There's definitely things to do instead of crying or feeling victimized. You could calmly digest the nice advices people gave you 14 hours ago, for example.

Seriously, pineapples are, like, miracle fruits. Pineapple jelly? Yum. Pineapple juice? Ooooh. Pineapple cake? Yesss. Pineapple cookie? Godly! Pineapple salad? Ambrosia. Pineapple pizza? The best pizza there is, fight me. Got nothing to do with pens though, so I wonder what that one Japanese guy was all about...

Now on to actual info:
1. I love pineapples

FIRST DAY OF CLASSES

Save for the particular event in the morning, the first actual day of school turned out to be rather devoid of event for Eun-Ji. She woke up early at dawn as she often did, although the event in the morning caused her to skip her internal martial arts practice; it had weighted too heavily in her mind, so much that she were very quiet and seemingly absentminded all through breakfast and during the short travel to the Academy. In reality, she was not so much as being absentminded as she was being deep in her own thoughts. As she reached the first class, she had fully sorted out her thoughts and returned more to her usual behavior. What she needed to do was clear. She had resolved in that she needed to start gathering information on how to destroy those... dangerous unnatural things.

It was quite funny, how a few days in Ersand'Enise had managed to give her more personal missions (two) than the last few years of her life (zero).

As for the classes themselves, they had been "normal" for Eun-Ji, for a lack of a better word. Eun-Ji had no trouble in Sensing & Drawing, having already been trained to an adept level in all the sequences of the process of spellcasting. She remained fully neutral and humble throughout the class, with a concealed eagerness to improve. The Avincian class had been interesting enough. While she was already fluent in Avincian, the practical lesson in the form of the word game had been anything but boring. The lunch that came after the lesson was not particularly eventful as well. A pair of fellow students of Tan Keoulian descent had approached her, taking their seats near her. She was wary at first, but soon relaxed and politely appreciated the company after being sure that the pair were really just normal students and not fellow emperor's agents; they weren't even from Tan Keoul even if they were of Tan Keoulian heritage.

Born-on-Solstice's Arcane Magic class after lunch was pleasantly held outdoors much to Eun-Ji's liking, while Jurgen Mendenhoffer's Kinetic Magic class after that had caused Eun-Ji to default to her military disciplines due to her being indeed actually a soldier. In both of these classes, she didn't learn much on this first day. But then again, it was indeed only the first day. And all the same, she displayed a kind of muted eagerness to learn and improve in the lessons.

Jurgen Mendenhoffer's class had been the last for the day. Eun-Ji left the Academy without much ceremony after that, quickly heading by herself to the Merchants' Quarter to procure some supplies; mostly dried non-perishable foodstuffs and also some inks, parchments, and a few books that she believed will be able to give her clues, any clues at all, in understanding Blood Magic and Aberrations.

Afterwards, she had been mostly cooped up in her room in the Castle, fully focused on reading the books she had bought and writing down whatever useful information she managed to gain through the books. It was not until dinner time that she emerged out of her room and much to her surprise, she found that an impromptu party had somehow started in the mess hall. It was... most definitely not her kind of environment. She did noticed that the man who had given her the rose the other day, Leon Solaire, was seemingly being the heart of the party. Regardless, she tried her best to steer clear from the rowdiness, instead picking up her meal and a glass of water before finding the quietest corner possible in the mess hall to eat by herself.

Hospital Bonding

Sometime later, inside the Jefferson Hospital...

One way or another, the group managed to reach the hospital. It turned out that saying "the magic words" really worked wonder for the battered new heroes. It was essentially a lie, as none of them were affiliated in any way with the League. But they did technically defeat Thunder Cloud, foiled his heist, and effectively took out all of the villain's Storm Troopers as well so who can possibly argue that they didn't rightfully earn the treatments they received in the hospital? If anything, they deserved even more than just free treatments; considering the current situations, it seemed likely that they were the only super heroes left around and they already lost one potential member no thanks to Thunder Cloud.

Well, at least the treatments they received were pretty much the best available indeed, so it's also not like they were unappreciated for their efforts. Broken bones, bruises, internal and external wounds, all treated to the best of what the hospital can afford to give. Of course, some of them suffered damage way worse than some of the others and will take more time to fully recover... But they will recover, the hospital promised them that much. And so there they were, five strangers turned fire-forged allies. They were pretty much treated as VIPs in a way, considering the room they were assigned to was pretty big and comfortable, with further assurances that they just need to call a staff member if they needed anything more.

The skull-faced shadow ghost person wasn't there with them anymore though. No, because in its place was a young 100% normal-human-looking woman wearing simple ribbed grey sweater and long black skirt, sitting on one side of her bed. She was really one of the luckier ones, coming out of the fight with only one or two minor bruises. Definitely no need to wear a hospital gown, and she could've even decided not to stay the night in the hospital if she wanted to. In the end, she decided to stay for two reasons. For one, while she might not be in a bad shape, she's still pretty much exhausted and didn't feel like taking the journey home. The second was her curiosity towards these fellow "heroes" that had fought Thunder Cloud together with her.

