Bio

I am an old roleplayer from the days of Dial-up where everyone went home to roleplay anime adventures after watching their afternoon toonami run, and probably older than that. I started around the late 90s distinctively because I recall playing Final Doom and Metal Gear Solid while trolling Compuserve chat rooms and roleplaying so maybe a year before 99 or 98 generously? Speaking of Compuserve.

After the amount of FUN I had in AOL I switched ISPs because AOL sucked in terms of service. I got to taste blood in PVP beyond the scope of what I already obtained in AOL.. my own blood. I saw the contrast between different fighting styles and fell in love with such an idea of an infinite universe of roleplay fighting, but not before my bewildering OTK. AOL had its great fighting talent, but Compuserve's original Zones pvp was a different beast entirely. There was no rhyme or reason. There was only fighting and permanent (almost) killing. People spent days researching frivolous AskJeeve science articles, obscure words, not-established supernatural theories, actual unproven theories, and overall cheapness to kill other players. I changed. I went from barely spelling to spelling decently. I vested time in the ability to put my wit against the locals on a daily basis and the excitement of dueling, raids, or simple death matches.

Then I forgot there was an entire universe, and fell in love all over again. I lost internet but gained determination. I'd discover free-form roleplaying on RPGchat back in 2003 and changed once again. I was introduced to a more laid back but sensible scale of power-efficiency. These people were more concerned about player positioning and simplicity than abstract and absurd metaphysics, and though Compuserve's meta had remain true to function it didn't offer the tone to level down a bit to something comprehensible. Scale the pointless and streamline your idea. The universe was a big place for me and I think that excited me more. My ambition for battle and war matched now a bigger scale and I would fight randoms all over to just prepare for it. RPGchat was good for one specific thing and that's style in writing. Forum based roleplaying focused specifically on how well you actually wrote circa 2004 and up, and my propensity for verbosity had to adjust. Transitioning is a term I'd use but you'd think I was talking about an operation.

2005 got my net back and suddenly my 3 to 4 paragraph barely able to post a day became a tremendous 7 paragraph and up epic for a specific fight because I. Love. This. So. Much. Ask Reno. My fight bout back into the game was by-far the most intense nights of my career because I was active, fierce, and finally took in everything I've learned. My character then is my main now. Jhieten represents that drive and dedication I put in from hours of even attempting to get one hour of net in a forum that demanded a decent level of quality in modern-fantasy clan feuding. An addiction is one that requires a fix from a fiend. You can't fix passion. I OTK'd Murrocko something nasty he never recovered from. I wonder till this day if he still thinks about that. Reno's proposal to go around wrecking shit titillated me more than the act itself. I think that's what makes me fight PVP. The idea of just fighting and killing itself is much more exciting and keeps me focused; however, let's ignore the paranoia some of my Ls awarded me. No one talks about their defeats. Shhhh.

2005 is my best year. Fighting here. Killing there. Being apart of a big clan and being its main big bad enforcer guy. I messed it up introducing Delve to Reno and had to kill the operation. I lament that still. Poor Reno. He was in the way of our cross-fire. Fellow zoner rivalry has its casualties I'm afraid, but it isn't like I didn't suffer. I became a moderator on Animeleague. That's pain. I became a new moderator for a new clan nation section thanks to Rita and... yeah, Delve; unfortunately, that was short lived because of a combination of both roleplay shenanigans and personal issues that were concurrent and intertwined. I broke my own separation of business and personal. We all learn the hard way. Back to RPGchat.

2006 is a year I don't like talking about. Let's talk about 2007. I did absolutely nothing of value on RPGchat because I got a little too caught up in making trouble ooc, arguments, and playing DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. Sorry Ru; however, this is the year that changed everything. TheZones Duel League. A tournament I made to just run a tournament on a forum no one cares about but me. I modeled the damn thing out of my love of Compuserve's zones which precipitated my penchant for unwarranted violence and murder. Compuserve no longer had its actual players in it so it's time to reinvent the wheel -- make it better. What a year to learn that players will cheat to win and cause drama. Taste of my own medicine (except the cheating part). TZDL2007 didn't change how I viewed the game anymore than just restructuring the definitions of rules and being more concrete; by the way, changes that are huge are usually subtle and slow. I say that unironically.

2009 though. I got Paradox, Ru came around, Argryia... what a player. Basically I got some veterans I knew from AOL and one from MSN (Mystic). Decoy got training to get into Vertex (we were going to crash RPGchat) and ran another fun tournament. This was a bit different though. I got to see Ares get completely crushed by Ru. Holy hell I didn't know she can play that way. Oh snap Argryia is actually pre -- THE $%#@ IS STRING META?! WHAT?! So that can be done.. I always wondered that. Huh.. guess Mystic couldn't handle that. Poor guy. Paradox why did you even use an EMP bomb that early? Now I have to call Meta-game. Everyone seemed to LOVE the definition list though. I learned that I've acquired a new talent and love for the game that transcended even violence itself. I discovered there's order in what people believed is chaos, and they didn't know because these phenomenons didn't have definitions. They were never invoked by name but by action. Man this universe gets bigger the smaller an object actually is. Then TZDL2011 hit and blew everything away. There's a demand.

