Hope he's okay. Probably the last person you'd expect to be in a LoL club, but eh.
Name: Tatsuya Oda nickname/summoner name: N/A. Picture: Role: Doesn't have one, just the club's manager. Personality: Tatsuya's never been much for online games and the like. He's always been more of an outdoors type of person, preferring to be physically active and playing sports rather than staying cooped up all day playing video games. Not that he doesn't dabble in games here and there—they just don't mean much to him, which heavily reflects in his attitude towards the club. He's a slacker to the core in anything not involving baseball and can barely be assed to fulfill his duties most of the time, usually fulfilling them with a tired groan. The only reason he's in the club is because of a shoulder injury that limits his ability to practice his pitching. The club's just a distraction until he's ready to go back to baseball as the team's ace pitcher, but he might find more enjoyment in the E-sports club than he could have originally imagined. Year in school: 2nd year, 16. Experience in league: Can pretend to understand what's going on on screen.
Name: Elias Mertens Title: Drunken Archer, given to him for his nearly comical ability to aim an arrow even under the influence. Age: 19 Class: Archer Sexuality: Heterosexual Home: Lycia.
Equipment: Iron bow, vulnerary. Economy: 500 Gold
Personality: Elias is the very definition of brilliant, but lazy. He’s a talented archer who’s shown excellent growth since he picked up the bow. The problem with him is that he would rather spend time flirting with women, gambling for insane pay outs,or having a drink at the local tavern than train. In his mind, he already has the skill and strength to shoot down anyone who could possibly pose a threat to him, so he simply doesn’t bother working hard to improve. He has what he needs to blast down baddies and protect his brother—that’s all he really needs. In a sense, this reasoning is only a half truth.
Elias is, in fact, confident about his abilities. However, this is not the only reason he abstains from constant practice. The art of the bow is the sole memento he has of his mother, who abandoned their family when he was around thirteen. She was a free spirited Sacean who regretted leaving her home after marrying Elias’ father. He still holds some resentment towards her to this day, which developed into an annoyance over the love of the plains that many Saceans have ingrained into their minds. The fact that his father died of illness shortly after her leave did nothing to improve his perception of their devotion to Sacae.
Elias is mainly focused on enjoying all the worldly desires Elibe has to offer. If there’s a bar in town, there’s a good chance that you’ll find Elias having a drink and sharing a few tall tales of his exploits with other drinkers. Despite his notoriously terrible luck, Elias is a huge fan of gambling. Granted, any time he does bet on anything he usually finds some way to tip the odds in his favor until his chance of actually losing is approximately zero. He has nimble hands so cheating is a non-issue for him, not to mention the fact that he’s a pretty clever person. From his gambling experience he knows to suspect any woman who accepts his flirtations too readily. He also tends to get into arguments with people who haves sticks up their asses but finds overly rude and aggressive people funny.
This demeanor changes whenever he’s dealing with his older brother, Tobias. He was emotionally stunted and mentally stunted from a young age, making Elias his only line of defense for all of the dangers in the world. He’s the one person Elias can say he loves without the slightest hint of sarcasm. However, these feelings are mixed more than anything else. Since his mother left, he’s always had the sneaking suspicion that his brother’s difficulties had something to do with it. Going to the bar and living it up when he can is the only escape he has from acting as a caretaker. He’s gotten into trouble from being neglectful on more than occasion. Should anyone pose a threat to his older brother, be it man or woman, he won’t hesitate to strike them down if need be.
“And that’ll be another 2000 gold for me. Thanks kindly!” Elias chugged down an entire glass of beer in an instant to celebrate his victory. He put both arms on the table and proceeded to scoop up the money into his pouch. It was time to live it up! Drinks for everybody, a few good meals for him and Tobias, and plenty of cash to spare for lodgings at the inn. Only...things did not go that smoothly, for a small hand axe was slammed down into the table out of rage. Suddenly, he felt a hand gripping his right arm too tight for comfort. He looked up at the muscular man, who was seething with rage.
“You weasel! How in the hell do you always lose when we’re betting small and win when we’re betting big?”
“Hey there, calm down big guy. That’s just the luck of the draw is all. Can’t get mad when things don’t start going your way—” At that moment, a card floated down from under his sleeve and onto the table. It was an ace, the very card that could mean the difference between life and death for a blackjack player. Elias stared blankly at the man, who glared at him with even stronger intensity. He was sure he could feel his bones being crushed from the force of his beastly hands.
Completely silent, Elias grabbed the man’s drink on the other side of the table and drenched him completely from head to toe in beer. The archer used the man’s surprise to escape from his grasp and immediately start bolting towards the door. He would need to get to Tobias. Fast. And run. Fast.
Alignment: True Neutral.
Simple description: As an archer, Elias prioritizes nimble movement and quick thinking above armor. Though he has a muscular build for a man his age, his use of basic leather armor hinders his defensive potential. Other than a basic chest plate over his torso, his only other noticeable traits are his leather boots and dark red pants.
