Miko came from a small family of 4. His Mom and Dad worked in an apothecary and that is where Miko learned how to mix and create various substances using magick he learned from his parents. However, one day while he was helping his dad prepare a special medicine for mentally ill people. They made a miscalculation and it created a small explosion releasing a foul gas in the air. Miko's dad was able to protect himself but poor Miko was engulfed in that putrid cloud. After it had dissipated Miko just sat there staring at his dad. Both parents inspected Miko, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. A few days after the accident, Miko started hearing a voice in his head, telling him dark and dreadful things. It wasn't loud at first nor dominating, but after a week or so; that voice eventually developed a personality and later on that personality manifested itself while Miko was sleeping. Subjecting Miko's true conscience to a bound state, while his alter ego was able to take control of his body during the night, and studied about the more dark side of alchemy and it's magick.
Long story short, Miko's parents finally figured out what was going on and sought help from anyone they knew. They couldn't cure him and one day, he just ran from home. Far, far away as he possibly could. He traveled on his own aimlessly for about a month or so, stealing from unwary people using sleeping spells and other various dastardly vile spells, until one day he came upon the city of Grandell. It was there that Miko found the Guild "Blue Rose" and accidentally ran into the guildmaster himself.

Miko has learned how to stay in control of his dual personality, but there are times when the other breaks free. The guildmaster knows that the only way Miko can obtain true peace of mind is if he can learn how to cope with his darker side.
