@Crimson Raven Yes Bleach RP's have a habit of dying, that's why I'm trying something different in an attempt to keep this one going!

Now this is where I might kill the RP before it starts. Throughout every Bleach RP I've been part of (which was quite a few back in the day) what I call 'snowflake syndrome' was absolutely rife. Snowflake Syndrome is the notion that everyone wants their character to be the series special little snowflake and so they have all the strange and rare powers, to the degree that these kinds of characters would often end up becoming the majority (I was in an RP where the Gotei 13 was more Vizard than regular Shinigami). As such! I will be severely limiting stuff like that, I hope this doesn't scare people off!

As I've already explained everyone will be part of the Gotei 13. That means no Quincies, no Bounts, no Fullbringers and to be honest I'd very much prefer there to be no Vizards either. It's just Shinigami vs Hollows, back to the good 'ol days. What I am willing, and even encouraging is high ranks. I'm hoping that everyone who joins will make a Captain of the Gotei 13 (Excluding the Captain Commander for now) and will have the option of making a secondary character of Lieutenant or slightly lower rank if they so wish (Although I was thinking if you do have a secondary character they can't be in the same squad as your captain, to encourage interaction and differing characters etc)

On top of this I'm looking to restrict other rare powers namely dual Zanpakuto and the generational prodigy. In Bleach dual Zanpakuto are incredibly rare and the fact two Captains had them was unheard of. Secondly the young prodigy only came about once in a generation, Gin was the prodigy and Hitsugaya is now. Going by these rarity standards in the universe I'm thinking I'd only let one Prodigy and one Captain to wield Dual Zanpakuto in. There can be exceptions if you make an amazing character but I'd like to keep to those limits.
I'd really like to hear from those whom have expressed interest about these rules/guidlines whatever you may call them. I realize they could seem harsh but I've chosen to do so for good reason, most prominently to hopefully keep this RP alive for a long time.

As a final note what I'll say is whilst I stand by all that I've said, I am saying not now. I'm not saying never. In future arcs if the RP could utlize it well then I'd definitely be open to including some of the rarer powers or perhaps even races. Quincies could be the focus of another arc for instance?
I do loathe Bounts and Fullbringers though, so if anyone is holding their breath in anticipation of making either, please don't.

So please share your thoughts on the matters!

I've never heard the term "snowflake syndrome", but it applies. Only, why not call it an "avalanche syndrome" because it's the amount of snowflakes that cause all the problems?

Speaking of restrictions do you have any limits for inventions, and/ or custom Kido?

@Crimson Raven Oh totally. The problem would arise if multiple others wanted dual Zanpakuto as well. If nobody else does then your all good if they do then either it would be best character wins or I'd make an exception (If both characters were excellent). I'm not saying that nobody can have these rare powers, I'm just making sure they stay rare.

Ooh! Speaking of which, how about a CS skeleton? It helps me figure out what kind of character I'm going to do? ^.^

I'd love to take part in a Bleach rp. Not sure about Co-Gming though. I can make characters and plot, but sometimes life just jumps out of nowhere and goes boo so I don't think I'd be able to post as often as a COgm should.
@malmshodesCan't speak for other people, but... You end up with a big, impenetrable wall of text which is usually just a big mess and also ends up destroying the individual voices of the writers to create some homogenous mush that's generally just not that fun to read.

I mean I have other problems with collabs, but those are my main ones.

As for the "power play" thing, I honestly think it completely removes the reactionary element of roleplaying, which wouldn't be so bad a thing if the reactionary element wasn't one of the core elements of roleplaying.

I'm not sure about destroying the individuality since from what I gather collaboration posts are really similar to regular rp replying, as in its one after another, but then they share the same post. So I can see how the size would be an issue, since their multiple rounds of posting all on a single space.
Maybe the problem could be solved if instead of collaborating between post, combatants relied on the "mentioning" thing? Again, just my two cents. Not trying to step on any toes. I just really want to see another One piece rp succeed!

