"You heal me and that's make you real enough in my book but.." He stopped and shook his head. "I'll just leave that part of the conversation for smarter people then me." What was awful was being hunted down by your, um her Jason clones now at least I have a fair chance." He followed your gaze and as you asked he answered. "Wasn't me This thing doesn't do laser burns looks like a modified laser suture. I could do it but then why would I carry this non lethal system."

Chris pulled the stun rifle closer to him. He watched with a fearful look on his face as you cut yourself. Then a look of disbelief as the wound scabbed over. "Yea, well am I gonna live doc?"
The spider woman looked onward and returned her gaze to you. "They are as good as dead my leader." The howl broke the camouflage and indeed they were cleaver there now was a clear view of thirty greed backs that froze to the sound of your howl. The ones that were less affected turned to brown fading faster. Deillia retorted, "I can see the heat they are colder then the area. I count at least forty total, ten of which are killing your men we are out numbered my leader."

As you charged at the forces the goblins foolishly followed into the fray. They were fodder. Only Deillia's webs that she sprayed on the area between the trees made the lizard men easy targets for your blades. The webbing slowed the advancing group. The more they fought the web the more they became bound. The goblins fought but they were quickly picked off the noises from the orc were now hisses and advancing toward you.
Holding Olivia and listening to her tale his face stayed dark. Shawn was grateful for her returning unharmed and that she took out three assailants by herself was impressive. Now was just not the time to be impressed. Shawn held her and rubbed her back. "Your home. I'm grateful that you're safe and I can hold you right now." He sat there with Olivia in his lap and held her close for as long as it took to get her to feel safe.

No matter how long it took Shawn sat there holding Olivia. He rubbed her back and held her gently. He wished the chair would rock but this rich types probably had someone to do that for them. He closed his eyes and softly hummed to her a country song (Keith Whitley - "When You Say Nothing At All"). He rested his cheek against her as he hummed. Eventually he quietly sang to her the same song. Still holding her in his arms.
The gate bell rang and the lawyer showed up. He was flanked by a detail football players in designer shades and fully automatic weapons. As he was allowed in the the house he stood there and gave you a business card. "Miss Eva Mistly?" he holds out his wrist waiting for the key. "May we adjourn to the dining room?"

The two of you walked to the the dinning room the security detail pulled out the chairs. The lawyer waited for you to sit and opened the briefcase removing the papers. "Here are the official papers and information to access the entire trust and all of your assets. I just need your signature on these documents and to give you these five bank cards. If there is anything at the moment or in the future I would hope you call on our firm." He waited for any reply.
Slight edit~

Three weeks had passed since Shawn and Olivia moved in together. Winter was in full swing now. The Walkers were frozen solid, the snow was piling up, the days grew colder, and the nights grew longer. Their life together was simple but pleasant. Days were spent working to build up a store of gear and food. Shawn had gathered more fuel from the other boats and a few gallons of oil for the motor. He linked together a few more marine batteries to make sure they would have a good power supply. Shawn kept gathering more stuff that others left behind in the city. A hunters scope but no rifle more ammo for his guns and now a back up piece. Earlier on they had visited some libraries in order to find maps of Canada and the US to help them on their journey. They also took a few books on survival tips and other subjects that would help them, as well as some novels to enjoy. When not working they would relax and enjoy each others company. They talked about their plans for the future, about their pasts, about the now. They'd sit and read together, had meals together, even played in the snow sometimes. Olivia recalled a snowball fight when she had managed to peg Shawn square in the face. He had chased after her, shouting that he would get his revenge, and when he caught her he shoved a handful of snow into her face. It was cold and fun, and afterwards they went home, curled up with a blanket, and had some hot tea. Olivia had fallen asleep with her head on Shawn's shoulder that night, worn out as she was by their winter fun. Shawn had become an irreplaceable part of Olivia's life. He could no longer imagine what it would be like without her around. Every day their trust grew deeper and his love for her grew stronger.

Shawn knew Olivia was tough but going out alone to gather supplies was a little daring. He wanted to argue and at least go with her but she survived this long and together might wind up being a distraction for both. as he watched her leave the boat he got into a hurry and fell down into the boat scraping his shin. cussing for a minute mixed with some deep breathing he put on his boots and got dressed just in case. Shawn grabbed his gun and sat out side to keep the reception strong. hooking the charger to the solar cell to the charger to keep it fully charged.

