My build for female would be an Israeli lady who served in the military (because Israel), and is currently either a chef or a Krav Maga instructor, but knowledgeable in combat either way.

For male, I imagine a former criminal who's either trying to reform himself or in hiding as a monk somewhere - either Christian or Buddhist.

@RainbowLemonade I can link the trailer, which is basically all of the information that Arkane gave. The only other thing they said was that you can play as either Corvo or Emily. I cannot think of a reason not to play an adult Emily when that's an option.

Thursday is plenty of time to decide, if that's about when we'll have most characters up. My two main thoughts are a formerly bad person reformed to being some sort of monk, and a free-runner from I guess Brazil.
