Honestly I shouldn't even be getting involved, because I'm new and all so my presence here hasn't been "established" yet - in which my opinions don't carry much weight.
But in numerous RP sites in the past I've been a moderator, so I have the understanding of the headaches all this is causing. Hell I'm almost 31, I've seen a lot. This thread is proof that the mods are trying to figure out how to make this right.

That's why I suggested the ban thread, where the names and links/screenshots of what got them banned be somewhere. That way, if a Mod wanted to abuse their power it would be more difficult because they would have to post the proof of their judgement for all to see. It would give an accountability to their actions.
Yes, in our world, languages are named after the places where we live. But so too are the people who live there. Like how you'll find Germans in Germany, Africans in Africa, and Mexicans in Mexico. Yes, Americans speak English, but that's because the settlers that came here were from England. So if your elves live in Elveguard, who's to say their Elvin language isn't named after where they live? Also Latin was originally spoken in Latium, which is a region in Italy. So maybe the full story is that the elves and their language is named after a small region in Theodmon called Elvinto?
Clearly the name of a language isn't always super obvious. If there's an Elvin language, and there are elves, then there is probably a place, however small, with a like name. It just might not be pivotal to the story. But who really knows?

Martial-Arts based RP set in ancient China. Not decided on a specific date, but I was thinking maybe before the rise of Qin (the first emperor) back when there were multiple rulers and shit hitting the fan everywhere.
You will have to decide on a style of kung fu for your characters. And I am taking no more than four people. Due to this fact, if there are more than four applying I will decide who gets in based on their character sheets. I know I've only been here a week, but lemme give all you peeps some advice. Be yourself and if you get banned, then fuck it - there's plenty other sites to go to. If you're involved in a creative environment, but are afraid to say things or talk about things for fear of being banned then staying isn't worth it.
No matter how much work you put into this place, or time you devote to it, unless you own the site then being a member here is a "blessing not a right". There are no laws stating that they have to do anything when it comes to whom they ban.
Personally I haven't had any problems here yet, being new, but already this place looks a little shady based on the mod's responses.
A lot of websites have a Ban List, with the name of the user and a pic/link to the post that got them banned. Nothing else said about it. It's a locked thread so no one can reply to it. This is a great idea because it will stop the questioning of your judgments AND make sure the mod's can't abuse their power because they have to show the proof of their actions.
And people should be able to make appeals for others, especially if they have evidence. There's really no legitimate reason to not allow that, except for the fact that you don't want to.

@Master Also, do you know who Samson reminds me of? Shit I forgot his name... Nyle DiMarco? I think that's what it was.
I dunno lol, I just literally typed in "Faces" in google images and picked it. I wanted a slightly scruffy look to match my beggar theme.