"Alright, love," she said cheerfully over the radio. "I'm about to go out of range. I love you and I'll check in when I get back in range. See you when I get home."

Shawn keyed up the mic. "Be alert. I love you." He started to rub his hands together and worry. He couldn't leave base and risk the work they did. Right now he would risk it all for her safety. He was glad the place was larger so he could pace.

Olivia radioed in to Shawn. "There were some complications. I'm coming home now," she muttered into the radio. "Going dark for the moment." Then she shut the handset off again.

"Wait . Hello, hello?" He stopped his heel in the floor. She was safe but something didn't sound right. He was with her long enough that it was not the happy Olivia he knew. He grabbed the scope and started to scan the coast looking for her. He grabbed his bag and a car first aid kit he found and ran back out to look for her and make sure she was coming home in one piece. He saw her walking up and she looked like a hurry. He didn't want to have her think he didn't trust her so he darted back inside and took off his jacket putting the guns in the bag and that in the closet. He sat down with the radio and waited.

As she walked down the stairs he noticed her face was different, pale. Shawn felt her tremble as she hugged him. He hugged her back holding her more for comfort then the usual affection. "It's ok. Your home." He had no idea what happened but his face grew dark and the thought that something tried to hurt her was clear. Shawn grew angry. He loosened his fists and patted her back "It's ok darling I got ya."
Johnathan Woke on the twin mattress needing little. He took to the basin washing his face and shaving. He dressed in his brown jeans and an extremely faded blue jean shirt with brown buttons. Stepping outside he took in the rustic look and breathed the fresh air. It was a small community and he loved everything about it but the fence. It was explained to him why it was needed but he couldn't see past the imprisoned feeling it gave him. Not too long before he had a run in with a ranger in one of the parks. The dart in him and the cage he woke to it was small and it taught him the fear of small enclosures. Thankfully he was released to a different section of woods but he left not wanting to repeat the incident.

Now there was more land then he could mark and the upright wolves would never try to capture him. He knew that tonight was the hunt and it was a town activity. They would need wood so he went back to the tree he had cut up and lashed it to the yoke so he could pull it into town. He took off his shirt to keep it from tearing and laid it on the log. Using his inner strength made him feel good. Johnathan would get a little more hair on his limbs and chest but it was all right. His bare feet pushed into the earth and he felt the weight move with each step as he pulled it to the town. Once there it would rest where they would have the fire to celebrate the hunt later tonight. Just four more of these logs and the fire would burn all night. Johnathan was grunting at the weight and after the last log for the fire he took to the rain barrel and splashed some water over him. Cupping his hands he also took a few sips of the cool water. He looked around to see who was up and about.

@Ayla
Johnathan saw Runa's wave and returned it with one of his own. His smile didn't get any bigger but for him it was a good sign. He rushed over still sweating from the logs but by now had lost the extra hair. "Morning, can I help out I'm?" He had seen Runa around. She was a nice girl and a member of the town so that made her a friend in his eyes.

"You're very welcome." He said as he gave a friendly smile. "Glad to help out. I just got the wood for tonight's hunt. Its a nice day out so I like to get stuff done that needs doing." He walked with her carrying what she gave him like they were eggs.

Standing with the warm smile he quietly watched Runa's interaction with the child. Feeling the need to let them be his set the spools of fabric down in a clean spot. Johnathan waved "If there is nothing else I'll leave you two be." He made sure to close the door politely as he left to the kitchen to see if anyone needed his help.
Chris hopped up on the table and laid down. "No they all suffer from some variation of schizophrenia. You were alone and in some ways you still are. I guess if you think of the real you being in the tube then you will always be alone until someone lets her out. Sorry I guess that's a depressing thought huh? I wouldnt know I had to remove my own chip to stay out of sight while Dorothy Tried to make Jason after the AI stopped him from leaving the mission."

As you started to get things going your head felt like a migraine as more thoughts of the past rushed to the front of your mind in a jumble of tests and experiments on the rats. terminals with jumbled screens but you remember what they were for without actually remembering what they were showing at the time. your medical teaching flooded into your mind in great detail. The genomes and DNA sequencing manipulating the embryos to tailor your needs. The compound that could unlock the vast human potential. You ensured your survival by using the last of it on your newest clone. Yourself. you remember being shot at by Jason from the ceiling ventilation only to watch the cells start to clot a wound that would normally require sutures. Your samples showed your white blood count to be double what it should have been. now you theorize the healing was not limited to the physical but also the neural pathways not degenerating like the Jason clones. As you thought more more knowledge came flooding forward to the science and equations that felt correct in your mind.

