Uh. I couldn't really tell if you guys were interested, or just enjoying joking around. So I guess carry on?

@Sir Cheems
Cool. Welcome aboard.
Any thoughts or concerns? Maybe aspects that need to be more fleshed out? Questions?

So here's the start of an idea. Would love to hear thoughts on this.

Hell. A small town wakes up feeling amazing and finds itself in a giant sphere of white. Curious, some people try going outside and never come back. Little by little they'll learn there's hell and devils outside. So of course they decide to stay inside for as long as they can. This isn't long because as the years go by the dome becomes more see-through and demons start entering.

So the story will be similar to Dante's inferno in that they're traveling through hell and trying to find their way out or into heaven.

There are three separate power systems I've been thinking of for this one.

Edens-the dome the cast wakes up in. These domes increase a person's stats and rapidly heal disease, sickness, and stamina. They keep out demonic entities. The problem is they don't last long in hell, and as time goes on they lose power, become dimmer which decreases their effect and allows for larger and larger demons to enter.

Grace-Infusions of personal energy. These abilities would be color-based, similar to haki from One Piece. The characters will be able to infuse their Grace around themselves or into objects. The effect will be different based on the color. For example blue would be cold and red would create extreme heat. The colors will be combined for new effects.

Need to figure out what the core color abilities will be (Yellow, Red, Blue, Black and white) and the results that come from mixing the different Graces

The final system is a cross between devil fruits and zanpakuto, spirit seeds. Where a person is able to devour a gem that will bond a spiritual parasite to their soul. The entity will start off granting a simple ability like devil fruits but as the user grows they'll unlock forms and abilities like zanpakutos.
There'll be four kinds of spiritual seeds:
Demon-transforms the user's body
Angel-Grants the user a guardian that they can summon
REaper-The spiritual entity takes the form of a weapon or item
King-Creates a special field or area of effect

Also, I'm thinking certain spirit forms will be incompatible with certain colors like demons won't be able to use the white color of light and holiness.
Meishu might've miscalculated. She figured the marine ship would be too busy thinking about how to spin things to prove it wasn't involved with the pirates at the lighthosue. When she first saw the ship, that's what she was certain of. When she heard the first burst of cannon fire she became nervous. As she saw the first hunk of iron explode near her ship, and then on her ship, she became convinced she had been wrong and redoubled her efforts.

Damn it! Why didn't she teach Fenrir to move the bought when he wanted to learn? Well because he was young and only wanted to get near the steering wheel to chew on it. Still though. He could've learned to steer the chewed up remains!

Fenrir growled. He wasn't growling at anyone in particular. There was nobody in particular around him. He was just agitated with the way things had turned out. One moment he was asleep, and glad of it. Then he was awake and there was a mess.

Not again. Next time there was a stowaway he wouldn't waste time stalking. It was just munch, munch, and poop the remains over the side of the ship.

He turned his attention to the wood wrapped around him. He winced. There was a loud pop, followed by a rapid series of clicks and clacks. Fenrir's head moved away from his body, towards the veins closest. He opened his mouth to begin chewing.

Gerld breathed in deeply. He had been a good swimmer in his youth. Back in the day he would've been able to cover the distance between the lighthouse and the purple-haired woman's ship without any issue. Now though, with his age, among other factors, the trip wasn't a certain thing at all. He swallowed hard, coming back for air, too early. Instead of rich oxygen, he found himself sucking down seawater.

"Cough. Cough."

Meishu paused, a few yards from the boat, and turned her back to check in on her ward. The man was starting to flounder. "Mmm. Damn."

Frowning she swam back, grabbed the man and pulled him back to the ship, where she topped to look for the ladder, which was on the other side.

"Well shit."

Before she could start moving there was a whistle through the air, and an explosion. A large chunk appeared at the side of the ship from a cannonball making direct contact.

"Well, that'll work." She tensed her arm, clasped Gerld's arm as hard as she could. "Apologies for the rough landing." With a grunt she flung the large man upwards towards, and through the hole where he landed with a limp thud.

A few seconds later, Meishu at the hole and stepped inside.

"You okay?" Meishu gave a nod to Gerld, who had propped himself up on his elbow and was coughing up seawater. He gave a nod, but couldn't manage more than that. "Alright." She wanted to find Fenrir and make sure he was okay, but the need to get the ship out of the cannon's range was of more immediate importance.

"I'll be back. Stay here and rest."

@The Irish Tree
Upon entering the cabin Meishu found a lone Fishwoman, covered in blood, out like a light. She recognized her from the tournament and recalled how the character hadn't wanted to cause harm and had survived the ordeal without much blood on her hands.

The captain's first reaction was to let the woman know if anything had happened to Fenrir, not amount of fishman strength or karate would be enough to keep her from being ripped limb from limb by the small woman's hands. Then, the second thought, the one which involved the point they were being fired upon, and the shots were getting more and more accurate, an easy fact to discern thanks to the ship's shaking and sounds of splashing and roaring from outside. Which was the thought she chose to deal with.

"Move," the tiny woman sighed, sliding the downed fishwoman aside with her foot. "I'll get us out of here than see to it you don't bleed out all over my floor."

Hands on the wheel, Meishu moved some controls and spun the wheel around to angel her tiny craft out to see.

The small ship hummed as the engine came to life.

