Thou shalt not override the Batcat. - The book of Batcat, verse 10, section 9.

Speaking of the team..How long has the team been around? Have any of them met before this (Or possibly could have)? Why am I so dashingly handsome?
Fixed 'im.
Sneaky, ninja man~

...

That's all I have to add to this conversation.
Name: John Banister
Alias: Fallout
Age: 27
Gender: Male

Personality: Due to the nature of his powers, John has been forced to become a careful man. He over analyzes even the most trivial of things, and will never enter a situation without as much knowledge available to him as physically possible. John also has issues trusting people due to his past, as well as a very poor outlook on life. A side effect of John’s powers is a hit on his emotions. He is rather, for lack of a better word, sensitive. John rarely reveals the fact that he even feels at all, though. He believes that making himself vulnerable to even his team would soil the image he has created as a hero.

Powers: The user can manipulate subatomic particles to generate and manipulate toxic radioactivity. Applicant of these powers include but are not limited to: energy attacks using radiation, heat generation, nuclear explosion inducement, radiation Absorption, Radiation Generation, Radiation Immunity.
Of these, John has only really mastered energy attacks. John has forbid himself from using the majority of his abilities, deeming them unsafe for the populace.

Equipment: Highly advanced suit of armor that keeps John’s radiation kept locked inside until John willing lets it out, usually in the form of an energy blast. To help in aiming these deadly radiation blasts, John’s armor has a gun barrel attached to the top of his right arm.

Other: John never removes his armor, due to his powers.

Appearance: John’s armor stands at 7’2 ft tall and weighs 600 lbs.

History: John was born in southern Russia to two full-blood Russians. He had many brothers and sisters, and was one of the middle children. Life in the small town he had been born in was rather dull, and John was just an average child. Until one day he was taken. Soldiers in unmarked uniforms had come into the town and begun to test everyone under the age of twelve’s blood. No one knew what they were doing. The only thing anyone knew was that these men would shoot if you asked too many questions, and they seemed to be backed by the local police. When one of the men had tested John, he had turned out positive. He had been the only positive in the entire town. The soldiers dragged John away from the town, and the last thing the little Banister saw of his town was the puff of a far away mushroom cloud as all evidence had been destroyed. John was listed dead, along with everyone else from that little, unknown town.

The frightened little boy was brought to a facility in Siberia, where he spent the rest of his childhood and part of his adult life being used as a human guinea pig. The Russian scientists had performed the most excruciating experiments on John imaginable. John didn’t think things could get any worse, until he learned that all the tests they had been doing on him were just to prepare his body for the worst experiment yet. Somehow, the scientists had turned the Russian boy into some kind of walking nuclear weapon. The experiment was more or less a success, and John was turned into a living Weapon of Mass Destruction. However, there were side effects to the immense power. Apparently John’s body was extremely toxic, and anyone near the boy not wearing a hazmat suit would usually drop dead in minutes, if not seconds. Because of this set back, the scientists were forced to create a mobile containment unit for John.

What the scientists did not predict, however, was John’s ability to control the radiation. Banister was able to manipulate the energy and turn its excess into a projectile of pure energy. John hid this power from the Russians until they had given him the suit. The Russian lab rat used his new found power to escape the facility, and eventually to escape to Alaska. In Alaska, John began to master his powers further. The escapee learned on his escapade through Alaska and Canada that this new body, while mostly a curse, kept John sustained. He did not need things like food, water, or oxygen. Once in the United States, John began to use his powers to help others. The first few years of heroism were rather rough for the Russian. He didn’t know much English at all, and his powers caused quite a lot of collateral damage. Despite his failures, John was passionate about helping other people with his destructive powers, and continued to hone them to a point where he no longer destroyed random cars or put holes in large buildings.

With the help of the rest of the super hero community, John learned to speak English relatively well and mastered his powers even further. His newly found powerful friends were how John first heard of a Guild that was forming, where people like him could make a real difference. John left the Northern part of Michigan and headed over to Bay City, where he met the other Guilders and joined the team.
Ermehgerd bro.

Make your mentor some kind of Cat werewolf and you can like, fight off some known DC super villain. Something. ANYTHING.

Or you can have Animal Man as your mentor, and you can help the earth by picking up garbage off the beach. c:

@ Rumi: I don't know =P Out of all the years I spent watching Justice League, Teen Titans, ect, I never asked where they got their funding from. I honestly don't think it's going to effect the story much. @ Card: Go for it.

I'unno. If the funding came from, say, the government, it could create an interesting dynamic. (Such as the government threatening to close them down if they screw something up royally)
Merg.

Logic, my worse enemy.
Batcat's pretty cute..

But this changes nothing. I demand equality! *Marches around the thread with a sign*
His is acids.

I was thinking more..Diseases. Ya know, taking away (Or giving) cancer..or the cold..or chicken pox..

Hrm. Now that I think about it, this is a very odd superpower. Back to the drawing board.
