Xi is a Stag Azaali, this automatically notes much of who he is as a person. He is a protector, a guardian, and a companion. He will stop at nothing to ensure those closest to him are safe. However he still has all emotions, he feels sad, he feels anger, and he feels all the rest. He is often overly protective, being noted as one of the most prominent Stag Caste Azaali there are in their species. But one should also note that his mask seems to have "feathers" hanging from his antlers, these are very similar to Owl feathers, which notes that he is of great intelligence, not so much compared to actual Owl Masks. This added intelligence is a good thing, and a bad thing. He is a Stag who holds more intellect than usual, but that means he oftens get tunnel vision for those things which he loves to research, and to study. This is due to the Stag's nature of being head-strong and never backing down.

Biography

Xi was born on Shae, the homeworld of the Azaali, and he was registered immediately under the Birthing Ceremony by the Prime Elders. He was ushered into the Spacial home in the oldest and most powerful of traditions in his kind. It took only a few days for his mask to form and grant his peers the pleasure of looking upon the stubbed antlers of it. It was then that his Sahu([Saw-Who]Father) and Vela([Vae-la]Mother) became over-joyed. His Sahu was a stag as a well, while his mother was a Hare.

They loved their son, and they took great care of him for the longest time. Once he was ready, he took off from the home-world in search of all things. It was his time, and his right, to explore the Spacial home as all others did. Xi had set out for the easy path early on, taking a common pilegrimage route through Azaali space to start off his journey. However he quickly grew hyper and energetic for the desire to see the unseen. This drove him to pursue the intellectual studies that would get him jobs on the unexplored worlds and new locales.

He invested himself into the study of new things, but he favored biology, he was always fascinated by animals and was always a natural with them, but his study and his desire discover pushed him ever further. It wasn't until his forty-fifth year that he achieved his secondary milestone. Upon that year of his life, he had achieved not only Azaali, but also human level intellectual prowess of nearly all biological understanding. He had obtained Azaali level Doctoral Degrees in medicine and Biology, as well as Human Doctoral Degrees in both categories as well, and while the Qari were much more strict, he had still spent quite a lot of time with them in outposts and and multi-cultural planets, achieveing and unoffical Masters Degree in all of their biological studies.

Xi had been over a fair amount of ground by this time, when it comes to the galactic expanse. He had visited almost all of the Norma arm that he could possibly explore alone, and he had spent a fair bit of time in the Human and Qari realms, but he had felt that it didn't hold a candle to exploring the unknown. This meant that with his new degrees and his time in that he had spent in those realms, he would finally pursue a life out in the unknown.

It was so, and for countless years on end Xi-Esperia of Shae had taken up job after job and grant after grant to to new worlds and work as a cataloguer, researcher, and leading mind on biological behavior and presence. He ended up taking a personal occupation in his travels, studying the biology and ecology of living undocumented species began to form a subconscious in Xi's mind, and eventually took full root as a tree of desire. Xi began to attempt training and taming undocumented species and alien animals. He sought to tame them and understand them on an even closer level. Obviously not all attempts were successful, but there were cases that were and those new friends, these tamed beasts, became an essential part of the man that is Xi today.

Xi originally went to Faren V to relax after a long expedition to an unknown planet, as well as he had hoped to register a cargo ship to send out his three recently tamed beasts back to his terraium hub on Naustila II. A relatively peaceful planet where Xi was given grant money to build a facility for the few creatures he would tame and study closer. However he had lost his three tames when the expedition went south and undocumented Apex Predator tore through the expeditions sites. The hustle to leave ended in the result of Xi being forced to leave them behind. So upon Xi's arrival to Faren V, he had hoped to quickly throw himself into a mission, a way of escaping the tragedy that very few understand.

A small murmuring could be heard behind the door that held R'Ornn. The noise grew steadily louder and would likely draw in more curiosity, but it was unlikely any would care to stay near R'Ornn's cabin and listen. However, not many would have the chance to escape the noise as it escalated and the tiny Savolin burst from his cabin.

