Hmm. With Shizuru in the game, it's very tempting to switch to Natsuki =P I actually think I'd have a better time playing her over Mai, now i think on it.

(Assuming Weiss & rogue are alright with it, of course.)
So far I've been enjoying all of the things Silver mentioned. I'm not as engrossed in the game as some others I've been in, and I'm not"feeling" Tash as much as I have other characters, but that's probably because I haven't had chance to get into either properly yet, and that's not the setting's fault. Speaking of setting, I'm only somewhat familiar with the source material, but I feel like you've put enough of your own spin on it, Silver.

I'd be happy with continuing, maybe brainstorming some plot points. I'd also be up for hearing some of your other ideas, Silver.
Name: Mai Tohika

Age:16

Appearance:

Powers and Abilities: When she summons her Elements (four golden rings that hover around her wrists and ankles) she can:
- Produce blasts of fire, either in flamethrower sprays or thinner beams
- Fly/levitate, although not much faster than running speed
- Project a shield (Her Elements are extremely durable too and can ward off blows in a pinch)
- Summon her CHILD, Kagutsuchi

Kagutsuchi is a dragon roughly the size of a small plane, is very tough and can:
- Fly, much faster then she can
- Spit fire blasts that range from thin "lasers" to explosive fireballs

Brief desc.: A friendly and generally cheerful highschool freshman with an impressive work ethic, Mai takes the idea of responsibility seriously. She hates burdening others with her problems and is likely to suffer in silence while she tries to solve them alone, putting on a happy facade for everyone else. At the same time, she works hard to look after those she thinks need help. Sometimes she can take this sisterly instinct a bit too far, though, and has come off as smothering in the past. This sense of responsibility also forces her into conflicts she would rather avoid - she doesn't like violence, but she also hates the idea of doing nothing when she has her powers.

(Kagutsuchi may need to be nerfed a bit ^^;)

I think it would be better not to focus too heavily on explaining the Hime Star. Just a vague girls with powers from a star would be enough. For Hime stuff, I rather focus on the first half with Orphans and SEARS foundation, the battle royale part of HiME would hijack the plot too much.

That sounds good to me, the whole ritual plot really would take over too much.

I'll post a signup when I get time ^^
I'm thinking I'll sign up as Mai from Mai-Hime, considering Rogue of Void has said they'll be playing a Mai-Hime character too, though I'm wondering how we'll work out the whole hime star thing in the shared universe.
Oh, I'd be interested in this too, so long as you don't have too many people already. I'm kind of tossing up between:

* Mai or Mikoto from Mai-Hime
* Someone from Mai-otome (A bit tougher to integrate into a shared setting)
* Someone from MGLN. Maybe Yuuno? I preffer to play characters from post-Strikers times, but they'd also be harder to integrate.
Erin's eyebrows had shot up in surprise as the human pointed straight at her. That was unexpected, to say the least. She shouldn't have been able to see through her magic, unless she was dead or doomed to die... but she didn't get a sense of impending death from the girl.

"Oh! You can see me?" She said, noting the look of fear on the woman's face. She was used to such a reaction, but it never really sat well with her. The dullahan slowly walked down the stairs, trying to look as non-threatening as possible. "I do not live here, I am simply passing through on my travels. My name is Erin, and I am sorry that I frightened you." She said, her voice courteous as she clasped her head in both hands at her waist and bowed politely. Her voice had a similar, if not quite as thick, accent as the red-haired woman, and she quickly raised her head up to chest-height, turning it in her hands to look around. "This place is quite the curiosity! Do people really live here?"
Tash's fire had sliced through one of the troopers, evidently hitting something vital when it violently exploded. The sentinel didn't pull up, flashing right through the enemy pack and our the other side. The Invid formation wavered, some making to break off their approach, some turning to chase after the offending Gamma, leaving them all in poor position to avoid Mino's barrage. Tash's sensors lit up as the bandits blew apart.

"Nice work, Mino." She said, smirking in satisfaction behind her visor as she and the Selachi fell into formation. Her frown returned at Mike's message, however, and she craned her head around to see him dancing with the assault scout. "Need a hand, Mike? Lure him our way, we'll squash him for you."
As the formation of fighters broke up into individual dances, Tash found herself on a head-on course with one of the approaching invid mechas. She fired a burst from her gun pod and broke off, not willing to play a game of chicken with the alien insect. She never knew if she hit him, because another crossed her field o view, spitting fire at an Alpha-beta pair. Tash banked after the new target, chewing at his tail with a sustained burst of fire.

The bandit came apart and spun off into oblivion, and the Tirolian banked away too. Never flying straight, never staying to watch, always assuming someone was gunning for your tail – that was how you survived a dogfight.

In a moment’s calm,s he spotted one of the two human fighters flying with her group making a kill – and seemingly not noticing the bandit closing in behind her. Tash swore and started to shift her plane into battroid mode – she’d never get her nose around to save the human otherwise.

Her efforts weren’t needed, however. She watched as the human made an almost-perfect battroid evasion, destroying the bandit in the process. She raised her eyebrows, impressed, before the human’s voice came over the squadron channels. Her English wasn’t perfect, but she understood smug when she heard it.

The human’s trying to show us up, huh? She thought, frowning, as she shifted back into fighter mode and took off again, angling in on a loose pack of Invid shocktroopers that were trying to brute-force their way through to the capital ships.

“Wex to squadron. Bandits on my one. Engaging, someone cover me.” She said over the radio, voice terse. Regardless of whether someone actually followed her in, she lanced down at the enemy fighters, raking the formation with cannonfire.
Sorry I haven't posted yet, RL is kicking me in the ass ^^;

As for plot ideas... maybe something about the history/origins of the house might be cool at some point, yeah. Maybe a hidden room with the study of the first owner or something.
