Act two of the original three is done. It is about 100 pages and 23k words. I'll be merging the first two acts into one and the book will end up being about twice as long as originally projected.

Act 1 of 3 is done. It’s about 100 pages and 23k words and has a prelude, 8 chapters, and an interlude. I’m looking at 100k words as an approximate goal.

Bio

Thrawn: "I have read about the nightswan. Have you?"

Nightswan: "You refer to the fact that it sings only as night is falling?"

Thrawn: "Yes. You do not expect your stand to succeed, do you?"

Nightswan: "I know that it won't succeed."

Thrawn: "That does not necessarily mean the end. I can give orders for you to be taken unharmed."

Nightswan: "They will be ignored. Half the troops here are Batonn Defense and Restos is determined to get rid of me."

Thrawn: "Then come with me now!"

Nightswan: "A man must do what he must, Admiral Thrawn. Even if his stand is against the fall of eternal night."

@Animal that sounds about right xD
@Polaris North As Animal said, your super speed would be helpful to save most from the area attack the monster launched before my last post
@Polaris North Since the claw attacked Fast Forward, to my knowledge, we "defeated" the monster's first form and it turned into a large crab monster. Then my post. Do you need more specifics?
@Polaris North If you need me to change anything in my post to fit with yours just tell me.

It didn't take much in the way of effort for him to dodge the attack. Once he had, he proceeded to hover above the burning street by several meters, his coat billowing behind him as the winds began to pick up speed and intensify. His arms were outstretched in a grand gesture.

Geoff was certain that the universe did not understand that it was just after noon and he had to teach a class at one pm. This would not work with his schedule. He had to get back to City A, pick up lunch and prepare to teach for an hour. But, this monster decided to up the ante… No more holding back…

Ventus wasn't far from the monster. It's transformation into a significantly larger and more ugly crab didn't phase Ventus. He focused the air around it and condensed it. It's time to finish this… I need to get back to my day..! He could feel the heat being emitted from the area around the crab as it began to glow and pressure waves began to surge through the air and along the ground for, about, a block all around the monster. Bits of rubble and garbage were being blown away. The flames from the monster's initial attack were long gone.

“You think giving me a larger target would be beneficial to you?” His voice was angry. But more like a teacher to a disappointing student. “Allow me to bring you back down to Earth.” The pressure on the monster increased tenfold and the ground beneath it began to crack and shake under the strain. A nearby trashcan began to melt.
@Animal I'll see about something before I go to sleep
@Animal I'm gonna let you post before I make Geoff do something.
Savant

Savant could tell the penguin was about to attack. He also moved slightly to mimic the motion the moment it had been performed. There was one problem. He could feel the danger… He glanced back, just as the motion had halted to see what was quite possibly the largest blade he’d ever seen and immediately knew who had just arrived. He leaned back just in time to see his own reflection in the blade as it passed in front of his face. He saw a lock of his blond hair fall as the steel passed.

The penguin was sent out of Savant’s sight momentarily as he processed what had just happened. The Guardian had just used Dread Lock and himself as a distraction for the monster in order to launch a, rather effective, sneak attack. Logged… I’ll make sure to use that tactic on a later date…

"You alright there Savant? Didn’t graze you did I?"

“Not at all!” He said, his hand on the back of his head in a ‘no problem’ gesture, the other accepting the other hero's hand. The Guardian. Class S Hero, Rank 4… His physical abilities will certainly be useful in this fight… The association wouldn’t raise the threat level to Demon for no reason…

In response to the higher-ranking hero’s second question, “I heard over the radio, while I was at the shelter helping, that City S has Ventus and several other heros. City K has Collider, though they have likely received more help since then.” He turned his head to see that the penguin had been stuck to the side of a building several blocks away.
