Aiko Fujiwara was a somewhat normal girl apart from her powers of memory leeching but she had a second ablity of far sight which she used to tell that this island was not real. She did not know the exact details but what they were seeing, eating and smelling was all a figment of their imaginations. She looked for people to convince. Everyone she came across did not seem to listen they did not want to wake up. She had to tell them to wake up something was very very wrong.
She saw somebody and would try to convince them that this was a dream.
Eli knew something was about to happen, what that something was however he didn't know. He did know however it was gonna involve a Meta or three, if Nate had a say in it, it might go from one to a hundred. "Jim, I need you to run." That was like he said before some other bat shit nuts guy showed up out of no where. This was place was fucking mad house.
Eli did his best to erupt before getting hit but he wasn't so lucky. After only a punch or two Eli erupted and pushed himself backwards burning through the tree limbs as he fell. He did have presence of mind to do two things as he fell. Elijah sent out two blasts if fire. One was meant for who or whatever attacked him the other was much stronger and was to clear out a any members of the Legion. Eli hoped he didn't hit who ever was the bringing the Warriors reference. Even Eli had to bow to that one.
Eli hit the ground with thud. This was the getting ridiculous, how much shit had he fallen out of or gone through over the course of the last few years? Elijah coughed for and tried to catch his breath. He needed to get away from the jungle and into some open space, plus Jim was still in the tree. Legion might get him and do something goofy. It took him a second to get to his feet and started running. He did pass the one with the glass bottles, Eli simply said "awesome," he never stopped for a second.
Eli ran and kept running, he used his powers to help him gain a few steps. It was gonna take them a lot longer to get to him than it took him to get away. He showed down, not using his powers but kept up a decent speed. Until he found a small child. With all the shit that's happened why not?
"Hey girl you okay?" Eli asked trying to sounds friendly and comforting.
"Do you not see it? This is all a dream." Aiko told the man he met. "I tell everyone but nobody listens to what I am saying." Aiko was worried was this man going to be like all the others she looked him over to her he looked odd but she had seen stranger. No one she met had seen what she had seen she tried to show them but they denied the truth. This was a dream. A dream without rest a nightmare without terror, it was jut there.
Aiko looked at Eli worriedly. She tried to convince people and memory leeching could convince them but when she told most people her power they became wary.
Before this Aiko was at a special school being taught restraint but she also had technical assitance in limiting her ablities now though she could take as memories as she needed if she needed. But Aiko used her sight to see what the others could not. Aiko seemed to have red eyes. Was see going to be trapped here forever? She did not want to be trapped here forever.
"Given the events of today, I wouldn't be shocked. Not one bit. The bigger question right now is are you okay? "Eli asked walking towards and crouching down so he was at her eye level.
"No I am scared that we'll be trapped here forever and I won't see my family. Things aren't great but I never got to say goodbye." Aiko began to weep.
This was not a good time to for this girl to break down. Eli had Legion and some other fuck nut to worry about. Still there was something a little girl crying that broke Eli's heart, whatever was left of it at least.
"Come here now girl." Eli said softly, hugging the girl in attempt to confront her. He had no idea if what she was say was true or not. Shit if he was a betting man he would have bet the world that there was no way he could control fire or be filthy stinking rich. "It's gonna be okay. We'll get out of here, I promise." Eli's heart was breaking at the sound of her crying.
All of a sudden he felt something in his head she saw a part of Eli's memory it made her sad but what was worse it triggered her sight again she saw earth on fire, a world at war with itself this time it burned billions screamed. She saw the rest of Eli's memories but she gave Eli parts of what she saw, not intentionally the memories she saw had come upon her like a tsunami. She began to ball. "Eli why do you do what you do?"
"What did you to to all those people. Did they deserve it?" she wept.
The moment Eli felt something going on with his head, let go. He saw something, something that proved this girl was telling the truth. He let her go and pushed himself backwards making sure he didn't hurt or push the girl.
"I... What fuck is going on here? What shit did you do me? None of this real? What...?" Eli said questioningly. Something happened to him and he was not in a mental state to figure it out.
It tool him a minute to figure out that she had asked him questions. Did she read his mind? Was that even possible? She's only a kid... Right? Eli started questioning everything that happened since woke up.
"Listen to me now, those are all very fair and reasonable questions that I promise to answer but first we need to get outta here. I need you to calm down can you do that for me? "Eli asked.
