Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Well... how would you feel about me making Raymond an actual character instead of him just remaining an NPC?
i'm not going anywhere either. I've stuck here this long, and love it.

if you are worried about characters, i'm more than happy to make another one, to get numbers up a bit ^.^
I am catching up on things now. It hasn't been a good few weeks. And I'm still sick.
Karena and Selena

Location Gym

After sorting things out with Emilia, Karena sat in her office, and dropped her head into her hands. With the way things were… Karena knew that she had a decision to make. And as always, it seemed to revolve around Cleo. Her niece wasn’t one for peace… she was typically chaos, always getting into trouble, but she had a big heart. She’d want to help her classmates, her friends, but… Karena believed that Zoe wouldn’t want that, at least not yet, and Karena herself didn’t want it. Life had changed, and Cleo… deserved normalcy, and she didn’t believe that Klamath Falls would have that, in the next few months. The teenagers were attacked, and so many of them were changed… that Karena couldn’t believe anything god was going to happen.

It would be wise to get Cleo out of town… Emilia could go with her… With that in mind, Karena began to make preparations for that, her heart heavy. She couldn’t go with them, not when she was needed here, no matter how much she wanted to. Two plane tickets, and a place to stay… It took Karena some time to organise, but in the end, she was satisfied that both her girls would be safe, and that Emilia could handle anything that they might come across.

That sorted, she spoke with both girls a time, making sure they understood what she had done, and that they would be leaving soon. And then she just sat at her desk, dropping her head into her hands and sighing heavily, closing her eyes tight. Tired, and heartsick, Karena sat there for another few moments, before sitting back, and opening her eyes, beginning to plan everything she needed to do. … talk with Zoe… go to the site of the attack, after talking… check on the attacked teenagers…. The last bit was perhaps the most important to Karena.

She would not have out of control, vicious pups running around her town. She knew that Zoe was more than capable of handling the pups, but… She shifted, hand going for a hidden knife nearby as a young woman stepped in her doorway. The young woman was, in a word, sleek. Beautiful. And to Karena, a warrior. Wary, Karena watched her a moment. ”Who, and what are you?”.

The woman smiled, a smile that sent a shiver up Karena’s spine, it had an almost predator look to it. ”My name is Selena, and my father recommended I come to you, if I needed a little bit of extra help. Abraham. As for what i am… I am a werecat. A panther, to be exact.” she said with a little bit of amusement.

Which did nothing to ease Karena’s wariness. She narrowed her gaze, calmly sitting back, knife at the ready. ”Show me your eyes”. This seemed to cause the girl to falter, appearing slightly uneasy, and Karena shifted slightly, ready for an attack. But the girl didn’t attack, instead she looked away, seeming to think on her words a moment.

”They’re blue. I’ve taken an innocent life, against my will. I wasn’t fast.. No, I was too fast, i couldn’t change my movement, and they… they used her as a shield” She said softly, her voice full of emotion and regret, which gave Karena pause. She supposed that it was possible, and for a moment, her heart went out for the woman.

Her voice was hard and flat however when she said ”Show me”. It was simply not something that she could ignore. Selina grimaced, and looked away once more, before looking back to Karena, who was ready for the sight before her. The young woman had, it seemed, good control, only allowing her eyes to change, and nothing else, her eyes glowing a blue that simply couldn’t be described. Despite knowing where they came from, Karena couldn’t doubt that they were beautiful.

The woman blinked, and her eyes returned to their human shade. :Satisfied?” The girl said, some annoyance in her voice, and Karena nodded, ”For now”
All I thought when I got to that was "yeah let's jump and fall and go splat!" But I'm a little morbid XD
"You can do whatever you like, Constance, but unlike you, some of us aren't selfish and actually think about other people! Go, run, be a coward, it's all your good for anyway!" Luna shouted at Constance, finally having enough of the other girls utter disrespect and disregard for anyone that wasn't her. ”"How the hell do you think we are going to get out of here, if it is another ring of thunder? In case you don't know, the last one wasn't so grand, so we may as well try and figure out how to stop it, but I wouldn't expect you to understand that, you don't think much beyond ME, ME, ME", by the end Luna was more than just yelling, she was absolutely furious, and she was nearly screaming.

She turned her whole anger, and fury onto Constance, finally not holding back, finally just letting everything out, ”Why did you sign up, Constance? What the hell are you running from that made you leave your pampered little life to be here, in dangerous situations, where you RUN at the first sign of having to think about something other than yourself? Oh, wait, maybe we shouldn’t be standing around talking about you, although I know how much you love that! You do whatever it is you want to do, whatever thoughts pop into that pretty little head of yours, I want nothing to do with!” She turned away from Constance, and in that moment, as far as she was concerned, Constance didn’t exist. Constance was a problem for another time, and right now, Luna was going to deal with whatever the fuck was going on right now.

She was going to stop this, and maybe figure out what the hell had happened, so many years ago, to cause what home was like. Maybe then, they could fix things. She sure as hell wasn’t going to stand around while people were in trouble, and it wasn’t just her people she was worried about. How many people would die today, if they didn’t do anything? Pleased that not only Colin, but Edward agreed with her, Luna looked over to them both.

