Alright. You two are good to go. I copied and pasted your characters in the Character sheet.
Now we wait for some other people who expressed interest to submit there's CSs.

While we wait, if you guys have any ideas for arcs, character growth, or locations you'd like to suggest please feel free to PM them to me.

"There's a blood moon tonight." An old man, dressed in red stared up at the crimson orb burning in the starry sky.

"That a good omen, or not?" Next to the old man stood a hunched back private at the wheel. "What with our merry work, and all, I can't tell." One of his eyes was three times the size of average and the other one narrowed at the darkened ship they headed towards.

The old man shrugged. "Hard to say. Tempting to say its a good sign, means there'll be a good show tonight, but." He shrugged. "No point in reading the stars anyways. None of that stuff ever works out with a read anyways." He crossed his arms.

"Go ahead and give the signal." He said to another marine waiting at the back of the cabin. "Don't want those damn pirates getting jumpy and firing on us, again."

The youth nodded and hurried away to flash the signals.

"Hopefully we'll get a pretty penny for this lot." The hunch back said as he directed the ship.

"Maybe. Some of them look pretty strong. Others." Another shrug.

"Well I'm sure the show will be good, if nothing else."

The marine captain nodded. "Should be."

Meishu Kenja frowned as she took her seat. Around her, the pitter-patter of pirate banter thickened the air like bad breath in a sauna. The crowd was huge. She'd figured maybe there'd be a dozen or so lowlifes in attendance, but even with the shadows, it was easy to tell there were more than fifty crowded into the make-shift arena.

Down the rows was a large ring, with a sea prism cage around it. In there, in a few minutes, if scum followed their schedule, there'd be a few prisoners thrown inside. They'd fight to the death, and the winner would get to go on another round. Then another. Till the one person left standing got a chance to join the lighthouse pirates or made to kneel before the axeman.

She can cause her fists to catch on fire or cause the blade of her sword to catch on fire.

As for her role, security sounds better.

This is a character I made for another RP that I don't remember going anywhere.

Appearance:

Name: Kukui Blackthorn
Alias: None yet
Age: 14
Ship Role: Amateur Shipwright
Personality
- Kukui is a good-willed teen, polite and respectful to most people but at the same time not afraid to express his opinions whenever he feels the need.
Background:
- Kukui was born on the island of Takala, a jungle-like uninhabited island, where he lived alone with his parents. Said parents had (accidentally) fed him the Ki ki no mi fruit as a child and hid him on the island, knowing that there were people who would kill him without hesitation for the fruits powers.
- Sadly after 10 years of successful hiding, a group of unknown men invaded the island land, destroyed his home and killed his parents. Luckily, Kukui had used the power of the Ki ki no mi fruit and merged with one of the trees of the forest and waited 7 days fused to it until the unknown group left.
- Alone and enraged at his parents passing, Kukui dedicated the next 4 years of his life to training on the island while building a boat. The only clue he has to his parents' assailant is the memory of the man who led the strangers to his parents, a man with a horizontal scar on his forehead.

Skills/ Abilities
- Ki ki no mi Fruit: After eating the Ki ki no mi fruit Kukui gained the ability to turn into wood, merge, and shape wood.
- Stealth: Kukui’s devil fruit powers allow him to transform into trees as well as merge his body with anything made of wood, like the wheel of a ship or the side of a house. He can even merge and hide into things smaller than himself, like a tree branch, although the smaller it is the more difficult it is to fit. These abilities let him hide in plain sight easily.
- Logia Type: As a Logia type regular attacks have difficulty hurting him, however unlike other logia types, wood isn't as fluid and can't phase attacks as easily.
- Amateur Shipwright: Kukui understands the basics to ship building, and in conjunction with his devil fruit powers can build ships from his own body, albeit it takes a while depending on how big the ship is.

Weapons/ Items:
- Carving knife, Hammer, and Nails: Kukui uses these three tools along with his Ki ki no mi abilities to create small sailing vessels.

Personality:Meishu is a firm believer in determinism. She has a strong sense of duty and seeks to right the wrongs in her past. On surface level she’s a logical and pragmatic, doing her best to keep emotions in check so she can do what needs to be done.
However, when obligations aren’t pressing she enjoys expanding her horizons, and challenging herself. She’s also a lowkey alcoholic.
BackgroundMeishu was put in charge of a hidden society. She spent most of her life on the island until she became disillusioned with her people and left. After years of soul searching she returned to find the inhabitants slaughtered.

Enhanced physiology-Meishu is far stronger, faster and durable than she appears. (The reason for this will be explained in story)

Cera Nemy

Name: Cera Nemy

Alias: None yet

Age: 19

Ship Role: Doctor

Personality: Despite the venomous nature of the creature her species stems from, Nemy is about as sweet as a person can be. She's the kind of person that's willing to forgive someone for quite a lot, so long as it didn't lead to the death of anyone she knows. Despite this though, she is capable of losing her patience and snapping at people, possessing a quiet anger that is somehow worse than if she was yelling at you. She's the kind of person to obsessively worry about something even if its under control, which, given her position as a Doctor, means that you can rest assured you won't die of negligence.