Aiko began to breath, and relax, "Have you looked the entire memories of an apartment complex, I saw so many memories once I was put into the hospital." Aiko began to relax.
"I'm better." her voice warbled, she was not going to be great but this was not the worst thing she'd seen that had been her parents' memories. "I ... was called a memory leech." Aiko uttered. "I was able to once look at a whole lot of memories once, they think I over extended my ..abilities." she said shaky.
" If I take hold of your hand, will you see more of the horrific shit that I've done? I'd rather spare you that damage if possible." Eli said softly as got to his feet. "I'm still in a state of pure bewilderment. So please, talk slowly and use small words, okay?"
"I've already seen it. I can see when you were my age, a rare happy moment from that time." Aiko looked down. "Sorry, it can see everything." Aiko took his hand.
"Yeah, those were the days. "Eli's words were solemn. " So none of this real, huh? I really did kill my best friend. Damn that's depressing. So what's your story kid? You hungry or thirsty. I could really use some ice cream right now. " It was clear that Eli was depressed, he had one of the most important people back only to find out it was like.
With the girl in hand they begin walking towards the bar that him and Jim had been to earlier. It was the only place he knew to go that might even be possible to get them anywhere and he really needed to eat.
It was a while before he said anything, or so it seemed. "So what's your story girl? What's your name? Where you from? Give me something to make me feel about you knowing everything about." Eli smiled for a second. "Did you see that one time I had to get dressed up in drag cause I lost that bet?"
"I did not just see that I saw the time where you got forced to go to a convention dressed as Sailor Moon."
Aiko bowed, "I am Aiko Fujiwara. I was born in Sendai but four years ago I was forced to move onto an island with my Aunt and Uncle since it had a smaller population then Sendai. I-" Aiko sighed. "it seemed my powers got stronger as I got older. I was in a coma from seeing the memories of an entire apartment building, the doctors figured if I was away from people my powers would be less likely to cause issues. So I lived on an island until..." Aiko looked around at the beach, "Until this began for which I have no clear idea."
Eli felt apart of of his memories weren't gone but he saw a flash of Aiko on an island with two fortyish relatives. The island had forty people on it and a thousand cats. Aiko liked cats more than people she could not go into animal minds. So there was a mystery.
"Can also see the future and use skills I saw in other people's heads. Right now for some reason I think I can disassemble and reassemble a gun." Aiko sounded cold about the weapon, "But I'll take Ice Cream even if it is not real." He voice perked up.
"You got that from me, I was in the military when I was younger.... Ice Cream it is! "Eli proclaimed. It didn't take too much longer for them to return to the bar. He starting to like this girl. Eli liked most kids. They weren't as screwed up as most adults and unlike most adults kids didn't run away screaming in to Hills when ever he walked into the a room. Most kids were honest and gave Elijah a fair shake, something that was almost impossible to find for him.
As they entered the bar Eli finally came up with an idea or two."Well I got two ideas, we can tell someone we what's going on, or we can take a chance and I can destroy just about everything and everyone here. Other than that I'm at a loss. What about you kid? "
"We'll need to tell them but the problem is they are all happy. Nobody wants out of the dream. I am unsure of the phrase but we gotta raise a little hell? But I need to find the high ground on this "island". If I cannot see beyond the barrier then we try to shake people out of their dreams." Aiko liked her cone. "I cannot think of a certain plan. I only read RPG strategists when I was in Sendai. there is a difference than real strategy."
Aiko looked at the happy people on the beach. "My uncle says life is about the good and bad without the bad you cannot appreciate the good. A life where only good things happen makes people take advantage of good things. He said my power was a good and a bad thing. He did not understand my power, he was a fisherman but he tried his best to help. If I did not see in pain I'd not see all the good moments of his life." Aiko was saddened.
"I don't think I he's wrong. Your uncle I mean. The bad times do make the good times better." Eli licked his own ice cream. It was something he did when he was stumped and while most problems just took some piecing together this was a bit of a dandy. The problem wasn't the whatever that was going on, it was getting everyone together and them trusting Eli and not try to kill him. He was that wasn't gonna happen.
"Raising Kane won't help anything, I've been doing that all day. I must thrown over a hundred bombs, I turned part of the beach into D-Day and the beaches of Normandy. So that's not gonna unless I go bigger, to big and I could destroy everything... I think. "Eli licked his ice cream again.