I can't really say anything for the power play part since it seems like that would be entirely based on feeling and as I haven't tried it yet...... It would be like saying I do/don't like apples based on the shape.
Oh. That doesn't sound too bad.
Wonder why it seems to be such a bit turn off for most
With her head tilted to the side in confusion Abigail watched the woman try to pull her sword from its sheath but nothing happened. She wobbled for a bit and fell over. "Oh." She blinked. "Oh that wasn't what I expected to happen." With her eyes narrowed the red pirate moved closer to the woman and nudged her with her boot. She was breathing and other than being too tired to keep herself awake didn't seem any worst for the wear. "At least there wasn't any time wasted on another fight, I guess."

Abigail turned away from the woman laying prone on the floor to look at Zypha. She was screaming into a mushi. "Wait?" Abigail blinked. "Did I miss something? How'd you find out this was a pirate's ship?" She looked around, but aside from the fact there seemed to be some kind of inner conflict that went on below deck she couldn't see how that the woman could be so sure about the ship's intent, but then again she was still new to the whole pirate life and just shrugged her shoulders. ""

Resting her hand on the handle of her blade as casually as one could do such a thing she turned her attention to the man in the seastone cuffs. "Whose Treant? "

I'm still here. I kind of get power play, it's not really too different from normal battles in rps, but what's a single person collaborative rp? It doesn't seem very popular so are there any benefits that'll make it worthwhile?

Almond looked around as people past them by. None of them looked like their eyelids weighed any less than a metric ton. "They've got a place to go though." He noted. "I mean, as tired as everyone looks none of them are stopping to rest. They've got places to be." A thought occurred to him. If there was something doing this, manipulating people, and changing them so they were too tired to do anything then what was to stop them from making him and Haruki evening zombies? Was whatever they had that was special enough to protect them from whatever was going on? "Hey?" He turned to Haruki. "Come on. I don't know where we're going but I don't want to be out in the open right now. I really don't." He started walking and Walnut hurried behind him.

The young man nodded. "So maybe we should keep him out, you know as a sort of warning system?" He paused to watch Haruki checked her wallet, fingers crossed that maybe they'd get lucky and whatever she had would be just what she needed. Of course this didn't turn out to be the case. It never was, but he decided to cast his dice anyways. What could it hurt, possible muggings aside because he suddenly found himself to be rich in this world. He frowned. "Yeah, mine too." Almond said looking at his own wallet. It was a holy AC/DC thing with tears along every edge, and an open space in the fabric so big it made it impossible to keep anything but dollars and coupons inside. He had neither. "I guess its going to be like in the games, and we're only going to be able to survive by either battling or eating what we find in other people's trash cans." He made a face.

"Hey, you know what? Let's try going to the gym." He pointed at towering symbol with the boulder badge on it. "Maybe we can find someone to battle there. If nothing else it would be an experience"
This does look interesting.
Abigail stared blankly at the captain's still form. One second he was the problem and the next he was on the floor. "Well, that was anti-climatic." She blinked and stepped over to the still form. "Hey, buddy." There wasn't any affection in the term buddy. She was just being ironic. "ARe you dead?" He poked the enemy captain with her boot. "Not that I mind, either way. Only curious." She stared at him for a few more seconds before shrugging and putting her sword back into its sheath.

She turned her attention back to where she'd last seen Zypha. "Hey, looks like the coast is clear." She turned back finally realizing they weren't alone on the ship. "WEll" she turned back to calling the captain. "At least its clear of people shooting and running at us with swords. There seems to be other individuals on this ship that don't look like the rest. One of them might've killed the captain." She poked the man again with her boot. "I'm fairly certain he's dead, but then again he could be just breathing really shallowly, but I'm not getting close to him. No need to leave myself open for a sucker punch, again."

Abigail turned to the woman who knocked/potentially killed the captain. "Anyways. Thanks for the help."