She listened as the plan to jump was laid out, and Edwards attempt to get the others off as well was thrown aside. Luna wasn’t having that. Beyond the fact that it didn’t seem possible to jump with a blind girl, Luna knew they wouldn’t all make it, they wouldn’t all have the time to jump, to jump without killing themselves at least, and she shook her head. ”You guys go, you figure out how to get on the planes, how to get to relative safety, because we are not leaving anyone beyond” This she shouted loudly, her tone one that could not be refused. Colin, Raymond and Juliette didn’t need to suffer because they had come with them, and trouble always seem to find them. The deserved the chance to live.

”And I’ll go up the stairs, I’ll figure out how to stop this. You’re going to report all this, one day, Ed… you’re going to be an amazing writer… “ and no one would care she was gone, unlike Constance, except for her father. If she had to sacrifice herself, so that the others might live… then that was what she would do. She wouldn’t walk away from this and wonder what if, what if she could have done something? She’d walk away knowing that she had done all that she could ”I’ll be okay. Give me the cube, Ed. I can run faster. Find a way to get Juliette and Raymond to safety, okay? If i can’t find an answer in a few moments, I’ll run back down. Make sure there’s a way I can get off, okay?” She was now ignoring the Endurance, just looking to Edward, and giving him a small smile.

”Get to safety, Eddie”
Callie

@Legion02

Callie continued on her route, seeming to know where she was going, and driving quite confidently down the road. She seemed to have left the main part of town, heading in the direction of the Running Y ranch, but turning off in another direction, to a secluded area, for the moment. Not many people knew about this area, somewhere Callie had gone with young witches and warlocks before, to give them the most basic training if they didn’t want to join her coven. Many were just passing through, or many didn’t have a strong talent, but Callie could still guide them in what they could do, safely and away from those that might get hurt.

She glanced over to Alexis as she asked about the spells, and whether she could help her with her air magic. When she asked if Callie would teach her to fight, Callie turned her attention back to the road, silent for some time. ”Control comes with practice, it is a fine… art, really, but foci can help us. I have a wand you can borrow, until we carve you one of your own. Of course, you may find that you might prefer other foci. There’s rings, for one, a staff for another and many more. You’ll find as you grow and learn control, that you won’t need them as much, but that for more finer spells, complicated ones, the foci are necessary.” Callie explained, ”And we can work on that today, yes” She said, falling silent again.

She finally continued as she pulled the car into a parking spot, turning to face Alexis. ”i can teach you a few things, yes. But until you’ve established control, I’d prefer it if you stuck to defensive skills. I will teach you a few basic fighting moves, as well, but it wouldn’t do to destroy half a neighbour with a spell. As you learn control, i’ll increase the complexity of the spells” She explained, before she unbuckled her seatbelt, and got out the car, going to the back. She took out a black case, waiting for Alexis to join her.
Imogen

Imogen had yet to leave her cabin, the young girl looking around the tidy, if a little bit disorganised room. Her seamonkeys, a little inside joke. What pet would the child of a Poseidon have? A horse, a sea creature? Hell, even a goldfish. No, Imogen had sea monkeys, the little creatures seemed to thrive under her careful care, and Imogen prided herself on looking after them. Checking on the small creatures, in their tank she smiled. Sometimes, she just came into her cabin to watch them, they were such peaceful creatures, and really undervalued, under appreciated.

Humming to herself, Imogen rose, and grabbed her bag, the gentle trickle of water ever present in the Poseidon cabin, and a musical harmony to the young girl. Imogen smiled to herself. The cabin was ever peaceful, a retreat from the other campers when things got a little bit too much for her, the only other resident her half brother. Well, perhaps not even that. The way the gods worked, there were no blood ties despite having the same father. Still, to imogen, Noel- or Dunbar, as he seemed to prefer to be called- was her brother. It was oddly comforting to have someone who was going through the same things as her, to help her with her abilities, and generally just to have someone to come back to in the cabin, even if they had separate rooms. .

Decided that she had lingered enough already, Imogen gave a small sigh and started towards the obstacle tower, taking her time, not in any rush. In her eight years being in the camp, Imogen had rarely participated in the tradition, finding that she was often surpassed, simply because she didn’t wish to be the center of attention. She was sure if she put her mind to it, she could win, she could beat the others, and for a few minutes, she thought on trying it out this year. Just to see what she could do. She knew that she had to push herself to do things, to try things out, but.. She didn’t want people watching her.

Biting her lip, Imogen continued to walk, the thoughts rolling around in her mind over and over again, soon reaching the obstacle, not entirely sure how she had gotten there so fast, but then she had been in her own little world. Looking up at the tower, Imogen teetered on the edge of a decision, to go complete the tower, or go sit on the stands. She looked up at the tower, seeing that others were already beginning to climb the monstrosity. What did she have to lose, if she had a go at it? Her gaze flickered to the stands, where she could just slip away unnoticed.

Did she want to be unnoticed, anymore? That was the difficult question, one she found herself unable to answer. Had she been stationary too long? Maybe it was time to change things up. Before she could change her mind, Imogen made her way over to the obstacle course, reaching the starting point, looking up at the few campers that had already began for a second, and before she could waiver, she ducked under the beam, her heart beating fast already at what she was doing.