"I am not sure how this works. But we'll need a place that can hit hard and cause a lot of damage. Then I may need to do my ...thing." Aiko said worriedly.
Aiko looked around the beach. "Have you ever seen those old disaster movies?"
" Vaguely, you mean like Pompeii or some shhhh, uh stuff. " Eli had just remember that he was sitting next to a child and not one his drinking buddies."So I just need to destroy this place and you work your magic and we're off to the races?"
"I hope so." replied Aiko as she ate the Ice cream. "If I can see their memories they may believe me. If that fails... I can short it out." Aiko looked down depressed. "I may need everyone to be a blankslate for a bit or worse I get lost in all the memories. No matter what, what is holding us could not handle a jolt like that." Aiko was worried but it was the only ideas she had.
"I think shorting it out would be the better option of it all. Again slow and small words sweety, I'm still in a bit of bewilderment and I'm still struggling with what's going on. "Elijah Craig said calmly while licking his ice cream. He was scared, go be sure. But he couldn't show up for fear of the kid losing it.
"Well then Eli I guess the only thing we can do is charge the hill and take it. The entire meta population here needs us to do it or we're trapped forever doing god knows what." Aiko said coldly. Eli would be disturbed seeing this a twelve year old so calm and collected.
"Well, point me in the right direction and turn me loose. Just stay close to me and make sure nothing gets me from the behind." Eli tossed the ice cream cone into the sand and stood up. "Never before would I thought I'd be taking my orders from a small child. Shhh-stuff only gets more fuuuu-jacked up, yeah that's the word jacked up as time goes on."
"You are aware I know all the swear words you said in your memory right?" Aiko looked at the man, "Follow me." she led Eli from the bar to a hill it did not look like much but there appeared to be a radio tower, it was playing only the best beach music to everyone's pleasure. "You see that Radio tower? Destroy it. It will destroy tier one security."
" Still you a kid girl, I'd of never touched you had I known. I guess on the bright side ain't much gonna bother you now. " Eli quietly followed the girl and listen to what she had to say about the radio tower." is that all I got to do just that one tower? Hell fire that ain't hard." Eli said as he erupted his right hand and slowly concentrate all the energy into his palm. He launched in the air using his powers to make sure it hit exactly where he wanted it to.
The energy hit the tower and it creaked over. The Tower began to wobble and fall right over. It came down with a resounding crash. Eli and the rest for a moment swore they saw the world flicker.
"Well we did something." Aiko smiled.
"Yeah I guess we did... " Eli started to feel faint, he could feel his eyes get heavy and sure enough he fell to one knee. He didn't know what was going on how it had happened. Just that it had something to so with the simulation." Run girl, run and don't stop. "Eli's last words before passing out face first in the sand.
Aiko nodded and ran away, she headed towards the others on the beach. She hoped this had shaken other's out of this dream.
Eli didn't what happened or how long he was out. When came out of what ever stupor he was in, Eli instantly erupted but nothing happened. He kept trying and trying only for nothing to happen. It was then he realized he was water or some kind of fluid. A mask was over his head which seemed to save him from dying. When he calmed down enough to see what was going with his own eyes everything started to make sense. He was taken from the house and taken somewhere else, put into the simulation and has now found himself in the waters of the unknown. Eli however was gonna be damned if he was gonna role over for who ever put him there.
He looked around and found a handle on the inside pulled it. Thankfully, it was the way out of his fluid filled tube. The fluid now the he thought about felt a little like jello. When Eli hit the floor he erupted to a high level just burn off whatever was on him. Just as he made it to his feet he couldn't help but notice the tens of thousands of pods that weren't unlike his. That he was ready for, what he wasn't ready for was the every in my form that tapped him on the shoulder. when you turn to get a good look at what had touched his shoulder, he began to scream like a little girl. high pitch tone and all
Probably it was the fact the hand that was touching him was frigidly cold. The pale blue female was glaring at Eli. "What the hell are you doin here?" She looked around. "Where is here?" She looked and the blocky frozed substance she had gotten out of.
"OH DEAR G-d. Fuck the cold. I don't know where hear is... I'd wager a transport or a prison of some sort. Account got me being here. I'd also account for a fridged bitch like you. I wonder what crime I've committed to have spend the time with you. " Eli said with a scowl.
