Bio

I've been roleplaying for a decade now. It's been off-and-on and I thought I could take a few years away from this site to write for myself. I haven't...been diligent about that. So in the meantime, I'm back to shake off the dust from my keyboard and re-refine my skills.

oh...no they don't.

Plot: In this medieval universe, four highly segregated kingdoms represent each season; Spring/Summer/Winter/Autumn. Besides imports and exports of food and goods between sectors, no other travel or communication is allowed. Those who grow up in the Winter Kingdom, a pale-skinned, dark-haired and icy-eyed people, know despairingly little of the other seasons. So too, the Springs know nothing but Spring and the Summers/Autumns nothing but their own people. Each kingdom has, more or less, a specific ethnicity and culture. Think of this like four completely different countries. Ancient dragon clans, each respective to a season and its territory, keep their realm within a single climate. When upset, the dragons unleash disasters such as floods, blizzards, droughts, etc. that ravage the lands. When kept content by animal (and sometimes human) sacrifice, the kingdom resides in relative peace. Seeking better fortune, my character of the Spring Kingdom, breaks code and infiltrates the kingdom (you choose!) of your main character.

Typical physical features of each Kingdom
(This, -save for the Springs- can be altered.)

Key: Hair color/eye color/skin tone

Spring: blonde/green/fair to olive
Summer: gold/gold/copper to chocolate
Autumn: brown to auburn/crimson/freckled and fair
Winter: black to black-blue/blue/ivory

That's the basic premise. My allocated partner for this plot never...responded to my intro post, so I'm trying again. :/ There's a lot of socio-economic unrest to play with here, some magic (although I'd like to keep any magic to the highest social classes and be fairly simple like potions/charms/herbs), and...possible romance.

Details:

-I'm expecting you to add much to the plot, keep throwing me twists--challenging me.

-I play ANY gender and ANY pairing, but for this plot, my main will be female. As I AM a woman, I probably write best as a woman.

-I WILL be asking for a sample post. Yeah, I'm really snooty and I want my partner to have a writing skill to match my own. I've taken a few years' hiatus from this site, and while my skills may be a bit rusty, I need someone to push me to write at my best. I DO care about spelling/grammar/syntax. I'm expecting 3+ solid paragraphs. Or if it's a tiny novel...hey, that's ok too.

-You've best be OK with 18+ themes. We'll most likely use PMs instead of a thread.

I'm happy to answer any questions. As I have an intro ready to go, we could start this pronto and that would give you a good deal of information about this setting/universe.

It this idea intrigues you, please post HERE a sample of your writing!

Much appreciated @White Iris. I'd like to find my prime again too!
I've been roleplaying off and on for a decade now. I left this site to pursue other stuff and now I'm finding that I need to not only reawaken my creative writing skills, but hone my technical writing skills as well. Thus I returned.

I'm open to plot ideas. I DO NOT rp fandoms, existing characters, or anything from a show/book/etc. Please only give me original themes! My characters are all genders but as a female, I'm sure I'm better at writing a female. I'll do MxF, FxF and may be persuaded to do MxM. I like adding lust/sexual tension between characters.

Sci-fi is fine, fantasy is generally ok as long as you're not giving me stereotypical 'witch' or 'elf' or whatever. Make it your own! Modern settings are always fine by me and I'm currently feeling something medieval-ish, although I certainly don't have to settle on that.

I write ADVANCED. Yeah, my skills may need some fine-tuning after a long hiatus, but I cringe at grammar and spelling errors. So...I'm a little elitist. I need a push right now to write at my best.

I found something archived on my comp that I started and...never finished. I'm asking for at least a few paragraphs per post. More is acceptable.

So instead of posing a plot idea, I'm simply asking for compatible writing companions. If you would like a 1x1 right now that won't necessary be a speedy endeavor but will give you some quality writing, please post HERE a writing sample, and perhaps a setting or character interest you'd like to work on.

I'm only taking ONE project right now. It's all I can handle for the moment...and I'm selective.
Bump.

Keeping this open for a bit.
Hello @Ariya. Would you be able to give me some samples of your writing?
@Hank and of course @Mahz I remember you too! Woo! Lookit all this taggy stuff like facebook. This site has certainly seen an upgrade or two... :D
If you're thinking 'Game of Thrones' leave. I haven't read it, nor have I watched it. No. I've actually been reading some Grimm's fairytales, which I guess is giving me the headspace of something medieval-ish.

Bear with me; it's been some years since I've been on this site. I remember creating elaborate int. checks and I just...well, that's not happening right now. I'm having to get used to this site and this form of writing once again. But as I'm neglecting my own writing, I'm needing the creative outlet with a partner who will push me to do what I love: write.

I'm female. I'm 24. My characters will be all ages and genders. I'm okay with ANY gender pairing. I'm totally ok with 18+ scenarios. I think I used to write solely over PM, or take the "smutty" stuff to PM and back to the thread. No email writing. I'm sorry to say I don't have any samples of my own writing, but I absolutely will be screening anyone interested to make sure that our writing will be on par with each other.

ANYWAY,

Years ago, on this site, I started a story that had to do with another land that was divided into kingdoms based on seasons. Winter kingdom, where it's always winter, summer, spring, autumn, etc. Summer natives might all be blonde and blue-eyed, Autumn natives maybe Redheaded. It should be very telling as to where a person is from. I've always liked the agricultural, social, and political struggles that would present. Imports and exports would be taking place all the time, but a person native to say, the Winter kingdom, would be forbidden (or perhaps allowed only by permit), to visit or live in another kingdom. It's very segregated. There would be unrest. It would be like four closely-guarded separate countries, with almost separate ethnicities. This is taking place during a medieval time period, and the mixing of cultures would be very...uh...illegal.

Your main character lives in a particular kingdom. You choose. (Previously we had a bit of a FxF Princess/Princess or Princess/Waiting Maid thing going on. I'm up for whatever, honestly.) My main lives in a different kingdom. One of our characters runs away to escape some sort of persecution. She or he crosses kingdom boundaries and tries to seek solace with a people that are not her/his own.

There's the main conflict. I haven't fleshed out much else, and I haven't done this for so long that I'm hoping if someone is interested, they will be willing to add their own ideas to my skeleton of a thought.

So, post here if interested. Again, I'll be screening for writing compatibility. Thank you.
Hello all. I quit roleplaying several years ago to pursue my own writing. I used to be Snozzberry4947 on this site, if anyone recalls me...well, hi! Please have patience as I navigate this site again and get used to all the lingo I once knew so well.

I've neglected my own writing for some time now, and feel at a creative standstill. I'm hoping that by joining again, I will just simply write. I first learned about roleplaying when I was fourteen and now it's a decade later. I miss writing. I miss the creative outlet. I miss expanding my vocabulary and strengthening my grammar and style. So...I'll see how this goes! Wish me luck.