So how did dude get so into stars? Books, videos, occasional trips to the surface? How much time did he spend under water, and at what pressures? Was he born on the sub? Stuff like that could influence the growth of the characters abilities as well. Growing up in high pressure environments would definitely change the way you develop.

..Also, why aliens?

[/quote]

Aliens came from a combination of books, and the strange creatures he did see, with his own eyes, while watching through the windows while the submarine moved under the sea. Plus, as a child, he was well aware of life existing at different levels since he's seen them underwater, and fully aware there's plenty more on the surface, land, and sea. So he's certain that when you go up you'll eventually find more forms of life.

Not sure the exact pressure though. I'll have to give that more thought.

@ZxyxZemon

@malmshodes Any ideas from you?

At the moment I have an idea for a kid, who grew up on a submarine and became obsessed with the stars. HIs hunter connection would be his father, who hunted sea monsters. His goal will be to find proof of aliens. So he'll be an alien hunter.

^^;

I'd be up for a hunter hunter rp!
Though, I've only gotten up to the end of Greed Island. ^^;

As for the plots I'd prefer the young prodigies, because this way people won't get stuck on figuring out their characters abilities(Nen is awesome but I've seen groups stall and get stuck on specifics)
@DoomFlavored
This might be a dumb question, but is there a character sheet I'm missing? I gone back and forth over the the thread and don't see it. ^^;
The further they swam the colder it felt, at least to Gerld, who despite the exercise was starting to feel numb. He was in far better shape than most people thirty years younger, but he was also sick, and old, and the years were piling on. Honestly, if not for the stranger ahead of him, he could very well have died back there.

"Hey!" He called towards the strange woman, stopping to tread water.

"Hmm?" The woman paused to look back at him. There was an annoyed look on his face. He didn't blame her. They were running away from dangerous people, out into the middle of the ocean.

"There's that marine ship." He pointed over to the boat, the one that brought us here. "Why is it waiting around? Shouldn't they have left once they dropped us off?"

The woman looked over at the marine ship, looming in the distance like a big cat who couldn't decide if it wanted to pounce or take a nap. "I'm not sure." She sighed. "It won't do any good to stay and guess."

"Do you think we should do something about them? They could be a problem."

Meishu eyed the ship for a moment before looking up. The sky was cloudy, but the full moon could be made out behind it. They were moving fast. She didn't want to be away from the boat with a moon that fat. "No. We don't have time. Come on." She didn't wait for a response before she starts swimming.

Gerld thought about saying something. He didn't like being dismissed so quickly, a habit held over from his years in the marines. He decided to hold his tongue, at least till they got somewhere safe.

"Damn it." The lighthouse pirate growled, as he watched the logia user fly away. "What the hell kind of fruit even is that!" The group around him didn't respond. They watched their captain like children who knew the wrong answer was going to get their father to bring out the belt, the old one that he had glued spikes to.
"Well we won't be able to get him from this damn dingy." He kicked the ship's railing and thumbed back towards the lighouse. "Let's go back and get it started. I'm not going to give up on account of fear over blowing through all our coal reserves."

The fish smelling person ran. Fenrir ran too. She couldn't get away. She wasn't wanted. The captain would've told Fenrir if she was wanted. Fenrir was good at listening to orders. Growling, Fenrir slithered up to the stranger.

Off in the distance, he could hear something cutting through the air. It was a bird, a big bird. It would make for good eating, but this wasn't the time. Fenrir wouldn't be distracted from protecting the boat. Drool running down his maw. His mouth opened and he lunged towards the fish person.

@Crimson Lion
Things went according to plan until they didn't. Fenrir started moving, on his way to the strange fist. Then he stopped moving. Things like hard snakes came out of nowhere. He heard the birds land beside him. He sniffed and realized it wasn't a bird. It was a person. Damn his ears. They were only so good with odd things, but they were nothing like his nose. If only the person had been closer he woudld've known.

With a burst of strength, the candid tried turning to the new arrival and strained to move. It wasn't easy. He managed a few inches before he limbs gave out and he felt himself tied tight.

RAge flooded through Fenrir and he threw his head back and howled towards the sky.

Shit. Meishu thought as the howl echoed out. He flew over her like a warning. "Damn it." She said before picking up speed. She cut through the water fast enough to cause spray to shoot up around her.

Gerld heard the sound. He noted the change in the woman's calm. He didn't say anything. It would've been a waste. By the time he realized she out of range.

Igor wasn't a fool. He'd been around the world and seen/ heard his fair share of monsters. They came in all shapes and sizes. MOst could be killed with a cannon or a seastone. So he didn't waste time or energy memorizing how different creatures worked. There were however things he did make a point to remember, or that he couldn't forget.

He heard the howl and it scared him.

"Uh captain?" Igor's face was white. He turned up to see the captain with a similar look. "That's coming from the ship."

"Yeah." The captain nodded."Fire the cannons."

Igor nodded. He gave the order.

The first cannon fired in a matter of seconds. The rest of the barrage followed.
Am I entered in the group?@Champion

Still have room for 1 more if anyone wants to join.

Hi. I sent a pm. Did that count as joining?
I mean, did I go about joining correctly?
I don't know if this would be allowed, but I like the idea of a corpse-based magic like my character will enchant various body parts, maybe with some tragic background, into an animate meat golem. She'll upgrade him as the series goes on, maybe by adding new interchangeable features. Maybe different materials grant different effectS? Still a work in progress ^^
