The angry bull was still angry when Rae ran past him, but he was confused too. The woman was safe so why get back into the fray. For a few seconds he couldn't do anything but stare dumbfounded at her pulling Jim to his feet. Jim, wasn't confused though. Well, he was, but that was his usually state so he reacted quicker to the change in events and got to his feet. "Stay!" He said to the tauros in what he hoped sounded like a commanding voice. It did its trick and the bull's eyes almost went crossed.

Jim took Rae's hand, while the other held tightly to mareep. "Let's go!" He dragged her along as he hurried over to the fence which couldn't be climbed with both hands full. "Okay Rae, you first." He let go over her hand and then put the mareep on the other side. Once he was certain Rae would make it over before him he started climbing.

It was at this point that the bull pokemon realized what was going on, and his anger increased turned and charged right at the Jim's behind. Jim got over in time, but it didn't do any good. The tauros didn't stop at the gate. He went through it. The wood splattered into a storm of splinters as he raced past Jim and the others. He started to turn for another go at them, but didn't get the chance.

"That's enough out of you!" An angry old man's voice called. There was a flash of light and the bull disappeared. "Now then." The old man said, lowering his pokeball. "YOu kids mind telling me what's going on and why your on my property?"
The wild growlith was too preoccupied with his assault on Jim's walnut to notice the rapidly approaching squirtle as it rushed towards him. Eventually he realized there was a newcomer to the battle, but by then he was rolling on the ground. It hurt but he wasn't out of the fight yet. He hoped to his feet and blasted another stream of plasma, this time at squirtle.

"Now's your chance WAlnut, give him another tackle!" Walnut nodded. "Bulba" and rushed towards Growlith while his attention was focused on squirtle.
Zypha was at the wheel. So Abigail took the crow's nest. Which she quickly came to regret. It wasn't a lot of work, but that was the quickest way to get exhausted and before too long she started making up scenarios in her head. Sometimes there were sea kings and other times there were marines. One time they got attacked by a group of merpeople. Currently she was fantasizing about an enemy ship that was launching cannon balls at them, at least she thought it was a fantasy. That all came to an end when Zypha mentioned them having admirers.

"What?" Abigail blinked and blinked but the image wouldn't disappear. "Oh crap! That's an actual enemy ship!" Since Zypha had noticed them too she didn't have to call anything out and used that time to hurry down to deck to stand next to the more dominant member of the two crewed ship. "What did I miss? Did they send some kind of warning I didn't see or did they just start firing for no reason?" She scratched her nose and leaned forward on a railing to try and get a better look at the approaching vessel. "Those aren't marines so why fire at us?" She turned her attention back to Zypha. "By any chance is there some kind of dark and mysterious past that's coming back out of the mist filled ocean?" It was a bright and sunny day, but that wasn't the point!

She nodded in agreement with Zypha's decision to get closer. "That sounds like a plan. I doubt they'd be expecting that. I know I wouldn't." She paused and watch the other ship start to get bigger as they moved closer. "So are we going to ram them when we get there, or try and board their ship? There's always that famous option of looking like we're going to ram them and then don't. Just move a bit to the side and sail right past them. Then they'll lose time due to having to turn the ship around to chase us."
"Damn. Damn. Damn." Jim said. He started to turn to run, but remembered mareep. Yes, it wasn't his pokemon, and no it was never a good idea to just grab a strange animal, even if it was merely supposed to exist in a fictional world and was cuter than the world's cutest button. "Oh damn." He doubled back, hosted the fuzzy pokemon and started running after Rae. He didn't quiet make it over the fence when the tauros caught up to him, but he didn't get impaled by the painful looking horns. He'd call that a win.

Instead he ended up rolling away from the danger, pulling the electric type close to his chest. When he stood up he was once again facing the pokemon. He lowered his horned head and kicked the ground, readying himself for another charge. Behind him there was the fence. Behind the fence there was Rae and behind Rae, someways back there was a complete stranger rushing towards them, yelling something Jim couldn't make out.
Walnut heard Haruki's warning. He didn't need it. He'd been the first one to know they were dealing with a fire type, and even tried grumbling a warning, but nobody listened. Did they ever? He'd think about it later, and probably come to the conclusion there was a barrier with the language as for now there were more important things at hand, such as not letting himself become a roast. Which he planned to help come to fruition by the simple act of not being where the fire landed.