Chris slapped you. "Doc you alright? You zoned out I thought it might be a break." He raised an Eyebrow in concern. "Well anyway as I was saying we ere here for the initial test phase of the station and the AI we would set it all up and the others would come after the five year test was completed. The station was put in the hands of the AI in part and the comms were shut off to add stress. After Five years the comm would be turned on. Then the determination would be made to see if the section heads could be trusted or would the stress and isolation be too munch. Seems that Dorothy didn't do to well. Now we just got to survive the Jason's and hold out for four more years. We got here a year prior to operations so we actually have two years on station."
The kiss was unexpected but very welcome he couldn't resist kissing her back. As she broke it to lead him to bed he was reeling with her love. He broke the eye contact to look at her more as a woman. A very fine southern woman. He wanted to pick her up and kiss her more to hold her hostage in his arms and exact a ransom of kisses from Olivia. To gaze up at her over him like a vision of heavens grace. As she smiled down at him. His heart beat fast as Shawn's mind raced with possibilities. Closing his eyes within a forced blink he banished the thoughts and felt his hand being lead by Olivia.

Shawn followed like a puppy. If he had a tail it would be knocking stuff over as it waged behind him. Her thin night wear was making impossible to sleep for the first few hours all he could do was wrap his arm around Olivia and stare at the ceiling with a deep pink on his face. He took a deep breath as he laid there on his back whit Olivia against him. Both under the covers on a boat as the water rocked them Shawn kept his hand at her hip. He dared to imaging what might or might not be there under what he could see. With his free hand he pinched his leg hard digging his short nails into his skin. It would bruise but that was ok with him. The pain helped a lot. Eventually he got use to her being so close her sweet smell as he breathed in her hair. Shawn just laid there and softly touched her hand on his stomach. Interlocking the fingers of Shawn's hand with Olivia's the smile stayed on his face eventually he drifted off to sleep.
FUTURE JUMP

Eva's sessions with the the therapist over the months leading to her independence was begrudgingly helpful. In showing that things weren't her fault but to recognize certain traits of people who didn't have Eva's best interest at heart. It didn't help her reconcile with the past but did help prepare Eva for future dealings with people she might encounter. As the Doctor said Nothing that happened was her fault she just didn't have the tools to recognize the few good people from the sea of bad. The medication they kept her on but eventually stopped the injections and gave her pills. The prozack did help take the edge off and make the day a little better. Soon Eva discovered they were no longer needed that the change from a constant negative outlook was due to the sessions and Vivian's constant friendship.

Vivian became close to you and her hair was now past her shoulders and hid the few bald spots that were now only a painful memory. Her face was still not the natural look and only those who knew her before would notice the changes. She also had a birthday and was taking college classes online then moved out during the school season to a dorm and didn't care of the debt she was a solid 4.0 GPA. She wanted to be a lawyer. She would often seek Eva's help because she had gone through some of the same classes. When not taking time to do the online class she would be close by.

Amanda was Still with Nathan and was glad when she caught you and Vivian together she kept out of your business for the most part and lifted most of the restrictions on your movements. As time approached the day of your inheritance she faded more into the background spending more time with Nathan and as the warmer days came back she spent more time with the pool. She didn't open your mail but gave you the stuff that was yours and took care of the stuff that fell into the guardian roll. A month before the day she handed you a letter from the law firm. More letters and such came from cousins and aunts you never even heard from with no return addresses but enough postage to tell they were in Europe. Almost ever day there were more letters from family no less the a dozen or more each day. The gate and security measures installed kept them from the houses and a few time Amanda called the cops to remove those that tried to get to the door. Amanda mentioned that she would have to get back to her life and wished only the best for the future. Amanda told you that her and Nathan would be getting married. Vivian and yourself were welcome to attend.

The letter read that you would be visited at the estate by a representative of the law firm to transfer the inheritance, and to see if you required any further services from the firm. They sent a dossier of the person that would meet you and the key to open the briefcase he would be carrying. There would be a four man escort since it was the largest account of the firm.