Background: Seeing a female fish-man is...weird.

Seeing a female fish-man countless leagues away from her homeland is even weirder.

And interacting with the fish-lady doctor reveals...she's just plain weird all around.

Having been born and raised on a ship and never seeing the underwater splendor of Fish-Man Island, Cera's first years of life were spent cleaning up after a slovenly crew of human pirates that kept her as a slave. She'd never known her mother or father, and was frequently called a freak for her appearance from people that were the closest thing she had to a family. That is, save for one man that never derided her for what she was. It wasn't uncommon for pirates to force a doctor to work for them under threat of force, and that was the case for Dr. Wilhelm Nemy, a skilled surgeon that was in a similar position to the fish-man child.

Their relationship was close enough to familial for her to understand what "family" felt like. She'd help him with his operations when she could, picking up what knowledge she could over the years to better help her foster father. So close even that, when a violent fight with another pirate crew broke out, Dr. Nemy would take Cera and flee in the confusion, forced to swim with her for miles to try and make it ashore in the choppy waters.

By some miracle they made it, but that miracle was quickly refunded as the Dr. caught a deathly cold from exerting himself in freezing waters. Nemy did everything she could to nurse him back to health, but ultimately had to watch the one person that showed her kindness pass away. Ever since, Nemy has sought to not only become stronger, but to also become the kind of doctor that can save anyone, no matter what.

Picking up pieces of Fish-Man Karate here and there, the girl has developed them into her own fighting style that focuses on non-lethal take downs and restricted movements. Now, she seeks a way to venture out into the New World, hearing of the mighty Fish-man Karate practitioners she could learn from along the way.

Skills/ Abilities:

Fish-man Physiology: Fish-men are ten times stronger than an ordinary human, and this gives Cera a surprising amount of physical strength to work with that only grows when she is submerged in water. She can also breathe perfectly fine underwater, and swim at great speeds.

New Fish-man Kyusho Jitsu: A martial art that blends the pacifistic nature of Cera with the power and speed of Fish-man Karate. Rather than going for raw destructive force, Fish-man Kyusho Jitsu focuses on striking pinpoint centers of the body in order to incapacitate someone without hurting them too badly. If done properly, this can knock someone out with a single painless strike to the back of their neck, but such a feat is just about impossible to pull off in an actual fight.

Blue Dragon Stinger: Being derived from the Blue Dragon Slug, Cera's species of fish-men are capable of delivering potent toxins through their fingertips. She hates using this however, and is very unlikely to use it as anything but a last resort given the suffering it causes. When she grows nervous, the toxin will leak out on its own, meaning that she needs to wear gloves from harming others. The toxin is non-lethal, but causes excruciating pain on contact with skin.

Medical Knowledge: Cera is an effective doctor, and can patch up most non-fatal injuries fairly quickly if left uninterrupted.

Weapons/Items:

Doctor's Arsenal: A doctor's bag filled with bandages, anti-biotics, instruments, and just about anything you'd need to keep a patient from going into critical condition.

Accident-Proof Gloves: A pair of thick rubber gloves that can completely shield Cera's hands from damaging others with her toxins. These are usually only brought out for operations.

Personality: "Talk is cheap, actions speak" is a maxim Jaden lives by: He says little, preferring to speak through his skills. Experience has made him slow to trust; judging people by their actions instead of words. He can seem cold and aloof on first impression. But, again talk is cheap.

Jaden prefers to avoid fights if he can. But, he has little patience for willful ignorance, and even less for those who abuse their power.

While carrying himself with a Zen-like cool, he does have a sarcastic sense of humor, and is something of a satirist. If an opponent manages to get a word out of him, it's usually some form of sass before he pushes the attack. However, he can be awkward when it comes to intimate matters. A life of controlling your emotions can make you bad at expressing them.

Being a driven young man; Jaden is constantly concerned with pushing his limits; academically, mentally, physically, and so on. He believes the path to power is through enlightenment, and the path to enlightenment is through discipline, study and practice. Always looking to learn, Jaden actually yearns for a teacher.

Background: Orphaned as an infant, Jaden's life was the orphanage. While the adults said they cared for the children like family; they were abused and made to work from sunrise to sunset. While the other other orphans said they were family; they always fought and the older ones bullied and extorted the younger ones. In a pirate town rife with crime, violence and despair, Jaden saw little hope in his future.

Until he met an elderly librarian. The elderly lady often invited Jaden for tea where she taught him to read. From there, he studied the various books she kept. He studied history, math, sciences, philosophy and mythology. He also learned martial arts and tactics.

One such book only had six techniques. But those techniques proved powerful, albeit dangerous if used recklessly. And so, Jaden learned how to anticipate danger, allowing him to avoid pointless fights. Eventually, he needn't fear anyone at the orphanage, or the city for that matter.