At first people just like the definition list and some sites asked to borrow it. Ok cool, but now they are asking me to write more. They want to know these terminologies. There's a name for occurrences. I overhauled my baby, made live-streams, podcast interviews, and general fun asshattery in our ooc or phone conferences. I got to meet the wonderful people of ZEJ (once was called CoU) and that's how I got acquainted with Keileon (known as Jason at the time). Draven finally joined. Argryia and Ru is there and the first clan rivalry between the AoA and.. Vertex? Well can't really have a clan rivalry in a tournament that has people representing themselves but Lokanas sure believed he'd beat Argryia. I warned him not to underestimate her cause she's a girl. I know he thinks I fucked him over but that OTK is now legacy to a player who became the literal embodiment of top tier play at the time. She'll thank him moreso than insult the guy, but I'm sure his scorn is much more lethal. TZDL2011 was the height of some of the ooc memes and fun but I learned a lot about being a judge and running an event, a community, and myself. I've learned to calm down. I want my players, assets, to have fun. They like the balance, meta, and information. I will give them even more next time. They'd have to just wait 8 months for a semi-finals round... oops. $#@! Skypark.

TZDL2012 is when I learned the meta from a much more bigger picture and every year since my understanding grew. I became content in watching my players compete and perform to expected levels though Argryia just kept growing. Really. I got to see Paradox and Seth Mayvus come around, Draven compete, Keileon compete, Goliath debuts, Ru come back, and Argryia showing everyone she is a legitimately good player. I was not defanged -- quite the opposite. I realized my fangs needed sharpening, but it isn't your bite that's lethal. It's the force. What I saw there changed everything and it all came together again.. until certain shit happened but we'll just not bring it up. Sorry Seth and Paradox because your match suffered because of it.

From there on my love for exploration overcame the game itself.. by exploring the game itself.
vertex.wikia.com/wiki/Home_Page

Instead I invested my time understanding concepts, tactics, theories, and even functions of the game I thought I knew and I kind of actually did. That's not the thing that surprised me. What surprised me is that EVERYONE already knows.. they just don't know they are invoking these concepts, at least not by name or a uniformed jargon.. maybe lexicon? I'm not in the mood to synonym this. From here on I am much more interested in seeing new applications of the meta or how it's used rather than beating someone up.. but that's because I want to see order and structure to some degree. Prometheus Project. Not related to NASA. Dabo Ignem. I'll be punished accordingly, but first the mission. I dedicate a lot of my brain power into roleplaying and not just going in a thread and pretending to be a weeb because that doesn't interest me.. not in the conventional way. It's full-circle here. The competitive streak of the original zones and the free-form liberty of 2005 where RPGchat's c/g and Animeleague's.. CN? I don't know. Whatever. Anyway the free-form thing. Yeah. That. Bring back a time of roleplay where pvp was fun as much as it was deviously competitive, but this time with some uniformity and some structure. Definitely NO POLITICS.. unless IC where most people's attention SHOULD BE AT!

Ruling
  • The 3rd fragment of the Shroud was not referenced in the original attack Lyra unleashed involving her Ice Flower1
  • Pollen was issued an EOD to take a hit previously. The damage she would receive is greater than what she proposed when finalizing her end of the Edit.
  • Mitsu' Ratifier specifications are in his profile sheet detailing the munition his weaponry uses.
  • The Ratifier fires "VERTBRANIUM" rounds which are a type of bullet using a fictional metal said to be skin to Tungsten and is 3 times heavier.
  • 1 cubic centimeter of Tungsten is 19.25 grams.
  • The caliber of these Ratifier bullets are .500 or 12.7mm Full Metal Jacket. We're going to defer to a 12.7x57.15
  • We calculated and determined the volume of a Ratifier round at 7.01336 cubic centimeters
  • The weight of such bullets with that dimension is 404.8 grams or 0.89243124 pounds since it is heavier than Tungsten by 3 times.
  • We have established previously that Mitsu' only round to make contact with Lyra is moving at 433mph or 635.067 fps
  • 635.06 fps with an object's mass of 404.8 grams is 5593.5 foot pounds or 7.5 kilojoules (7583.8 joules)2
  • At that amount of force we can compare the shot to a .458 Winchester Magnum3
  • Lyra is 5'7 and 125 pounds.
  • The shroud exterior when it was behind the pillar shouldn't be anymore than 16x8' (1609.1 volume) feet tall within the confines of its 2000 cubic foot limit especially with it split in 4 pieces (1 destroyed by Mitsu, 2 acting as defense, and the last remaining part relevant)
  • The inner layer of Shroud is hard to demonstrably determine because we do not know how much more "compact" it is. Both halves of the shroud playing defense are split between each other which means their maximum capable length reflects this. That is perhaps 9.56' radius and 7' tall (502.6) for a very rough estimate.
  • The distance between Mitsu and Pollen is 185.06'
  • Ratifier bullet makes it to Lyra's outer layer at 0.0945 seconds.
  • Mitsu's ratifier penetrating Lyra's interior shell within shroud at 433mph will roughly be 0.007 seconds
  • the maximum muzzle energy the Ratifiers is 50420.8 foot pounds4 but Decoy wrote down 5 Mega Joules (5,000,000) in his profile sheet.