As for why she didn't bother staying in her Shadow Form... Well, in Rosaria's mind, there really wasn't much point in maintaining the form anymore. It would possibly make things more awkward for everyone in the room anyway, considering they all definitely needed to talk to each other... Or at least, that was the plan. Rosaria ended up just observing the others in silence for a while. The joke-spouting heroine was still out cold, but the rest were awake. Looking at all of them like this, it really didn't looked like they were super-powered individuals at all. All of them, including Rosaria herself, looked just like ordinary people. It was a funny feeling. Back when there were many of the supers, she were not one of them, and had wondered from time to time what life was like for a super. Was it like this for them too? Aside from the super powers and all... It doesn't feel any less or more mundane. Heh...

Anyways... No point being silent like this I guess. With that thought in mind, she turned her gaze towards each of the other heroes again. She let out a sigh before then starting to speak. "Alright. So... I suppose introductions are in order and all that... I'm Rosaria Voronin..." Then she paused for a few seconds, wondering what more to say. An idea hit her soon enough. They're all super-powered individuals after all so the best way to add to the introduction would be... "And I uhh... Can turn shadowy. With a skull for a face... Somehow."

Soon after, the group decided that the time for lunch was over. To the misfortune of Valeriya and Hana, which ended up becoming involved with the entire thing. Ryuuko, on the other hand, was just happy that they've finally left the Japanese restaurant. As for her role in this mismatched group of Polymaths, she had decided to continue "escorting" Jeanne, leaving the investigation of the scene of the shooting and the identity of the Man-bat to the others for now. Along the way, she had noticed and had summarily ignored the whispers and gazes that were directed at Jeanne, Nazca, and herself. She's no stranger to having bad cred, considering most of Japan already saw her in a negative light. The thought brought a small smirk to her face. They'll all see who will have the last laugh.

Upon arrival to the Incan-style apartments where Jeanne and Nazca were assigned to, Ryuuko nodded in approval, while also feeling a little bit of envy about it. Would've been a way better place to be assigned to, this. Rather than a dang ryokan... Haaa... She let out a sigh and shook her head briefly. Oh well, at least my roommate's awesome. A saving grace, really. As for the swimming pool and the students currently making good use of it, Ryuuko deliberately paid little attention to them. She'd normally enjoy a good swim at a pool, but at the moment the swimming pool somehow reminded her of "seaweed" and "musty odor" due to what happened to her room back in the ryokan. She really didn't feel like thinking about it. At all.

Soon enough, they arrived to the living room of Jeanne's suite. Nazca will be returning to her own suite, and despite some brief hesitation, Ryuuko still managed a small smile and a "Good luck with the photos, Ms. Whitehall. See you around." She had also exchanged her contact info with Nazca (also with some brief hesitation) and the others earlier after Nazca suggested it back in the restaurant. As for Jeanne's mention of wanting to bath alone, Ryuuko replied with a simple "Oh yeah, sure thing. I'll wait here then. Enjoy your bath, Jeanne!" For a moment there, she amusingly misheard Jeanne's word. It almost sounded like "bathing along", which made Ryuuko had to suppress a surprised flinch. Haha, silly me. Of course that's not what she said! She then took a seat to wait until Jeanne finish her bathing.

... Sitting had lasted approximately a minute however, and she soon became quite bored. Thus, she started looking around nosily instead, walking all over the place to see what's in the living room.

They managed to did it after all. Despite this being their first battle together as a party, they've actually taken down and killed a dragon. A young one, yes, but a dragon nonetheless. Most adventuring parties would be ecstatic and more than a little prideful of the fact, and it can be said that it was a well-deserved bragging right indeed.

Anki didn't feel such a thing. She was just glad that they've all managed to get through it. On the other hand, she didn't feel any guilt or remorse either. Killing the dragon, after all, was self-defense. She took one last brief look at the fallen dragon, and then turned around and focused her gaze at her party members instead to assess their conditions. Among them, Srikandi and Fei were both wounded, with Fei actually falling over although Anki noticed that it seemed more out of exhaustion than pain. After a brief consideration, Anki knew what her next task was.

She walked over to Srikandi as the dragon knight mentioned that the party should go on ahead without her. "No, that will not do, Ms. Srikandi. You're wounded, and I cannot in good conscience leave you behind. Besides, there is no need for such a course of action..." Anki briefly checked something, trying to gather some mana from the surrounding into her left palm. She soon found that the amount of available mana were still thinned, and her efficacy at condensing them was still reduced after the rapid firing she did during the battle, but a form of standard healing spell should still be within her capability to cast. "I will heal you first as your wound seemed the most significant among us. Then, I will also see to Mr. Fei. Please stand still." She began condensing the mana into her left hand, preparing the healing spell. "This will sting a bit, my apologies. And it will take a few minutes until the spell is finished. Healing Touch." Then she cast the spell as she laid her hand on Srikandi's stomach. Almost immediately, slowly and surely, the damage were starting to be healed. She continued channeling the spell for a few minutes as she had already mentioned, and by the end of it, Srikandi will find that most of the damage had been healed and the pain had subsided.