"I don't know but maybe you should not have killed so many of Abernathy's people and you'd not be here. You know that spook is always running something and you walked into Qatar and screwed him over. He don't forgive easily but your the only one who knows I work with that guy." Chiller smiled. "I am eyeing that fast boy Ian or something like that." Chiller looked at the tubes as it seemed others were coming out of them.
"Fuck Abernathy. I done told him plenty that was bad Intel. None of that would have happened if he would have just told the people who hired me what was going on in Qatar. Old man ought to know better than to try and pull this shit on me." Eli shouted in anger. "But noooooo leaks he says. Leaks I got rid of. Jack ass. And who is Ian?" Eli turned to see other people getting out of the tubes. "I gotta find that girl and make sure she's okay." Eli said to himself. "If you see a little girl round about 10 or so, don't touch her. Lord knows she's seen enough horrible shit."
"I'll try and Eli when we get back from this, avoid DC Abernathy is planning something domestically and it may blow up. No rubbing it in his face." Chiller began to saunter off. Eli did love seeing her go.
Watching Chiller leave might be the only thing Eli like about her. Eli however had much more pressing things in his mind. Like finding that little girl, there was also Oiliva and Scarlet he had to consider. He could remember seeing Oiliva talking to that pretty boy from before but not Scarlet, it was a decent bet that both if them where here. Still three were too many to constantly keep up with. Scarlet might be okay for a short time, Oiliva as well but the girl wasn't. As the last of Chillers decent part left his sight Eli begin looking for the kid.
"Aiko, Aiko where are you girl!? " Eli kept shouting as he looked for the little girl that got them out of the simulation. She also took away Jim Harper without so much as a good bye. Still, it put Eli at a better frame mind to himself one more time. Even if it was just fake.
He heard a loud kicking from several of the tubes but he finally saw her in a tube twenty rows down. He saw her in the tube kicking as hard as possible but not breaking the tube.
"Oh there you are. "Eli with a erupted hand cut into the bottom of the tube. Once the fluid drained to where she wasn't trying to kick the door out if it Eli cut through it pick her up and putting her on the ground. As soon as he let her go, he felt that strangle feeling in his head again. She once again saw the newly made memory. "I really gotta remember about that. Is it memories you leach or thoughts to? Please don't tell me you can leach thoughts." Eli said with a worried look on his face.
"I can leech all sorts of memories through direct touch or within a certain range." Aiko replied catching her breath, "Current thoughts are more difficult." Aiko huffed "Thank you Eli."
She stood up an began to look over the people around her. How many people were there in tubes? It was hundreds.

"Well then Eli I guess the only thing we can do is charge the hill and take it. The entire meta population here needs us to do it or we're trapped forever doing god knows what." Aiko said coldly. Eli would be disturbed seeing this a twelve year old so calm and collected.
"Well, point me in the right direction and turn me loose. Just stay close to me and make sure nothing gets me from the behind." Eli tossed the ice cream cone into the sand and stood up. "Never before would I thought I'd be taking my orders from a small child. Shhh-stuff only gets more fuuuu-jacked up, yeah that's the word jacked up as time goes on."
"You are aware I know all the swear words you said in your memory right?" Aiko looked at the man, "Follow me." she led Eli from the bar to a hill it did not look like much but there appeared to be a radio tower, it was playing only the best beach music to everyone's pleasure. "You see that Radio tower? Destroy it. It will destroy tier one security."
" Still you a kid girl, I'd of never touched you had I known. I guess on the bright side ain't much gonna bother you now. " Eli quietly followed the girl and listen to what she had to say about the radio tower." is that all I got to do just that one tower? Hell fire that ain't hard." Eli said as he erupted his right hand and slowly concentrate all the energy into his palm. He launched in the air using his powers to make sure it hit exactly where he wanted it to.
The energy hit the tower and it creaked over. The Tower began to wobble and fall right over. It came down with a resounding crash. Eli and the rest for a moment swore they saw the world flicker.
"Well we did something." Aiko smiled.
"Yeah I guess we did... " Eli started to feel faint, he could feel his eyes get heavy and sure enough he fell to one knee. He didn't know what was going on how it had happened. Just that it had something to so with the simulation." Run girl, run and don't stop. "Eli's last words before passing out face first in the sand.
Aiko nodded and ran away, she headed towards the others on the beach. She hoped this had shaken other's out of this dream.