Feeling confident in his ability, Jaden began traveling. He worked odd jobs to get around; assisting a cook here, playing backup guitar there. When he worked on ships, his talent for reading situations made navigating and evading trouble easy. But not always.

One day, Jaden got into a fight with some pirates. A high-ranking marine recognized the techniques he used as "Rokushiki", a supposedly secret style only taught to the marines' elite. Jaden was given a choice; join the marines, or be executed for treason. Jaden's refusal led to him making short work of the grunts. But, their officer was also a Rokushiki practitioner. One far more advanced and experienced than Jaden

"Conceited brat! All you know are the bare basics! This is what real mastery looks like!" Dodging a lunge left Jaden open to a storm of Rankyaku. Unable to activate the Tekkai technique, Jaden was nearly ripped apart by a storm of Rankyaku. He washed up on an island where a fishing village took him in and nursed him back to health. It was here Jaden realized just how vast the world truly was.

If he hoped to survive, he needed true mastery. But how? A fisherman suggested Jaden head east; there he might find a Haki monastery and train there...

Skills:

• Proficient with wayfaring, basic ship repair, and first-aid
• Proficient at survival, cooking, forging, and sewing (mostly for repairing damaged clothing)
• Self-taught scholar and researcher

Abilities

• Matrix Flow Martial Arts: By studying the underlying principles of various martial arts, Jaden had developed his own fighting style. It can be said fighting Jaden is like trying to fight the air itself:
  - Elusive and suffocating like smoke.
  - Reflective, rebuffing, consuming and consuming like a tornado
  - Swift and forceful as a gale.
• Basic Rokushiki techniques: Soru, Geppou, Tekkai, Kami-E, Shigan, and Rankyaku
• Hyper Observant: Very good at reading people through body language and strong situational awareness, allowing Jaden to predict how a situation might unfold.

Weapons/ Items:

• Camping pack including various supplies such as a compass, looking glass, tent, water skin, mess kit, latrine, tinder.
• Smithing tools, including a whetstone.
• Guitar
• A sabre, lent to Jaden by a fisherman

~Personality: Mei Xiao is a very reserved person when first meeting someone and might not even tell someone her real name, in fear of being sent back to the village she ran away from. When she gets close to someone, Mei is a very open, bubbly and cheerful person. She is also trustworthy and a little too honest.

~Background: Mei was born in a village called "Wuyuan" With her mother and younger sister, Ju Xiao and Ai Xiao. Her father died in a war a few months before she was born, leaving her mother to raise the two sisters alone.They lived a fairly normal life until soldiers were sent to capture the oldest women in the family and force them into marriage. Mei, being the oldest sister, was captured and taken away from her family. She escaped her capturers and now lives on the run

~Skills/abilities: Mei has the ability to control fire, an ability that she cannot yet control. She is also good with weapons such as swords, kunai's and any other bladed weapon. The reason she wishes to be a swordsman on the ship is because of her love of weaponry and fighting.
Fire ability: Mei ate a mera mera no mi devil fruit that she found while traveling. The fruit gave her the ability to control, summon and even transform into fire. She can cause her fists and the blade of her sword to be engulfed in flames. The strength of her ability depends on her emotions and how strong those emotions are. If she tried to summon fire when she's calm, its not that strong. When she summons fire when she's mad, her ability is very strong.

~Inventory: Mei carries around a two swords, both of which were gifts from her father. She also has a flute, which doesn't serve any purpose other than a instrument that she uses to pass the time.

1. I reserve the right to edit/ update the rules as I see fit
2. This is a casual level role play. So spelling mistakes and grammatical errors are understandable, but shouldn't become a common thing. If we have to reread a paragraph more than twice to understand what's going on more than every once in a while, there's a problem.
3. Posts should be between two to five paragraphs, and each paragraph should have over five sentences. I'm putting a limit on post length, because in the past it's caused more harm than good as people to give up on the sheer mass of reading in a post or two, or never respond because they feel their posts aren't good enough.
4. Do not spam posts.
5. Basic rp rules apply. No god moding, auto hitting, etc, etc.
6. Communicate. If you're having problems let me know and I'll try to fix them. If you can't reply for a while or want to bow out talk to me.
7. Post weekly. Unless otherwise, specified failure to do so will result in your character being left behind.
8. Please don't arbitrarily take your character out for awhile. I get sometimes there's nothing that can be done in a turn, and other times you'll want your character to be put on the sidelines, but don't go and decide oh I'm going to knock my character out for the rest of this arc on a whim. When people do that it forces me to either write a story on my own(so why rp with others at all), or just jump to a time skip.
9. No smut. As far as the touchy-feely stuff goes, this is a pg-13 rp.
10. Initially this will be a small group(3-4 players including myself), and will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Starting in order of displayed interest. After the initial quota is met I'll put potential players on a backlog.
