Ayyy if anyone wants to be a part of Alyssa's friend group then go ahead and insert yourself right in there.
Marcus Doan did not like the idea of this project one bit. It just seemed annoying and like a waste of time. He was so annoyed that he barely caught himself writing down a swear word on the official project sheet. He just scratched it out, which didn't help make it look any more professional, but he couldn't care less. As long as he passed, he was going to do the least amount of work and effort possible. It would mean much less stress on him, something he wanted for his last year in high school.

When he finished filling out the sheet, he turned it in and immediately headed off to lunch once the period bell rang. Once he got his food, he mentally debated over whether to sit with his (loud) friends or opt for a more quiet and peaceful lunch at the gym bleachers. Bleachers won. A couple minutes later, he found himself sitting at said bleachers. As he ate his lunch, his mind drifted back to the English project. Overall, he thought it was dumb. He wondered though what kind of partner he'd get. He never really talked with other kids outside of his group of friends, and though he considered himself chill and easygoing, there was something about being forced to talk to someone he'd never met before, that kind of intimidated him.

He hoped his partner wasn't a total dick, at the very least.

Alyssa Gabin fared a bit better attitude-wise. Though she was a bit skeptical that the project would be as amazing as the teachers kept saying it would be, she figured she might as well do her best and try to enjoy the ride. This kind of project was new to her, and she was admittedly intrigued in how this would all play out. She filled out her form as best she could, and turned it in.

Lunch soon came, and she was spending it with her small group of friends. Most were talking about the project they'd all been given, but Alyssa didn't have much to say, and just gave occasional nods during the conversation unless any of it was directed to her, only then would she reply. But again, she really didn't have much to say at all.
Damn, so she was mafia. Good call there Nightmare. I guess this means you're in the clear then too, since you pushed for this lynch, and you wouldn't try to kill your own team.
I've been quiet, but been checking in every day to check for updates. I'm up for a time skip if it means moving this along.
Ah, ok then.

Just as a defence for myself: I'm being tactical. What if the next night the cop or doc dies? That are really important roles if we want to win. And if it happens we got to lynch with our guts anyway. So I suggest we lynch whoever is useless to us anyway to make a start.

That's a fair point. When you put it that way, it makes a bit more sense. Eh...I guess I'll change my vote then. I'll vote for tabby's character as well. God I hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot here, if you're Mafia then I'm pretty much playing into your hand.

Also, a request for whoever is cop, I noticed that Mike73 just wanted you to invest two people for him. I find that suspicious, as this way he is making sure he doesn't get invested. That's why I'm asking of you to invest him instead. I don't care if you invest me afterwards, just make sure he is safe. Also, as I have made some attention to myself last few posts, can the doc please heal me? I don't want to die :(

You're...not helping your case here. You just tried to push both of our stronger allies into not only not investigating you, but also into protecting you. You have to admit that's suspicious. However, you might've just given us an advantage. Even just asking for protection can spook the mafia, so if you're truly not mafia, they likely won't target you now if they're too scared that the doctor will protect you. It's risky, but a good play would be for the doctor to save someone else, since the mafia won't want to risk wasting a kill on you, on the chance you might be protected.

But that's meta as hell and very possibly could backfire horribly. It's just an idea though. The safer play would be to protect you.

As for saying the cop investigating me, fine, go ahead. I understand I've painted somewhat of a target on myself so it would make sense to investigate me. There's nothing I can really say to convince you not to investigate me, and I'd be stupid to tell you not to since that'd be suspicious as hell. Just follow your gut, and investigate who you think has the highest priority first.

Again, I am changing my vote to vote for lynching tabby's character.

