Dark Matter’s glaring eyes turned towards Konrad as he spoke. He gave off more empty threats, causing Dark Matter to smirk a bit on the inside. This ignorant man must have thought that death would cause fear in the people he had trapped in this cage. But for Dark, death was the sweetest thing he would ever taste. To die was to be released from this prison, and from the prison of his mutated and disgusting body. He’d considered suicide a number of times. To just give in to weakness and strangle himself. But that was not the death Dark Matter longed for, oh no. He longed to die in a hail of bullets, slicing through the weak flesh of men on the field of battle. That was where he would die, in the place he was born to be. But this was not a battle worth fighting, so Dark Matter took a step back and continued to glare at Konrad as he walked out with one of the new girls.
Then Jason had wandered over towards him and said some nonsense about discussing their issues. When Jason mentioned a plan to escape, Dark Matter only smiled. This smile was not the same fake smile he plastered on when he wished to mimic emotions. No, this was different. The smile had been caused by the amusement of the idea. Escape? From this place? Dark hadn’t expected someone who’d been around for ten years to consider escape even an option. After his first few escape attempts, Dark Matter had deemed the only way to freedom would come from outside help. Whether it be the United Nations busting down the doors and blowing holes into everything that moved, or a rogue Scientist or guard who’d finally grown a conscience. Personally, Dark wanted the former.
Dark Matter turned his head towards the hallway leading to the door to the outside, as he heard it slide open and shut again. When two of the scientists he knew far too well came within his vision, Dark’s eyes flared with rage. Their self proclaimed ‘Father’ was calling them his pets, as per usual. That was the man responsible for this place. He would suffer greatly at the hands of the dark beast. But the girl who stepped out from behind him was the one whom Dark Matter wished to pull apart, limb from limb. She’d caused unbearable pain to each and every one of them. Dark knew they all probably wanted to kill her, except perhaps the little girls and that Adrian boy. They were all too afraid of her to lift a single harsh word against the Angel of Despair. When Angel called Jason out, Dark Matter’s eyes clicked back over to the Father. He hated these people with every fiber of his being. One day…One day they would all die.
But not today.