Eli didn't what happened or how long he was out. When came out of what ever stupor he was in, Eli instantly erupted but nothing happened. He kept trying and trying only for nothing to happen. It was then he realized he was water or some kind of fluid. A mask was over his head which seemed to save him from dying. When he calmed down enough to see what was going with his own eyes everything started to make sense. He was taken from the house and taken somewhere else, put into the simulation and has now found himself in the waters of the unknown. Eli however was gonna be damned if he was gonna role over for who ever put him there.
He looked around and found a handle on the inside pulled it. Thankfully, it was the way out of his fluid filled tube. The fluid now the he thought about felt a little like jello. When Eli hit the floor he erupted to a high level just burn off whatever was on him. Just as he made it to his feet he couldn't help but notice the tens of thousands of pods that weren't unlike his. That he was ready for, what he wasn't ready for was the every in my form that tapped him on the shoulder. when you turn to get a good look at what had touched his shoulder, he began to scream like a little girl. high pitch tone and all
Probably it was the fact the hand that was touching him was frigidly cold. The pale blue female was glaring at Eli. "What the hell are you doin here?" She looked around. "Where is here?" She looked and the blocky frozed substance she had gotten out of.
"OH DEAR G-d. Fuck the cold. I don't know where hear is... I'd wager a transport or a prison of some sort. Account got me being here. I'd also account for a fridged bitch like you. I wonder what crime I've committed to have spend the time with you. " Eli said with a scowl.
"I don't know but maybe you should not have killed so many of Abernathy's people and you'd not be here. You know that spook is always running something and you walked into Qatar and screwed him over. He don't forgive easily but your the only one who knows I work with that guy." Chiller smiled. "I am eyeing that fast boy Ian or something like that." Chiller looked at the tubes as it seemed others were coming out of them.
"Fuck Abernathy. I done told him plenty that was bad Intel. None of that would have happened if he would have just told the people who hired me what was going on in Qatar. Old man ought to know better than to try and pull this shit on me." Eli shouted in anger. "But noooooo leaks he says. Leaks I got rid of. Jack ass. And who is Ian?" Eli turned to see other people getting out of the tubes. "I gotta find that girl and make sure she's okay." Eli said to himself. "If you see a little girl round about 10 or so, don't touch her. Lord knows she's seen enough horrible shit."
"I'll try and Eli when we get back from this, avoid DC Abernathy is planning something domestically and it may blow up. No rubbing it in his face." Chiller began to saunter off. Eli did love seeing her go.
Watching Chiller leave might be the only thing Eli like about her. Eli however had much more pressing things in his mind. Like finding that little girl, there was also Oiliva and Scarlet he had to consider. He could remember seeing Oiliva talking to that pretty boy from before but not Scarlet, it was a decent bet that both if them where here. Still three were too many to constantly keep up with. Scarlet might be okay for a short time, Oiliva as well but the girl wasn't. As the last of Chillers decent part left his sight Eli begin looking for the kid.
"Aiko, Aiko where are you girl!? " Eli kept shouting as he looked for the little girl that got them out of the simulation. She also took away Jim Harper without so much as a good bye. Still, it put Eli at a better frame mind to himself one more time. Even if it was just fake.
He heard a loud kicking from several of the tubes but he finally saw her in a tube twenty rows down. He saw her in the tube kicking as hard as possible but not breaking the tube.
"Oh there you are. "Eli with a erupted hand cut into the bottom of the tube. Once the fluid drained to where she wasn't trying to kick the door out if it Eli cut through it pick her up and putting her on the ground. As soon as he let her go, he felt that strangle feeling in his head again. She once again saw the newly made memory. "I really gotta remember about that. Is it memories you leach or thoughts to? Please don't tell me you can leach thoughts." Eli said with a worried look on his face.
"I can leech all sorts of memories through direct touch or within a certain range." Aiko replied catching her breath, "Current thoughts are more difficult." Aiko huffed "Thank you Eli."
She stood up an began to look over the people around her. How many people were there in tubes? It was hundreds.
She looked at Eli, "I think we just left a dream for a nightmare."
" You ain't wrong Baby Sister. Come let's see if he we can figure out what's going in around here. Take hold of my hand and stay close. "Eli didn't wait for her to respond before taking her hand and left where they were looking for a way out.
