Here on the estate Erica was freed. Given a small pouch of gold and a horse. It was so long ago since she was bought and brought to the estate. She stood there to wonder at the next person they would bring to help conduct the mad experiments. Erica was a slave who had witnessed all of there experiments. She was never taught to read or write. She didn't care about her owners. She just did as was told and grateful the experiments were never tested on her. Erica shook her head and mounted the horse. As she rode away to her fate she was glad to be free. The family secrete faded from her memory as the elixir she drank did its job to replace her past with a happy one. The family that sought perfection.

However each family member had there own idea of what that perfection was. One member thought it was wings, the next reptiles, it was a collage of different experiments on different species. So the actual progression of the path to perfection was a step forward but never in the same direction. The one flaw this created was during the transformation the family member could never step outside for fear of mas ignorance. One family member tried this early in the family history only to be stoned to death by a superstitious mob. There was only one solution, slaves. Serfs could leave and were therefore undesirable not to mention costly. Magic was good but not very intuitive. The spell would do one thing very well but to create the perfect spell to sweep only when needed was difficult and no matter the wording there arose a situation that the spell either ignored or created bigger problem by trying to solve the original one. There fore slaves were a necessity of the family. They had no interest in harming them or subjugating them to a weird fetish. They just needed to obey and clean. After forty or fifty years they would be freed with a small pouch of gold.

Name: Marcus Dimitrer

Age:?

Personality: Marcus dislikes people. He had a natural affinity to read. Even at the early age is seemed his fate to be consumed by the books in his fathers library. It was the families greatest asset. Passed down and added to by previous generations. The number of books would have even the advanced reader spending their entire life and only getting a third of the way through. While others were learning the family trade Marcus would read. He would read instead of romance, in place of greed, it was all he did. From the time he woke, while he ate, or did his chores. The family unlike most allowed this obsession to grow and consume him. This family was special. Here there were books on only one subject. Transformations. The family obsessions and it fell to the next in line to continue the work. Each generation was one step on the path to perfection.

The shaman hut smelled of rotting compost mixed with meat. From the shadows the shaman stepped forward. "The ssspiritsss told me to exssspect you. Sssstealth is oursss. You fool." The vines sealed the door. There was only one way you would escape this night alive. A green glow grew in the shamans left hand. His claws grew to the size of daggers. The glow spread up his arm like a fire quickly consuming his entire body. (mage armor.)

The outlying groups of lizard men were warriors armed with a poisonous bite. They wore no armor instead relying on their crocodile hide. The four foot tail behind them could be used as a club. A lucky hit would surely break a leg or knee. They carried spears and had the trait of talons that could rend leather to ribbons. The one advantage you were told was they had terrible vision. Any further then ten feet they were effectively blind. The bad note was they used the water to there advantage as it sent signals to their hearing of any splashing. The water around the huts and surrounding area was knee deep. (2ft) With a few inches of mud on the bottom.

there were 2 patrols of 6 each for a total of 12 liard men on the boarder. In the center of the village was a small fire. To help the cold blood warm around this fire were 5 warriors with three close range fighters. None of the huts had light. you gather There were two huts of different make. One had a large opening and the top of the opening had various skulls of humanoids. The other was more over grown with vines and out front two dead humans were impaled on spikes running up there torso's.

The rangers had no skill to jump as the goblin did. They were too heavy and bigger. On the ground they were stealthy in there own way. Insuring not to disturb the plant life or leave a trail in the thawing ground. The rangers blended into the forest shadows well. Their grey skin helped the natural shadows and the black runes that were painted on them seemed to shift even more moon light off them. They made noise as they moved but to the untrained it sounded like the passing of a strong breeze in the surrounding brush. Only a creature trained to notice the orc scent in the air had any hope of noticing this group as it made its way east.

By the end of the night the forest edge was behind you and the rolling hills leading to the mountain pass were ahead. The party couldn't go under because of the war between the dwarves and the dugar salve of the mind flayers. It had raged all winter and neither side was closer to victory. The only way was through the pass home of cave trolls. Or over the sheer cliffs covered in ice and snow.
I would be interested in this. =)
When you have a character please ~PM~ me with it and I'll set the OOC

The fresh air in your nose gave you a new type of sight you could see the paths of various creatures that had long since gone. It felt good to be able to run at full stride. The first night you found the death markers of the tribes boarders. You still had a few more nights of travel from the map. You realized that you covered a little over twice the distance they guessed you could travel. The day would come and you found shelter was scarce. Hiding in a large patch of prairie grass you slept. The air was cool but the sun warmed your fur like a fire. During the day you slept and ate some of the provisions. Some of the prairie grass was turning green. There was a small object on the horizon in the sky. You had never seen such a sight it was massive and silent. Not a bird, not any creature you had ever seen.
