Phase One: Alyssa comes from ignoble blood. Lawbreakers and heretics taint her magical bloodline. From a more mundane perspective she was born the only child of a pair of kind -if clueless- parents, and grew up with a middle class lifestyle. The dissonance between her mortal life, and her magical lineage has left her confused and unable to secure the formal training required to join the ranks of the White Council.
Phase Aspect: Monsterous Expectations
Phase Two: Alyssa's talent manifested just before she started college. Strange phenomena kept occuring around her, and she couldn't seem to get her once trusted laptop or phone to work. Research afforded her a small understanding of what she was becoming, and just as her parents were beginning to worry she vanished. A bigger city might have someone who could teach her, and the farther she got from her parents the less danger she'd be to them.

Phase Three: Philadelphia wasn't exactly what she'd hoped for, while it was rife with magical phenomena her hunt for someone to apprentice herself to bore no real fruit. She did however make friends, and a few enemies. Eventually a mysterious package arrived at the small apartment she'd been staying at, inside she found the resources she'd need to finish her own training. It's been slow going, attempting to master things she'd never dreamed of by herself, but what other choices does she have?
