That's a surprising interpretation, friend. Is that how they play him in the new CG ones? I didn't like the redesigns, so I haven't watched them.

In the versions I watched- or read, in the comic's case- the character had some key differences. Great Britain was a washed-up old drunk who threw away the only woman who ever cared about him, was hated by basically everyone who knew him pre-modification, and to my knowledge was never involved with any branch of intelligence. In most stories he was basically just the comic relief and tended to get steamrolled anytime he entered a straight fight. In some versions, he also retained the same face/mass when he shapeshifted, but that's relatively inconsistent even within singular series so I can understand if you hadn't picked up on it.

Your comment about wasted potential was helpful, though. I had thought 007's ability to create relevant equipment was actually a little too strong, but you've put my mind at ease. Thanks, friend!
But it is different?

Are we talking about what music we like still? Recently, I've been into Elephant Gym.
Oh gosh, I loved the Cell Saga! Count me in too, okay?
Friends, I am sorry to say that only one or two people have shown enough interest in this game to actually send me a submission of any kind. I don't know if it's that people don't like Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine, or that people don't like One Piece, but nobody seems to show any particular interest so I'm declaring this game dead on arrival.

I wish you all luck with future games, and a happy new years!
Oh, and just so everyone's aware I'm actually taking PM submissions currently so feel free to send them over.
It seems silly to move to a proper OOC right now, since at the point we're at it'd be exactly the same OP and little else.
Ah, I forgot to mention it since I had this whole example CS thing that explained it but I didn't want people to get the wrong idea and think it was an actual GMPC.
When making your character, make sure to give each skill a sentence or to of description explaining what it actually does/what it pertains to, okay? I think that'd be ideal.
Wealth, fame, power... Gol D. Roger, the king of the pirates, obtained this and everything else the world had to offer and his dying words drove countless souls to the seas.

"You want my treasure? You can have it! I left everything I gathered together in one piece! Now you just have to find it!"

These words lured men to the Grand Line in pursuit of dreams greater than they've ever dared to imagine! This is the time known as the 'Great Pirate Era'!

For nearly a year, the meteoric rise of a small band known as the Straw Hats threw the power balance of the world into chaos until suddenly vanishing in a marine raid. The damage, however, remains- the ranks of the Seven Warlords and the Marines have been thrown into chaos, notorious criminals from Impel Down's darkest depths prowl the seas, and Blackbeard rises to power as one of the most dangerous men in the world...

...In other words, the perfect time for some up-and-coming pirates in the making to hit it big!

For reasons of your own: A childhood promise, a long-held ambition, an elaborate revenge scheme or maybe just an insatiable desire for money and women. Whatever your reasons, you've decided to sign on with the crew of one Dudley Evory on an adventure to find treasure beyond your wildest dreams!

@Scrapula
Sounds super neat! Let's talk scenarios over PM, okay?
@Pleek
Your 2-point Bond doesn't have to be related to your Arc! Your Affliction does, since the rank of your Affliction matches the rank of your Arc Trait (both start at 0).
@Scarescrow
>is XP used to level up our character like in the DnD?
Nope! XP is used to complete Quests, which are like little punchcard dealies that give you a specific reward (or "perk") upon completion. Completing Quests also puts XP towards your Arc, which is like a meta-Quest that shows your character's overall progression!
>can normal skill be upgraded as we complete a chapter or books?
Nope! Skill upgrades are a perk selection specific to your character's Arc, but the rules are so absurdly, needlessly complex that it's easier to just explain on a case-by-case basis after figuring out how someone wants their character to progress! Chapters and Books relate primarily to wound recovery, Issues, and MP expenditure.