"Holy hell!' Almond shouted as he looked around for some kind of way to aid his pokemon. "That's a growlith!" Walnut landed and gave him a look that seemed to scream 'shut up and tell me what to do you gawking bastard!' Almond noticed this and shouted "Dodge it Walnut!" He was referring to another stream of fire rushing towards his pokemon.

"Uh." He swallowed hard. "Do you know vine whip?" The pokemon didn't. The confused stare was enough. "Okay then. How about trying to get close and then going for a tackle?" That Walnut could do, potentially. So he started rushing towards the fire type, ready to leap aside in case another jet of flames burned his way.

"Hey Haruki, maybe some help? Your pokemon would have the advantage and we'd have the advantage of numbers."
"Wait" Almond called, raising his hand to try and catch Haruki before she went into the tall grass where the danger was. "Why is your first reaction to run into the danger?" He didn't get a response and would've spent a few moments, not a lot, thinking about what to do next, but Walnut didn't, and hurried off after Haruki. "Oh! Et tu Brutus!" He called, shaking his head as he rant to catch up to the pokemon who was supposed to listen to him. It was like his huskies all over again, charging into a Rottweiler, St Bernard, Irish wolf hound or whatever potential threat chance had put in their path, or behind them, or around the next corner.

As he ran he came into a clearing surrounded by tall grass. There were scratch marks in the dirt, probably from the pidgeys. Walnut's green eyes darted around. He growled again. This time his warning wasn't met with silence. Something big didn't like them, and it was even angrier now that they had done some following of their own. It was obvious because before Almond could say they should leave a flaming dog lunged out of the growth and spit a streak of flames right at Walnut
Oh guys, quick question:

How'd you like the Yami fight? Any feedback I could use for future fights? I'm eager to try and make those confrontations as enjoyable as possible, so feedback would be appreciated.

Also, I have decided to catch up on one piece. I have about 100 episodes to watch. Uhhg

It was good. Enemies that switch up tactics are always going to be fun.

Question(and if its plot related there's no need to answer(merely curious)) how did Yami do the acid attacks? Where those based on anything in nature or was there something special about him/his devil fruit?

Yeah sorry, I know the time skip was kinda random.

Just wanted to wrap Arc 1 up really :P

Since it would have boiled down to that in the long run.

Yeah, I figured it would be something like that.
Are noxx and Leaves still in this?
Abigail wasn't big on people. It wasn't that she had anything against them, or even wished them the slightest bit of ill. It was just she couldn't handle crowds or getting to know new individuals on a reoccurring basis. Even so the tiny island, with its kind individuals had grown on her. Not that she wanted to stay any longer than was absolutely necessary.

While her lone partner talked to the group as they were getting to leave, Abigail did her best not to glare impatiently at the woman. Zypha was much more of a social butterfly than herself, which could cause some annoyance later on, but that didn't do anything to diminish the woman in her eyes. Aside from having a lovely figure her only crew mate was a fighter she was happy to have on her side. So while she spoke, Abigail lit a fat cigar and crossed her hands over her chest while she waited for the goodbye speech to settle down.

She blinked when her name was mentioned and looked around. It took a few seconds for her to register what Zypha had told her. "Oh. Yes, sure." She moved over to the older man and took the log post. With a nod, and nearly silent "Thank you." She stood back and waited while Zypha finished up.

When Zypha called, Abigail nodded. "It's about time." Still, she smiled and gave the village a brief wave.
"Uhm?" Jim told his thundering heart to be still and it did, a little. "I could be wrong but that looks sort of like a Mareep, the electric sheep pokemon." He blinked and patted the adoring pokemon on the head. "It feels real." He patted it again. "Really real like I"m not hallucinating at all." The pokemon went baaa in return.

"Hey!" Someone in the distance yelled. "Hey, you kids, get out of there! Bubba don't take kindly to trespassers." No sooner had the words been spoken than the stampeding pokemon reappeared and headed right towards them.
