Hi all, I was a member of the Guild quite a while ago. I left not long after the original RP's and posts were lost some time ago, partly because I was so bummed but mainly because life got in the way. But after all this time I have a creative itch to scratch, so I'm back! Hopefully I'll see some of you in some RP's and we'll have some fun!
I'm more interested in Superhero and Sci-Fi RP's, maybe some post-apocalyptica depending on the theme.
As for personal interests, I'm a gamer more than anything, from Pen & Paper to console or PC. My favourite games reflect a lot of what I'm interested in, so in no particular order, here are some of the games I enjoy:
- Fallout (3, New Vegas, 4 to a lesser extent) - XCOM (Enemy Unknown, 2) - Shadowrun - Divinity 2: Original Sin - Baldur's Gate - Turok 2: Seeds of Evil - Red Dead Redemption (1, 2, Online) - Hollow Knight - Outer Worlds
And a tonne of others, but that's all I got off the top of my head.
Physical Description: - Athletic build, toned. - Clawed hands and toes. - Rear claw on heels of feet, bird-like. - Backward bending knees. - Four upper canine teeth, four lower canines. More pronounced than average. - Leathery, bat-like wings. Wingspan is 12.5 meters (41 feet). - Tail with wing-like growths along the length to aid with steering during flight. - Pointed ears. - Slightly up-turned nose. Not entirely snout-like, but still noticeable.
Parents:
[FATHER'S NAME]. Possesses a quirk allowing him to take on characteristics of living animals if he consumes a part of them (Skin, hair, blood, etc) until consumed matter is digested and expelled. This includes canine-like traits for dogs. In the instance of people with quirks, he can use that person's quirk until the consumed matter is digested and expelled, but he doesn't have the same amount of experience or control as someone who has had that quirk their whole life.
[MOTHER'S NAME]. Has a mutant quirk giving her the appearance of a humanoid bat. She can fly as well as use echolocation to see. She can also emit a sound outside of human perception that momentarily allows her to command/control other people, but only for as long as she makes that sound.
Quirk: "Four (eventually Six) Demon Army."
INHERITED FROM MOTHER ('Demonic' Appearance) -
- Physical mutation characteristics allow for gliding, but not true flight. - Wings can be flapped to increase jump height to five meters (16.5 feet). - Bones are more porous and lightweight to allow for gliding, yet slightly more durable than normal. The result is bones that are lighter than average, but still as durable as those of a normal person. - Skin has very high levels of keratin, making it more durable against small-arms fire and able deflect blades easier, but a direct stabbing attack will still pierce the hide, even if it requires a little extra effort. Large caliber round can still inflict large amounts of damage. No resistance to fire, but can retain body heat better. - Echolocation.
INHERITED FROM FATHER ('Demon Summoning') -
- Can create 'clones' of living creatures if they consume their organic matter. - Creation is intentional and not involuntary. - Clones are 'tethered' to them, with umbilical tendrils extending from their waist, connecting to the spine of the clone at roughly waist-height. - If the clone is of someone with a quirk, the clone will also have that quirk, although half as powerful as the original. - Can create three clones at a time. A maximum of five with enough training. - Tethers have a length of 9 feet and are as durable as their skin. - Tethers can be detached, crumbling to smoldering ash, granting clones full freedom of movement. - While tethered, clones last until consumed matter is digested and expelled. When un-tethered, they last for 90 minutes before crumbling to smoldering ash. With training, this time can be increased to three hours. - Mindless drones, linked to, and controlled by, [CHARACTER] through a hivemind. They have no will or minds of their own. - [CHARACTER] can feel any pain the clones experience as well as hear, see, feel, smell and taste what they do. This can be overwhelming however. Like trying to fly three RC drones at once. - Clones do not look exactly like their originals. They take on a more 'demonic' appearance, similar to the appearance of [CHARACTER]. Their skin becomes gray, their ears become pointed or fin-like. Non-human animals become hairless/furless and their canines become sharper and more pronounced. - Clones take one minute to create (30 seconds with enough training).
Background: [CHARACTER]'s father was a factory worker, while their mother was a writer, meeting each other through mutual friends. When [CHARACTER] was born, there was some degree of concern. Their mother had grown up with a mutant quirk and knew how such a radically different appearance could make parts of life difficult. They also weren't prepared for how their quirks unexpectedly interacted with their child.
At best guess, their father's trait of taking on characteristics of others had extended to conception. As a result, [CHARACTER] would have simply looked like an average human, like their father, possibly with a similar quirk. The unique nature of his quirk meant, however, that while [CHARACTER] was developing, they took on physical traits similar to their mother. This interacted with the quirk they inherited with their father, changing it so that instead of taking on the characteristics of others, [CHARACTER] instead created "children" clones. These clones shared physical characteristics with [CHARACTER], but also the quirks of the other 'parent' whose organic matter they had consumed, similar to how [CHARACTER] developed in the womb.
Growing up, the family was relatively normal and happy. [CHARACTER] did experience problems with their appearance, with some seeing them as 'demonic' looking. As a result they tended to attract friends that were part of goth or metalhead subcultures. Ironically, while [CHARACTER] found themselves enjoying the musical genres associated with those groups, they did also quite enjoy less 'intense' music, such as Enya. They also had a passion for music, first learning the piano followed by the saxophone and then guitar, as well as learning to sing, in order to start a band with friends.

Quirk: - Able to physically transform any living creature they touch. - Can change height, eye/hair/skin colour, weight, biological sex. - Cannot change quirks. - Stores the physical 'data' of the person they transformed, allowing them to take on the appearance of what the transformed individual originally looked like. - Can grant mutant-like characteristics (horns, fur, etc) but cannot change the individual to another species (i.e can make a person look like a werewolf, but can't turn them into an actual wolf). - Can technically remove or grant quirks. By transforming a mutant into an average human, they can remove any abilities associated with that physical mutation (i.e. Turn a frog-like tongue into a normal human tongue, remove a tail, etc). - Likewise, giving a person a frog-like tongue grants them a mutant, frog-like quirk as a result. - Can transform an individual back to their original form, at the expense of no longer being able to take on the appearance of that individual. - Transforming into a person with physical mutations allows them to use those physical 'quirks'. - Aside from above, transforming their own appearance is entirely physical. They cannot copy quirks (i.e They can transform into someone who had a tail and use that tail as a 'physical quirk', but they cannot copy a quirk allowing them to make things float). - Can be used to restore lost/damaged organs, limbs, etc. - Takes 15-20 seconds to transform others as well as themself.
