Bio

Hi. I'm Matt. You could say I'm a Case of Identity...

1. The Important Stuff: Faith and salvation

I am a Christian. I believe the KJV Bible and that God is real, Jesus died for me, Jesus rose again and offered salvation to the world. Heaven is real, Hell is hot and the only escape is Christ. I accepted salvation the only way you can: by admitting I was a sinner (and I still am), believing that Jesus died for me and rose again, and calling on Him to save me. Anyone can do it anytime and be granted eternal life.

"Matt, why are you saying all of this?" you ask.

Because last time I was here, I did a crap job of establishing that and just tried to 'fit in.' I'm going to add a little more of this to my characters and to my signature, because it's the right thing to do and because there's freedom on these kinds of sites. Not to an extent that interrupts/derails the story, though. Your game, your rules.

2. The Actual Bio:

Hi guys. I'm Matthias Emmanuel Angel, I'm 24, and this is where I spend time when I'm not doing other things (church, homework, studying, video games).

///
What I like:
-Landscape Management (my major)
-Guitar (over a decade of experience and not much to show for it)
-PC Games (gave up on Xbox, no regrets)
-RPGs (I play them too often though)
-Water instead of soda (oooo look at how healthy I am)
-Google SketchUp (awesome 3D models, free download)
-The number 23 (it's the best number)
///
What I don't like:
-Profanity (especially when it's just filler in comedy)
-Lewd content and porn (and anyone bragging about it)
-Gory movies (how are they going to get butchered this time?)
-Jerks (you aren't a jerk, are you?)
-Insects (kill them all)
-Dying in video games (and forgetting to save)
///

I realize, of course, that this site doesn't have limits on profanity of lewd content. No worries. I'll work around it, and won't join up with RPs rated 18+. If you feel like it will be a problem, let me know BEFORE the RP starts.

3. Other Internet Presence:

You can find me in a couple other places.

Armor Games: MattEmAngel
Steam: club_blizzy
...and Comments here, of course.

See you in another world.
-Matt

I saw it. I'm not interested in heavy emphasis on magic and gods so I'm backing out.
I have a character from another RP that is literally exactly designed for a medieval/sci-fi setting. The only thing she doesn't have is a well-written history.

So yeah I'm interested.
Too many things were happening all at once. Winters was rather displeased by the meager response to the introduction of Lady Jane, but his concern vanished with the arrival of another guest. It was too late to repeat the theatrics, and Winters was about to greet her when everyone was interrupted by what appeared to be space debris of some kind burning through the atmosphere and smashing into the ground some distance away. Before he could respond, Winters was interrupted yet again as he discovered the wolf could speak, and a fourth time as a bus pulled up. For the first time in his life, the assistant found himself completely unable to speak.

Amusingly, what was mortifying for Winters was exciting for Amie. A new guest! A speaking animal! A mysterious object falling from the sky! All of these needed addressing immediately, but she couldn't do anything without Winters, and he looked to be frozen in time. Thinking swiftly, Amie rebooted him.

"Bring the luggage in, Winters."

Silence. Winters was in another world.

"Winters! Escort the luggage to my suite at once."

Her emphasis on the last two words drew him out of his stupor. He turned to look at her, blinking slowly. Suddenly aware that he was making eye contact, he jolted back to reality and bowed his head.

"As you wish, Lady Jane."

Without another word, Amie stepped briskly past him and everyone else, heading towards the forest. To the wind with impressions. There was both danger and excitement here, and she had been shielded from both for long enough. "It is not your place," her mother chided in the back of her mind. She winced, but put it aside. The Janes could not touch her here, and she would find out for herself if this was or was not her place. Her only hindrance was Winters, the faithful servant, but he was occupied, and would continue to be occupied for some time. Amie smiled quietly to herself. She had done her research, and the lodge would never accompany all of the luggage she brought. She had purchased a considerable amount of time.

