I think that going to war just because of "getting more lands" or something like that is just dumb. We are roleplaying after all, not playing Victoria 2 or Hearts of Iron 3. We are supposed to tell a story about our nations, not go to war with each other after finishing a THIRD WORLD WAR.

We could do a second Cold War between Britain and other countries not affected by the Third World War. Instead of a Fourth World War. If this nation roleplay is going to turn into a Fallout-based nation roleplay, then I will be disappointed with you guys.

It's stylized as a crusade against Islamic extremism. Still, you have a point. This serves more use as a crisis to provoke international discussion than an actual war. I would recommend declaring by executive GM order that this war can't go nuclear, @MetalLover. In future, sure, but a nuclear war right out the gate is a bit silly.

I'm officially co-GM but I believe a decision of that importance isn't mine to make.

Good point. I suppose any good weapons system needs to be tested in both extreme cold and irradiated extreme heat.

EDIT: I also feel like being that one nation at the South Pole that isn't even on the map is making people forget I'm here. Maybe taking the barren and irradiated remains of yet another continent will help with that.

I want to ally with you so I can get mega science, so that's how I remember you
Loons and morons operating this RP as a grand strategy game, so I figured I'd pipe in with a pointedly timed and worded call for sanity.

Probably my favorite post so far.

I've got this bad feeling that the IC will eventually just turn into a world war between people who think that the war makes sense and people who think it's going to kill the roleplay. Have we forgotten about the whole "Roleplaying" thing? I mean, the point here is to PLAY a ROLE, right?

Keyguyperson for GM 2015.

You are an experienced Rp GM it seems, have you ever had a problem like this happen in one of your sci-fi rps, and how in the name of God did you fix it.

I had a sci-fi RP like this, but thankfully there was one nation so powerful that if any other nations stepped over the line too far they would be eliminated. And that one nation didn't abuse his power (too much).

<Snipped quote by MetalLover>

Most of my roleplays have been character-driven, which tends to just erase the problem of "LOL I NUKE U U DED LOL". That said, it did happen once. It tends to be a death sentence if it's not the sole purpose of an RP. Of course, I'm a terrible GM, so you might be able to avoid that effortlessly.

If my opinion matters, I say we just let it happen. Nukes away. The rest of the roleplay for them will probably have a storyline similar to Fallout, though. Trying to put the pieces of civilization back together. It could be an interesting chain of events.

Anyway..
Gray warden, if you're going to take back Vietnam, we gonna have to work out some history as to why they would join France and not china.

Just a shout-out that Greater Russia is probably one of the main counterpoints to Chinese power (besides the nuke-crazed USAE) so we'd be open to an alliance if you come to the conclusion that your Southeast Asian colonies are under threat by them.
Well, post is well underway at around 5,000 characters. I expect it will portray Babur in a rather bad light and showcase the Ajdar's insanity.

It may come tomorrow if I try to lump in some stuff about the Zanjir, which I probably should.

It couldn't make me perceive your country as any more insane than I already do, don't worry

Look we just don't want the whole of North America being controlled by the fascists.

So in order to fight the influence of fascism, you become fascist yourselves.

Hmmm. Something's odd about that, but I can't quite tell.

Reminds me of a Nation now adays. You know, typically known as the Mother Land and such.

Oy. In the real world, yes. I'll have you know that the Soviet Empire is a constitutional monarchy, however.
<Snipped quote by Mihndar>

Um... the commonwealth is a "democracy" it's just been halted for the time being so no fascists or commies or other parties take over.

A democracy where martial law prevails is hardly a democracy at all, is it?
The world is fascists and empires. Basically.

I think the only democracies are South America and the GEC and the only constitutional monarchies are Greater Russia and Britain. And we're still empires, just a slightly more democratic ones.
The Cindorayi Republic, Population: 174, Year 24 IL, Age of the Quarter Moon

The southern Brutes slowly nod, taking in the information. It is a foreign practice that does not make much sense to them but they find it intriguing. Hof gets the attention of Sonya and then says in the Brute language: "Chief?", then puffs his chest out and pretends to call out orders. He is asking if there is a chief and if the Brutes can see him.

"Ekatyrina," she says, nodding in response. She noted behind them the party from the main village that has recently arrived, and called her name, louder this time.

Ekatyrina padded quickly forward away from the few guards she brought with her, and spoke quickly with Sonya for a few moments to find out the situation. She then turned to the Snow Brutes and smiled, and bowed slightly as a gesture of respect. She called the others over, and they joined the small crowd which had formed behind Ekatyrina and Sonya.

"You?" she asked the Snow Brutes. "Your 'chief'?"

A naval presence in the Black and Caspian Seas could also work for deterrence

I have offered to Milkman to use my Black Sea fleet for that purpose if he lets me through the Strait of Gallipoli and the Suez. And I offered to you that we coordinate our fleets for defense.

I don't think anyone has ever actually had a navy in the Caspian. It's just too small.
