"I thought you mighta been a zombie... Good to see you're doing okay. You enter the shop and look around, noting hammers. Sweet, you wanted one of those. The cart is perfect, we can secure the entire school like this. And maybe our futures as well... You think ominously, picturing boarding up classroom doors to prevent more potential zombies from spreading. But, you'd want the best survivors in that group... Maybe if we give each class a test of sorts, have them kill each other for survival if they want to get out, and only one or two a class can be picked to leave and survive with us.

"Man there is plenty of useful stuff we can make back here... But what I have is good enough for now, I'm just going to add one thing real quick. Securing the school comes first. You sit down and take the duct tape out of your backpack and use it to tape a hammer to the end of your halberd. There, not it's evenly weighted at both ends, and I can use the other end to kill now. You stow away your supplies and grab a drill as you walk over to Travis. The drill is stored safely inside the cart with the rest of the materials. "Alright Let's leave and secure the school. Don't forget to lock the doors so we can make use of this place later." You exit the shop and enter the hallway.
[Matt]

"Hey Travis, is that you? You call out in a compromise between a hush and a yell. From the other side of the shop door you could make out footsteps and light on the other side. The sounds of hammering and drilling had drawn you to the shop in hopes of finding some of your friends. You stand before the shop door as it slowly opens, your weapon relaxed but at the ready in case a zombie was lurking behind the door.

You wake and sit up. It's too dark to see and your eyes are slow to adjust, so you switch on your flashlight. Which was still taped to your neck in an easy to reach position. Huh, an Irene. When did she get here? I see she finally found herself some nice armor. You rub your eyes and eat a granola bar you found in the health room, then wash it down with a swig of water. Your needs sated for now, you grab your gear and head out immediately, eager to do something, anything helpful. You felt an odd sense of responsibility toward the rest of your classmates, and you wanted to put this feeling to good use before it went away.

You say a quick farewell as you leave the health room and head down toward the art room, where you hope to find Travis and Adam. You can also hear the distant whirring whine of what might be powertools. If those are power tools, then Travis might be in the shop.
[Irene, using Matt's account]

After a decent amount of time, you wake up--and reel from the sudden headache. Your circadian rhythm apparently doesn't allow for naps. Glancing around your surroundings, you notice that the blood is drying on your weapon.
I should probably clean that..
Groggily searching for some disinfectant wipes, you find one and start cleaning the weapon.
I should also make a grip for this, it's kind of awkward to wield. Not to mention get some gloves--I don't want my hands to get dirty.
Wandering around the health room, you finally find where they keep the snacks and a can of ginger ale. You quickly inhale some crackers and down the whole can.
Huh? Lol that's basically the joke.

Okay baaaaaiii!

"Oh, shush, I'm just a little over exuberant right now." Matt walks forward and dispatches the remaining zombie with his knife alone, batting away the zombie's arms and thrusting forward to stab into the zombie's eye. "That was actually pretty easy. Man I kinda wanna kill more now. But, I did also wanna sleep. Ben, watch the door for me or something please, I'm taking a nap. Matt walks into the health room, taking back his knife along the way. He slings his bag into the corner and lays down on a cot, a knife in each hand and the spear within easy reach.
[Matt]

"Tch help me kill them so I can get some sleep then." Matt springs to his feet, switches on his flashlight, and picks up his spear. I need to get better at killing these things anyways." He pushes open the health room door and quit literally charges into combat, spearing the nearest zombie through the ear. He pulls the blade back out swiftly, mindful of getting his weapon caught. The zombie falls to the ground, but two more behind it turn and begin down the short and narrow hallway toward Matt. With a sharp downward swing, Matt lodges the blade deep into the skull of the closer zombie, then pulls the corpse sideways with a grunt, blocking the hallway as it falls. It's path impeded, the second zombie slows as it stumbles against its dead brethren. Matt jerks back the bloody blade and swings it once more, this time sideways. The zombie's swinging arm gets in the way of the blade, but his swing powers through and smashes into the zombie's head regardless, slamming it against the wall. Matt kicks the corpse away to free his weapon and steps forward to kill the next zombie, laughing as he did so. At this rate he was going to block the corridor with bodies. Matt's stab lodges in the zombie's neck, not quite killing it. Matt twists the blade free with a snarl, his hands slipping a bit on the bloody duct tape grip. He stabs forward again, this time striking true and spearing the zombie through both eye sockets. It falls toward him as he pulls the blade free. Matt leans backward in disgust to avoid the dead body. As he pushes the corpse away, another zombie had already navigated the pile of corpses and was making its way down the hallway. Too close to level the spear for a stab, Matt grips the spear near the head and slams the blades downward like and axe, neatly splitting open the head of the fourth zombie. He then pulls back past the health room door, panting slightly. "I killed four of them, not too bad, tag out Ben, you're up now."

"I'm not sure, I guess we can keep moving and control the supplies with a reliable group of survivors to survive. And okay. The more weapons we have the better. "

You finish scavenging for supplies and lay down on a cot in the back of the room. It would actually make for one of the best places to sleep in the school, you realize. You disregard the armor and weapons and supplies you are laying on and just relax for a moment, shutting your eyes and resting. If trouble occurred, you'd hear it, and besides your brother was there too.
[Matt]

"Oh yeah, sure. In fact, I have keys." *jangle jangle*

Damn that is nice weapon. So nice. So so nice.

You find the right key and unlock the health room door, slipping inside. It's dark inside, the lights out. You switch on the light switch, casting the room in swathes of hazy shadow and sharp illumination. You slide your spear behind your back onto the back pack straps and unzip the top of your bag, then rummage through the health room for medical supplies. "I have a bag that we can use to hold the medical supplies we find. Oh, and I've been holed up in the media center with Kate, Irene, and a few others. Me and Irene checked out the cafeteria and front office. There is food in the cafeteria, and plenty, but don't tell anyone since there isn't nearly enough to go around. What have you been up to?" You drop helpful things in your backpack as you find them, including antiseptic, bandages, medical tape, bandages, and random pills you find.

"Hey that bag looks like the one Irene had. Maybe even the one she said she dropped. Where'd you find it?" You ask curiously, wondering if you even want a bat at this point.
[Matt]

"BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Matt waves violently in his brother's direction as he runs toward him.
