David was siting on the floor near the corner of the main room, from his place he could see most of the current occupants, he smiled as he saw the small children fast asleep, 'the children, David...the children...they are humanity's only hope for a brighter future and it is our job as adults to guide them through these dark times' his grandfather's words from all these years ago reverberated in his mind like it was yesterday, his smile fell as reality came crashing down, he unbuttoned his suitcase and took out a piece of paper with his latest research notes and skimmed through it sighing with frustration at the lack of progress nevertheless he will never lose hope as long as he is still breathing "and sane" he whispered to himself as he sighed again and returned the piece of paper before buttoning his suitcase.

He heard the young man...Ajit if he remembered correctly, whispering about them having a can opener, he did not have the slightest idea of how the young man fished out something like that from that old contraption he always saw him fiddling around with, but well, at least now he doesn't need to find sharp metal objects to use them as a makeshift can opener for his soup cans "Good job, it will be pretty useful" he complemented Ajit on his handiwork.

He laid down on the ground trying to find some sleep, luckily he found an old dusty cushion to lay his head on, not the most comfortable thing, but it was much better than the cold hard floor.

I already thought up of something for my character so i'm going to post in the IC now, i was going to wait for the others but they are taking their time and i did not want the RP to remain idle.

Personality: David is your stereotypical eccentric scientist, he have a difficulty in trusting others as he feels that they will get in the way of his ambitions which he is very secretive about, he is somewhat arrogant as he believes that he is the smartest person in the world due to the obvious lack of educational institutions, on the bright side he is a very helpful person and will try to help anyone in need as much as he can, he also have a weak spot for children, he also have a sarcastic sense of humor.

Short Bio: David was orphaned at a very young age and lived his first 17 years in a safe-house/bunker in the care of his Grandfather, he came from a long family of scientists and learned people, his grandfather was also his private tutor and thought him everything from chemistry to biology and many other sciences that are now lost, at the age of 17 his grandfather got seriously ill from a long forgotten disease and on his deathbed gave David the key of his study room which was always locked and made him promise to continue the research that he and David's father started, after his grandfather death and learning about the secret research hidden in his grandfather's study room he was determined to finish what his grandfather and father couldn't, he spent the next 25 years of his life travelling around what was known as the United States, joining many groups of survivors for his own protection against the cannibals as he could act as the group's healer with his extensive knowledge in biology and medicine, recently he stumbled upon an evidence that showed him the way to finally solve the puzzle that is his research lies in what was once known as New York City, which eventually led him to the Rochester crew.

Weapons: A fast acting poison laced surgical scalpel tied to a wooden stick to give him range(the poison will cause a severe heart attack seconds from entering the blood stream of the opponent), however, he is not that good of a fighter

Equipment: A suitcase filled with secret documents of his research, 3 cans of soup, 1 refillable water bottle, medical alcohol, a role of medical gauze, 10 test tubes filled with solid and liquid materials, A pestle and mortar, 5 writhed wild flowers used to extract the poison, surgical gloves and a surgical mask.

Other: He gets defensive when asked about his research and therefore hates nosy people
