It's all right! It happens :)
Ruben awoke very early that morning to the ringing of the bell. "All hands on deck! It's a big fuckin' storm!" He heard one of them call, and he could feel the jolting of the ship. He leapt up onto his feet, no time to get dressed. He merely pulled on a pair of pants and made his way out, pushing his way through on the ship. The ground was slick with a mix of rain and sea water, the winds were heavy, and a majority of the crew were running around in a helpless panic. He began bellowing orders, and they seemed to calm in a sense of duty, doing as he ordered. He took to the wheel, his grip tight as he tried to steer his beloved ship through the stormy waters.
No problem! That's exciting :)
Yvette laughed lightly at his comment and shook her head. "I don't believe that's possible." She stated with a grin. She looked to her menu. "Sushi does sound good. I think I may get some, too." She noted and closed her menu, setting it off to the side. When the waiter came for their drinks, she merely ordered a water. She looked to Jackson and thought to herself how nice it was to be able to actually hear him without the blaring music, and see him without the flashing lights. He was even more beautiful than she'd originally thought, which was quite an accomplishment considering how attracted to him she was before.
Yvette scanned her menu, trying to decide what to get. "What are you getting?" She asked. Everything sounded amazing at that time, and she couldn't pick out which sounded the best. She brushed her hair behind her shoulder, as it kept getting in her way. "Do you come here a lot?" She smiled to him.
"Circumstances can be tough. Sometimes actions we believe 'r the best at the time prove to make things worse fer the future." Ruben explained, "I don't know 'ow much ya took of me treasure, lassie. I don't know just how much you hate me, though I don't doubt it's a lot. But I do know that yer part of me crew now. And unless you want to make it miserable fer yerself, ya best take care o' yerself. I'm not gonna harm ya anymore unless ya disrespect me again. I know you're a sassy lass, 'n I like that about ya. So let's move on forwerd and why don't ya try to have a good time, Claire?" Ruben patted her shoulder before making his way back into the cabin for some more food. He hoped she'd take his words into consideration, but there was really no way to make her think twice about it, and that frustrated him slightly.
Yvette climbed into the car once he opened the door, and she grinned, looking around. She hadn't been able to appreciate it last time, but it was a very nice car. Once they arrived, she climbed out and took his arm. "Let's." She smiled. She looked around the lovely restaurant and grinned. "I've never been here before." She noted as they waited to be seated. The restaurant was very large and beautiful, and Yvette got to wondering why she'd never been there before. Probably because it seems so expensive, she thought to herself.
Ruben sighed, looking up at the sky. "Think of it this way, dear," He began, trying to figure out how to put his thoughts into words, "The first night we met, you were stealing me treasure. Then you took a sword and stabbed it threw one of me mateys hearts before anyone said a word. You still 'aven't given me explanation as to why you'd been takin' it. I asked where it was, and ya spat in my face. I'm not sayin' I'm an angel 'ere, but you've got your violent streak, too."
Yvette looked at his hand and felt the blood rushing to her cheeks. "That wounds wonderful. I love Thai food." She grinned to him. She put her hand in his, and was shocked at how cold it was. Cold hands, warm heart! she reminded herself, biting back a short chuckle at the corniness of the thought. She stood up, ready to follow his lead when he was ready.
All right! NP :)
