As tempting as it probably is to expose a character's ingenuineness outright, I might suggest letting it build and fester to the point that it becomes a shocking event of infidelity once she's outed.

Sorry for the short post, I didn't have much to go on. Everyone sort of showed up and said "Hi" so it was all I could do to get the ball rolling.

Perfect, the kid was talking up her reputation on his own! This was exactly what Banshee had in mind, and she was surprised it was working out so smoothly. "So, these are your friends, Moon? I was right to imagine that they'd be quite tough." She wasn't quite sure where to proceed from there. She needed a way into this group without stooping so low as to ask for it. Maybe if she worded it just right, she could invite herself along. "As the boy said, I'm keeping an eye out for a party worthy of my skills. Only the best can benefit most from what I have to offer." She shot Ares a knowing glance. She could see he was level 5 already, and that was no joke at this early stage. A lot of folks were still traumatized by the situation they were put in and couldn't bring themselves to risk training so readily.

The glint of the gold glittered in Banshee's eyes like a miracle come true! She withdrew her excitement before it could escape her, however. She hadn't been able to scrape up a single piece of gold beyond her starting amount since she had joined, but she wasn't about to admit that. 'What a cheeky little twerp,' she thought, misinterpreting his earnestness as him looking down on her. "Hah! Thanks, but no thanks. I've got piles of my own already," she lied again. "I was so busy collecting it that I didn't bother to play any games. Time is short when you're rich and powerful like me!" She put her thumb to her chest triumphantly and grinned. Bluffing was her forte, even back in the real world. It felt like all she ever did was lie. The more she lied, the more she could believe in those lies herself, and the more she could forget the harsh truths. She shooed his offering away with a wave of her hand, painful as it was to pass up, and decided to focus on the more important matter at hand.

"I've got a few teams vying for my attention, but honestly they've been boring me. I'm looking for a fresh group to work with, would you happen to know anyone? I'm sure with the skill you displayed back there that you must be in the company of some other well-off folks like myself." Normally Banshee would be a bit more cautious with her bluffs, but fooling a kid seemed just so easy to her.

I mean no disrespect! Banshee was designed as a megalomaniac, so she'll tend to look down on others while waiving her own arrogance. It's something she'll need to overcome, and it doesn't necessarily reflect how I feel, so please don't take anything she says to heart. :'D

Banshee had been loitering around the town square all day in utter disgust with herself for her humiliating folly. She could have been off on her own blowing through quests while these chaotic noobs played their silly festival games, but instead she was stuck in the position of finding someone's leg to hang onto while they took all the glory instead. Atrocious! She couldn't bring herself to do it, at least not so immediately. As the day wore by though, so did her obstinance. She'd decided on a new plan of action now, one that would indirectly land her with a party that she could slip into without much embarrassment. All she needed was to pick out another support type to follow. These chipper symbiotes seemed to have the knack for latching onto others that she did not. It made more sense to befriend one person who could befriend many others for her than to try and put together a party on her own. And she had her eye on just the right target.

The username Moon234 zipped around the square as a young blonde checked in at each available booth. While she could tell by his garb that he wasn't one of the more support-focused types, she could also tell by his age and apparent naivety that he would be susceptible to influence and easily lead her toward stronger allies. Just as he appeared to be leaving from the area, she quickly stepped up and caught him by the shoulder. With a forced saccharine grin, she tried to appear 'pleasant' by complimenting him. "That sure was some fine shooting," she lied. 'Would it work?' she thought.

Whew, I fell asleep reading, woke up, worked all day, napped, and now I'm here. Still contemplating where to hop in at, I don't want to impede anyone's current scenes.
