far too preoccupied with keeping the door closed to even begin to pay attention. She opened her eyes once more, looking up at the doorway to the convenience store as the infected charged it again. Her weight wasn't enough to keep it closed, and it opened several inches before she could slam it shut again. But she had seen what she needed to. There it was, the lock. She reached up and turned it quickly, locking the door. It wouldn't hold for long...

At that moment, she heard a yell, a human yell of pain, sound from outside. It was loud enough to be heard above the sound of the the speakers, and loud enough to attract the attention of the infected outside the door. Morgan knew whoever yelled was as good as dead already. If they weren't inside a building, they were gone. But she couldn't help but cringe in sympathy for him.

The message had said something about Memorial Park. She knew where it was, but she didn't have a hope of getting there alive in a day. Not by herself...she needed to find Daniel first, and she needed to find him alive. She rubbed her hands against her face, fingers shaking from the close call, and backed away from the door. Straight into one of the convenience store shelves. Empty plastic containers clattered to the ground, and she fumbled to catch them. In doing so, she managed to knock the entire metal shelf over, and it clattered against the ground. "Crap!" she hissed under her breath, backing away as quickly as she could.
-Gives Rultaos a shoulder massage and cookies- It's okay, take your time. ^_^
When done well, insane characters are actually very interesting. They can really add to the plot in some cases.

I'm in an RP that's been going for a solid year now. There are two loonies in the group. One is played very well, while the other has gotten a bit stale.

I'd be down to see a crazy in the group.
Steel Legion sounds bad-ass. That's seriously epic, man.

I'm gonna be trying out for the Bisons next year. Bisons. For high jump. There is nothing even remotely epic about the image of a bison trying to high jump. XD

EDIT: See?
Both would be pretty awesome. Vikings is probably more sportsy.

The cheerleader squad could be nicknamed the Valkyries. XD
Valhalla Valkyries would be a badass sports team. :3

NAME: Payne, Morgan
AGE: 19, born September 12, 2013.
SEX: Female

PERSONALITY:
Morgan Payne is fiercely introverted, and impossibly shy. Social interaction both terrifies her and drains her energy. Morgan also has a notable stutter, which, coupled with her social anxiety, makes conversation incredibly challenging. When she becomes anxious, her stutter is more pronounced. When her stutter worsens, she becomes more self-conscious and anxious about the impression she is making on people. When she is forced to talk to others, she has difficulties making eye contact, and habitually looks at either the ground, past the other person's shoulder, or at a point somewhere along the horizon. Her answers in conversation are brief.

When she is allowed to be alone, Morgan is a gifted and high-functioning individual. She excels at individual tasks, and is able to easily enter a state of hyperfocus when her mind is engaged and stimulated.

OCCUPATION:
University Student, studying computer programming.

BACKGROUND:
Morgan was born to Jordan and Elizabeth Payne. Jordan worked as an electrical technician in Fargo, North Dakota, and his wife worked as a secretary for the same company. When their daughter was six years old, they began receiving worrying notices from her school teachers. Morgan was shy. She wouldn't speak in class. When she did speak, her stutter became so pronounced that communication was nearly impossible. For a year, her parents tried speech therapy and other programs to help their daughter's shyness. Two weeks into second grade, they decided that homeschooling would be a better option.

While homeschooling did nothing to improve Morgan's social skills, it did allow her to excel academically. Her grades went from failing to flawless in a matter of weeks. She achieved grade level, and quickly surpassed. By middle school, she was completing her high school courses. Morgan Payne achieved her high school diploma shortly after turning 17, with all the necessary prerequisites to begin studying computer programming. Valhalla University had the most challenging computer science program. Morgan, despite having lived an incredibly sheltered life, wanted to leave her hometown and attend. Her application was accepted, but her parents took more convincing. Eventually, they agreed to let her attend the fall term.

Morgan Payne stayed in residency at Valhalla University. While many students would be distracted by the lively atmosphere in the building, she had minimal desire for any form of social life. Her anti-social work ethic paid off. By the end of first year, Morgan was in the top 7% of all her classes. She returned in 2032 for her second year. It was in September that she met Daniel Richards. Morgan had never had anyone she would call a friend, but Daniel, he came close. He was a second-year physics student, nearly as quiet as Morgan, but not half as shy.

She found herself latching onto him like a leech. Academically, Daniel and Morgan were equally gifted. They frequently studied together, bouncing ideas back and forth, building off of each others' thought processes. While Morgan could present her ideas on paper with flawless clarity, it was Daniel who could share them with other people. Several of their mathematics classes overlapped, and they were tied for top of the class by the end of the fall term.

Shortly after the winter term of school began, Valhalla City was placed under quarantine.

SKILLS:
Puzzle-solving and Mental Math: From finding the quickest bus route to solving a Rubik's cube, Morgan excels at all displays of her mental abilities. She can solve a 1000 piece puzzle in a matter of hours, and a Rubik's cube in under a minute. Complex math problems, ones that most people would require a calculator for, she can perform in her head.

Spacial Skills and Direction: Morgan is able to accurately judge distances, and seems to have an internal compass. Her sense of direction is phenomenal. The girl rarely gets lost, even with minimal points of reference.

Computer Proficiency: Although her use for this particular gift is limited now, Morgan excels with the use of computers. Before the Valhalla incident, she was studying programming, and simultaneously trying to receive her certification in ethical hacking. She is gifted, there is no question about it.

LIKES:
Puzzles. Computers. Small animals. Instrumental music. Mathematics.

DISLIKES:
Social interaction. Confrontation. Loud noises. Being outside after dark. Risky situations.
I'm still planning to get a bio typed up. I'm just in a few too many RPs on varying sites at the moment. 10 Hour bus ride coming up on Thursday, though, so it'll definitely be typed up during that time at the latest. xD

Also, I'm Canadian, too! :D