"WHAT ARE WE, KIDS!?" The tiny Savolin immediately flung out his hands as he levitated down the hall with all their cabins and tore all the notes off the many door ways. He then scrambled them in his hands and replaced them on the doors. "FIERS! You filthy dog! I will leash you to the crow's nest and let you drag behind this here boat! STAY OUT OF PEOPLE'S THINGS! Some of us are trying to work."

R'Ornn's face held an expression of only moderate irritation, despite his surprising deep and thundering voice. However the Savolin grew extremely quiet as he found Alya's door and slumped down on the ground, almost instantly falling asleep. He had spent the remainder of his energy on his outburst, after five straight days of research and note taking in his cabin with no sleep.

Savolin, 30

Savolin are associated with Gnomes, despite their being more akin to elves. The Savolin bloodline was started when the Elven race started out-casting those of a shorter stature. Eventually the shortness became a bred-in trait, similar to breeding small dogs. However so was the magical potency of the shorter elves. Now, the Savolin preside over that bloodline. The Savolin stand on average no taller than three and a half feet tall, and are among the magically powerful Race.

The Savolin are a rather, proud race, but not in the way Elves are honestly. They are tough, resilient, and don't allow others to talk ill of them easily. They were created fro an out-cast people, people who were deemed unworthy of the name Elf, so the Savolin are proud to be who they are, to prove that they are better than the name Elf, and they do so by not being out-right racist to the Elves. The Savolin herald compassion and peace, when possible, but will never lay down and let another walk all over them.

Personality

R'Ornn is a bit peculiar, being that of an obsessive Crystal Mage, as well as an exuberantly outward personality towards anyone and everyone. He is often extremely cheerful and happy, one of the hardest personalities to bring down or make sad. He is generally only ever happy, or angry, and to make him angry extreme work.

Backstory

R'Ornn joined the Company at a younger age, roughly twenty years ago. He was aloof from his home, seeking grandeur and adventure. He had heard of the company and was ready to throw his skills into the hat and see what he could. However as the course of nature took it's power into play, R'Ornn was seeded with the gift of magic, in the form of Crystal Magic. This also made him curious, and powerful, and it began to drive him forward in his adventures. He sought out other crystal mages, rare crystalline artifacts, natural magical crystals.

He. Needed. Crystals.

He spent his years, up to this point, serving the Company as a powerful mage for some of the more dangerous missions, in the hope that he might find more and more artifacts and natural formations to study and understand. For what he seeks, is to truly understand all of his powers, and why his bloodline choose Crystal Magic.. a one-in-a-hundred magical affinity.

Physical Talents

R'Ornn only has two real physical talents: Acrobatics, and Charm. He is an agile race, and one of the more agile of the race over all. He also exhibits an extremely charming nature, his words(when not obsessed over crystals) can actually be highly influential and charming.

Magical Talents

This can serve as your spell-list. We would be mid-range adventurers so keep available skills as follows.
- Crystal Spike(Lesser): R'Ornn summons a large singular crystal, or a series of smaller ones to attack the enemy from a surface.
- Hovering/Flying(Lesser): R'Ornn can hover most of the time without strain, but he can expand extra energy to fly about as he needs, but long distances are extremely troubling.
- Crystal Punch(Lesser): R'Ornn manifests his crystals around his fists to augment his hand-to-hand fighting capability in a pinch.
- Crystal Mirror(Lesser): R'Ornn coats a surface or creates a platform of mirror-like crystal that causes the enemy(and unprepared allies) to lose traction and footholds.
- Crystal Barrage(Moderate): R'Ornn summons a storm of large and medium sized Crystals to hail and barrage the enemy.
- Thunderlord's Jewel(Moderate): R'Ornn summons a special crystal of large size, this Crystal acts as a conduit for lightning and lightning magic and redirects it to the enemies of R'Orrn's choosing.(The Gem also manifests lightning if no natural sources are currently present.)

Equipment

R'Ornn has only the most basic of Mage equipment, outside of his clothing and armored bits. He has a backpack which holds his Books, Quills, Ink pots, Scrolls, and research equipment.

Fears

R'Ornn fears a few fair things. Spiders, Feral Orcs, Lichs, and the fear that he will never understand everything there is to know about crytals.
