Was feeling the need to go deep sci fi
Name: Fahz LeRonne
Race: Cathar
Age: 45
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Fahz has lost much during his life. His left arm is cybernetic, as well as his right leg below the knee, as is his right eye, which glows bright yellow, and finally his left ear is a cybernetic construction which twitches uncannily similar to a normal cathar ear. He generally wears clothing, which is slightly aytpical of a Cathar. He is particularly fond of a black leather jacket, which he tries to wear over his gear. He occasionally wears a headwrap.
Personality: Fahz is reclusive and slow to trust. He often is outwardly angry or sarcastic, not seeing friends as a good use of his time. He generally hates living people, preferring the company of AIs. What he despises most is seeing AIs subjugated, which has spurred him to unshackle hundreds of AIs across the galaxy - making him a criminal. He also, naturally, dislikes slavery, and has a personal code that he doesn't work with slavers.
Deep down, it can be said that Fahz still wants to do good in the world, he just finds it hard cooperating with others. He often sees the ends as justifying the means, doing anything it takes to achieve what he sees as an on balance victory. He would kill 100 people to save a town of 1000, without question, for example.
Occupation: Black market scientist specializing in Artificial Intelligence and cybernetics
History: Fahz was born into slavery. He doesn't know where he was born - the Hutts never informed him. For the first 13 years of his life, he was a house slave to an abusive Hutt on the moon of Nar Shadda, until he was bought and freed by a wealthy benefactor, the famed Kaminoan scientist Zu We. Zu, travelling to Nar Shadda to gain insight into the Hutt use of mining droids, was a famed scientist who specialized in robotics.
Fahz apprenticed under Zu for the next ten years, finding a natural affinity for the sciences, and taking a special interest in artificial intelligence. By the age of 25, Fahz was considered a genius in the field, having published multiple papers and even having created several AI programs that had been instituted at various enterprises.
His fortune changed when the Hutt, Uga, who had enslaved him as a child, sent a bounty hunter to kidnap him, killing Zu We in the process. She had tracked his success and became rife with jealousy, and credited herself for fostering Fahz's eventual success. For the next decade, Fahz was forced to work in Uga's factory, where he developed droids for a mercenary robot army for the Hutt. He would have rebelled much sooner if not for Mehda, a fellow Cathar who was a janitorial slave in the factory. The pair quickly fell in love, something Uga picked up on, and Fahz worked in silence to not risk her life.
Mehda was repeatedly beaten within an inch of her life whenever Fahz did not produce the required droids for Uga's army. This continued for almost 15 years, as Fahz was kept under strict supervision as his genius made Uga a region hegemon among crime lords. Obsessed with not losing Mehda, Fahz in secret uploaded her consciousness into a virtual program - considered highly illegal and a violation of human dignity - in a process that took years to perfect. Mehda died in this process, of course, and taking solace in the fact that she was forever free, Fahz triggered a 'kill switch' in the current batch of droids - sending them berserk. In this battle, he was badly mutilated - losing many of the body parts that today occupy cybernetics - but managed to drag himself offworld by hijacking and reprogramming a transport.
That was almost 5 years ago. Since, Fahz has been acting outside of Republic law, creating illegal AI and modifying existing AI outside of normally regulated Republic bounds. They agreed to temporary amnesty when it was revealed that Uga, after her embarrassing loss of her droid factory creating a power vacuum, had fled known space, only to reappear on Gamorria as a major crime lord. Fahz's goal is not only to hunt her down, but root out her entire empire - completely destroy her legacy.
Equipment: A small laser blaster, various circuitboards and wires, a few EMP grenades, uses claws as natural Cathar weapon of choice.
Fahz can run a remote program that makes droids lose their targeting parameters, causing them to shoot everything on sight.
Skills: Computer hacking, AI development, engineering
Weaknesses: Fahz is prone to rage, is often described as merciless and Machiavellian, and is particularly weak in combat, instead relying on his companions or hacked droids.
Race: Cathar

Name: Mehda LeRonne
Race: Cathar
Age: 36 (31 at the age of her death)
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Mehda exists as a hologram program, resembling a Cathar woman but taking on the characteristic blue hue of the hologram. She can operate freely because the hardware containing her is a small VI droid that follows Fahz around, or remains inactive in his care. She can projects whenever she wants to.
Personality: Mehda is quiet and gentle, but she enjoys talking to new people. She has a submissive personality, and often does not question Fahz, although she will try and gently guide him to be more pacifistic and kind to people. She tries not to think about her earlier experiences - in fact, she has blocked off much of her memory of before her death.
Mehda often is seen pondering the nature of her existence. She has thought often on whether she is an AI copy of the Mehda that had to die to create her, or whether she is truly the consciousness of Mehda uploaded into software. She has yet to arrive at a conclusion, and is often racked with crises of identity, verging on suicidal, but no way of actually achieving that goal.
Occupation: AI Hologram
History: Mehda was born into the servitude of Uga the Hutt, and was a domestic slave since she could walk. She never knew her parents and didn't form a close relationship with anyone before she met Fahz, who was the only other Cathar she had interacted with.
The two fell in love, but this was exploited by Uga, who turned Mehda from slave to hostage. Mehda regularly saw Fahz in controlled visits to maintain their relationship, but otherwise was locked away, being beaten or tortured when Fahz disobeyed.
For years, Fahz would mutter about getting her out of the Hutt homeworld. Mehda never imagined how - they were locked tight. One day, however, he approached her. He offered her eternal life, eternal freedom, in return for her unyielding trust of him. Mehda had believed that Fahz had gone insane, but in confusion, said that she trusted him. The Cathar killed their escorts with his bare hands, attached some wires to her neck, and told her to close her eyes. Mehda felt a jolt of unimaginable pain, and when she next 'awoke', she was in dark space... the software uploaded to Fahz's machine.
She was finally free... right? It wasn't her choice, but it was better than Uga's captivity. Ever since, Mehda has remained at Fahz's side, and the two remain lovers, although Mehda seems to grow more distant every day.
Skills: She can access information from the extranet with ease, often guiding her companions through difficult situations or acting as a translator.
Weaknesses: With no body, Mehda cannot interact with the physical world.