"Lady Jane! I-"

"The luggage, Winters," she called back, not even bothering to turn her head. A smug grin came over her face as she imagined the dilemma he was facing. Poor Winters. He would not be pleased at all.

The forest embraced her and she found herself soon isolated from the lodge, the car, the people, the noise...everything was quiet. Glancing quickly over her shoulder to see that no one was watching, she clenched her right hand into a fist. The golden coat of arms on the back glowed briefly, and the "J" melted into nothingness. Concentrating, she cycled between the armaments of her house, concluding with Evade: Increases speed and reaction time by one and one half times. Originally meant for combat, she had found a new use for it; traversing ground. The twin arrows representing the armament blazed into existence, filling the space in the coat of arms as the glow silently faded. New energy poured into Amie's slim frame and she lunged forward, heading towards the pillar of smoke protruding from the treeline.

A warning flashed in her mind; the young lady from the motorcycle had taken flight to the forest immediately, preceded by another man already present at the lodge. The two of them had a good thirty-to-forty second start, but they would not be far ahead now, and it was perhaps too early for Amie to reveal her abilities. Taking advantage of the surroundings, she weaved her way around trees, watching carefully for undesired company and preparing to slip behind cover. The armament could only sustain her for half a minute, but by then she would be very close to her destination. Fifty yards ahead of her, the woman in black came into view. Amie caught her breath and dodged right, making a long arc in an attempt to pass her unnoticed. The hunter green jacket, combined with the rest of her gray and black uniform, provided excellent camouflage, but physically she was not in shape to run for any extended period of time. Already her legs were cramping, as there had been no time to stretch after a long road trip, and her breathing was becoming louder and heavier. Siding with caution, Amie slowed to a stop and took refuge behind the thickest tree available. The symbol on her glove glowed briefly as the last seconds wore away, and it was was soon replaced by the familiar "J" of her name.

She waited for her pulse to slow, then stood up, straightened her jacket, kicked the debris from her boots, brushed a few stray strands of hair from her eyes, and pressed on.
The car rolled softly up to the face of the lodge. Neither of them spoke for several moments. Winters was trying to take in just how small the lodge was and how many things it lacked, and he hoped sincerely that this was the wrong location. Amie was trying to take in the size and glory of the surrounding landscape, and she was on the verge of exploding from excitement. Both regained their composure at the sight of the group of people standing in front of the lodge, and Winters exited the vehicle to let Lady Jane out, only to find himself face to face with an enormous wolf. Winters felt his hand reach for the concealed gun, but he remembered her ladyship's words and instead adjusted the sleeve of his shirt, nodded a greeting to the beast, and strode to the other side of the car.

"Ladies and Gentlemen," he called, bowing to everyone present. "Presenting the Lady Amethyst Jane, Baroness."

Amie stepped carefully out of the car and presented herself. She caught sight of the wolf as well, but refrained herself from making eye contact. Winters retrieved her sword and handed it to her on bent knee, as he had been trained, and Amie slipped the belt and sword onto her waist in one fluid motion, as she had been trained. Hand on hilt, chin up, and back straightened, both she and her assistant (who had returned to his feet and stood silently beside her) waited for a response.
@duskshine749 Day 1: Sam accidentally burns the Lodge down.
Should we use colored text for our characters? I can use gold for Amie and gray for Winters.

EDIT: Gray isn't an option. I'll leave Winters' text unchanged, since he isn't a major character.

@Raijinslayer just posted an intro post, but doesn't have a CS in the Characters tab. @duskshine749 has a CS in the Characters tab, but no intro post. Little confused here. There are only five people in the Characters, so is Raijin the sixth?

I'm ok with a Discord, but roleplayerguild already has a Discord we can use. Link at the very top of the page.
@BlessedWrath @Raijinslayer So much for people showing up on the bus.
@Raijinslayer Uh...you've been approved, bro. Move your character to the Char tab and post. I'm waiting for everyone's initial post before continuing.
