Short Bio: James is a shut in kid, he's been gaming since he was twelve. Making his career in online matches a five year ride, the announcement of SAO was huge news to him. "Finally a virtual reality RPG!" He stalked the social media pages of Akihiko Kayaba, waiting for beta testing codes. He eventually obtained one and spent the following nights with the Nerve Gear securely fastened to his head.

  This gave him advanced knowledge about the early floors of the game. He knew the fastest ways to level up, the best ways to obtain money and loot, and the most rewarding quests. This gave him an edge over all the other players, something which he was quite proud of. Being so familiar with the game, he was one of the first to notice the log out button missing on the day of the official release of SAO. Confused and a little scared, he began to panic. When Kayaba transported all the players into the Town of Beginnings and told them what he had done, James was very determined to rise to his challenge "I won't die in here, I can't." His first thoughts were those of resistance, he wasn't going to just lay down and die. He immediately began thinking of how he could beat the game. He knew he couldn't do it alone, so he began recruiting capable players to help him clear the floors.

Personality: James is a natural leader and possesses a certain degree of charisma. People seem to be content letting him pave the way for them in most challenges, and he can usually be found at the front of a battle. He's acceptably well mannered and has good control over his emotions. However he has a large fear of letting people down, stemming from his father's abandonment.

Battle Drive
Arthur gains increased attack speed and strength for a little under a minute, granting him the ability to take on foes stronger than himself. Furthermore it allows him a greater ability to go into fights alone.

Call of Valor
Arthur embodies the ideal of hope and strengthens his comrades with a mighty battle cry, causing their attack and defense to multiply 1.25x

Draconian Longsword
This blade is of very fine quality, and it cost a pretty penny. It's among the best weapons available on the first floor.

Armor of the Golden Dragon
This armor was commission by Arthur to identify himself as the leader of his guild. It has superior defensive capabilities and offers excellent protection from attacks. However it slows Arthur down and makes his running speed lower than someone in leather.

The virtual reality simulator strapped to your head is keeping you prisoner inside of an RPG game known as "Sword Art Online" if anyone attempts to remove it your brain will be fried. In addition to that if your character in the game dies your brain will also be fried, The creator of the game has told you and the other players that the only escape from the game is to clear all one hundred floors in the game world. You are apart of the Golden Dragon guild, it was established shortly after the speech given by Akihiko Kayaba; the GM of the MMORPG you are stuck inside. The guild has only one goal, and that is to lead the assault team in clearing all one hundred floors in order to escape the game. You begin your journey on floor one, where the guild is preparing to launch a raid on the floor dungeon and defeat the boss. In order for you to have any chance of success you will have to make sacrifices, people will die and there's nothing you can do about that. You must put aside your fears and objections in order to become one of the most powerful players in the game, and ultimately escape back to reality. 

Aincrad is the game world of Sword Art Online, it consists of one hundred "floors" or areas. There are many quests to complete, Weapons to obtain, and Monsters to slay in this world; but not without risk. If you venture into an area too dangerous for your level your HP could reach zero during battle, and you will die. Not just your character, your actual body. Although the higher floors are dangerous, that doesn't mean you can't go to them. All towns are safe, meaning you cannot kill or be killed within the walls of a settlement. Each floor has it's own dungeons, challenges, quests, treasure, and more.

Each player has an in game level that determines their strength, it's like their ranking among everyone else in SAO. All our characters will be at level five when we begin. You level up by killing things and clearing dungeons, also by completing quests. Generally you'd gain a level after a hard fight or quest, but if you're confused as to when your character should level up feel free to ask me.

In addition to player level there are also player skills, unique abilities that your character has. For example, in the SAO anime Kirito has the dual welding skill. You are allowed to create your own skills that your character can know, they can range from a sword attack to a fireball or even healing. The limit is your imagination.

In the world of Aincrad there are organizations known as guilds. You are a member of one such organization, "The Golden Dragon Guild". The Golden Dragon is one of the very first guilds established in the game, with a small group of members lead by a warrior going by the name of Arthur. It possesses only one objective; to clear every floor in the game. It's one of the few guilds without a uniform, but you are required to wear a badge at all times. The guild is currently heading the battle strategy for the clearance of the first floor, and it's members are regarded as the "commanders" of the assault team. As far as funds go, this guild is among the richest there is. As a result the members can afford the necessary equipment to keep clearing floors. The guild hall is located in the Town of Beginnings, but that is subject to change as more floors are made available.