Question though. It looks like, even with my vote, we're only going to have a tie with two votes to lynch vs two votes to do nothing. What happens then? Does it force a lynch, or force nothing to happen because of indecision?
I'm not sure what to vote for tbh. There hasn't been enough posts to get a good read on characters, so voting for someone to lynch is basically Russian Roulette at this point. We might get lucky and lynch a killer, or we accidentally kill a good guy. I really don't want to lose a doctor or detective/cop/whatever-they-are. If we do nothing though, then the mafia will kill someone and we lose a good guy anyway, unless we get lucky with a doctor save.

For what I personally think we should do, well, Nightmare and tabby both seem suspicious. tabby has been afk and could be a silent killer, while Nightmare seems to be somewhat aggressive about lynching someone. Though I'm not going to vote to lynch someone since it's too much of a risk atm, I'd like to suggest that the cop/detective investigate one of them in this night phase, and then investigate the other during the next one.

"Those are a beautiful couple of guns," Reid said, giving an approving whistle, "Your set up seems pretty good for a killing spree or two. I like it."

As Red told them of her plan, Reid nodded along, before giving their own input.

"Sounds like a decent enough plan. But uh, I may have been misleading about those bombs. They're not technically bombs...more like, homemade grenades. Not traditional grenades either, the only damaging ones I have just blast shrapnel in every direction, minus an actual fiery explosion. But! With a little bit of on-site tinkering, I can make it so a few can explode manually with the press of a button. And the shredding shrapnel's shorp enough...shrapnel's sharp, bluh, tounge twister. Whatever, it's sharp enough that it'll rip the low level demons to shreds, easily, and even if it doesn't get 'em all, the leftover shrapnel will be all over the ground, so the surviving demons won't be able to make chase without tearing up their feet."

Reid took a deep breath and let it out after all that talking before continuing.

"As for the two problems you have...well, I don't got flares, but I do have smoke grenades, I can use those. Just look for the light grey smoke, it'll look completely different from the black smoke rising from the charred buildings and human remains. Problem number two is a bit more tricky. Maybe you could punch a hole in a building to make a speedy escape. If worst comes to worst, hiding behind a concrete wall should do just fine. Metal shrapnel can't cut through concrete. All that sound good?"
@Araby264

"Awesome, my first taker," Reid grinned, "Smart choice, teaming up with me. Don't worry though, I can pull my weight just fine." They shook her hand, and continued, "Red, huh? It's a pleasure. You can call me Reid. Pretty fitting that the two hunters with similar names are teaming up, right?"

Reid clasped their own hands together after that.

"Right. So. We need a plan. Even from here I can tell we've got a horde of demons just waiting for fresh meat to waltz into town. I've got a grappling gun, some dual action revolvers, tactical bombs, and a bit of wind magic under my belt. Whaddaya got, and how can we use our tools together to survive this mess?"
"So that's where it is then, eh?" Reid asked out loud to no one in particular. They had gotten close enough to the town to make out the figures of demons clinging onto a tower. It was known that demons were attracted to crystals, so it was likely that the crystal the hunters were tasked to retrieve was indeed inside that tower.

So on the plus side, the location of the crystal was already confirmed. But on the negative side, the only reason Reid knew this was because there was a horde of demons guarding it.

"Well shit," Reid sighed, "There's no way I could kill 'em all on my own. I don't even know how much there are, if I had binoculars or something I could probably count 'em out...Damn, why don't I have binoculars? Or a scope? I gotta get one of those when I get back. Oh, I could attach it to my goggles, that'd be functional, and it'd look cool!" They paused. "Wait. Focus. I got a mission to do first."

Reid looked around, seeing that a few of the hunters seemed to be acting cautious. Good. They would be the perfect people to team up with. Soloing this mission would be impossible, working together would be the only way to survive this. Reid needed to get their attention though.

"Alright!" Reid suddenly shouted, loud enough for all the hunters to hear them, "It's time to team up! Who wants to be on my team?"

They were all near enough to the town by this point that a few straggling ravagers in the outskirts might be able to hear them. If Reid had gotten their attention, so be it. If their fellow hunters couldn't handle a couple low level demons, they had no business being out there.
