All I meant is that if everyone's for it it's an option to try. If the general consensus is to play stat-less that's perfectly fine since I'm already co-GM'ing a heavily stat-based RP right now.
I wish my brother hadn't gotten rid of his spreadsheet, but if any of you remember the FE tabletop RP that was running on this site a few weeks ago my brother Light had a beautiful system that near-perfectly recreated Awakening's engine with extra classes and re-balanced classes/skills. Then we'd be able to have a perfect stat-based RP. I can see the need for a stat-based RP anyway, but perhaps we could make this stat-less and focus on the story more? I'm fine with either way, and in the event we do stats I'm sure my bro can pass on some of his engine knowledge to me so we can figure things out more easily.

Looks good, I'm liking all of the diverse and interesting characters! And so everyone knows, at the pace Light and I are working we should be ready to set up your characters' stats by tomorrow.

In other news, skills are coming along well. Hopefully we'll be ready to start assigning skills to characters by tonight/early tomorrow.

Alright, then... so, how humanoid are we talking here? As in, something along the lines of star-trek aliens, or something more like as long as it has two arms, two legs, and a generally human shape, it's fine?


Think along the lines of Human (not just humanoid), but with having some physical mutation such as wings or an abnormally shaped arm, horns, etc.
We're just about done, skills and spells take a bit and we'll still be adding some as we go along. We just want to have a decent amount of them to choose from so you guys can get closer to the character you want.
Whisket, your character sounds fine so far. Once we get skills and spells going we can work to finalize your character.
As in, perhaps rather than starting with a huge fireball that hits multiple targets as a spell, think about how a more basic spell may have evolved into it and start with that one instead. Same with equipment, maybe you want to be able to wield a huge lance and tower shield, but since that'd be a bit hard to wield at low levels start with a standard size shield and lance combo with the large ones as a goal to reach. I know it's hard to understand what I mean, but once I get the skills system done it will make a lot more sense. I want you guys to be able to be creative, but I also have to exercise my judgement to make sure people don't start overpowered.
They don't have to be removed completely. You can if you want to, but I would at least save the ideas in your head for the future. I can help you implement them into your character's future.

A rule of thumb for creating characters, it's alright to have ideas but try to be conservative with what your Lv. 1 character begins with.