We have reviewed Pollen's edit and determined the player has miscalculated the damage she ought to take based on the specifications of Decoy's attack. Lyra's was initially frozen prior to her EOD as part of a maneuver to relocate her position. It is justified that Lyra may increase the density of her ice, but we do not have any metric that can ascertain that durability versus a reduced Ratifier bullet traveling at reduced speed hitting around 5500 foot pounds. She mentioned it traveling at a muzzle velocity below primitive firearms but not its muzzle energy which is the power it produces. Ratifier bullet calibers are .500 or 12.7 and at 3 times heavier than Tungsten despite its density. The reduced power means less penetration is likely to occur though that may translate to exiting rather than puncturing.

The round can lodge into the icy holds of Lyra's body where its kinetic energy can disperse wildly having a sectional density of 3.56 PSI and the momentum of 17.6 slug feet per second. Lyra is only 125 pounds which is far below the weight necessary to tank this attack with the ease the player suggested. It's more reasonable that Lyra's body, in mid flight, would be blown back especially because of their body being frozen. The bullet is slightly off the center of mass from the Zeus Cannon's own trajectory which will result in a curve of Lyra's own body to that direction (assuming the interior of her frozen body isn't shattered at that region). We cannot conclude how fast Lyra can react to this speed but her FRT and density is considered that this attack does not blow her in half, but will fold her in considerably (this is not a kill shot). The shot could knock her right out of the sky being torn back by the momentum the Ratifier round possesses.

The 2nd part of this ruling touches on a retro-action committed by Drifting Pollen. Pollen does not narrate any indication that the third and irrelevant piece of the shroud came with her flower attack launched prior to her EOD. Decoy's interruption was unsuccessful but her attack's own nature was still suspended in play without resolving and thus any additional properties to it (having been established by both players) cannot be retro fitted. The third piece of shroud awaits to be used and cannot be effectively part of an attack that was already placed on the field.

The third discrepancy involves Decoy's own Ratifier round. His profile sheet explicitly states the .500 Vertbranium fired from the Ratifier produces a muzzle velocity of 5 MegaJoules, but our numbers clearly indicate 68361.4 joules (68 Kilojoules). The output from a single weapon especially a gun launching a bullet that powerful even at a reduced speed of 433mph would obliterate Lyra and ending this fight. We decided that our numbers were more accurate to the weapon specifications itself in the name of fairness to the opponent because any instance of Mitsu' ballistics hitting his opponent may result in an instant defeat (reaching Schedule 2). This is especially true since Lyra is taking damage from a hit we have ruled on. We are making this arrangement based on the numerical accuracy we've acquired from this ruling when it was made clear to us exactly at how much damage will this attack create in terms of power. This also means his Zeus Cannon will not be doing the projected 10 MJs worth of muzzle energy but rather 566291 or 566kilojoules at maximum velocity5. The fight resumes.
Ruling
  • Shroud is capable of a maximum reach of 2000 cubic feet stated in Pollen's profile sheet in the shroud section1. The shroud itself is amorphous so rendering its dimensions can only be reasonable done if we assume it's a sphere visually (we aren't saying it is. We're just determining its overall volume to something visually even).
  • The shroud's maximum potential is realized below 500' cubic feet.
  • The act of layered defense of the Shroud is substantiated since it is mentioned in her 6th post - 6th and 7th paragraph2 and her 7th post 6th paragraph3
  • The shroud is separated in 3 individual pieces each fulfilling a role. Two halves reserved as part of a stacked defense and the final segment serving no direct purpose.
  • The chronology of Mitsu' attack sequences remains consistent between both players; however, their resolution changes on the ruling due to a discrepancy we uncovered.
  • The debris from the ruling impacted Lyra's auto-defense remains consistent.
  • The Zeus Cannon, having an established auto-defense field of their own, will make contact with the outer-layer of Lyra's shroud; however, the nature of Mitsu' Zeus Cannon will act as a piercer similar to before.
  • The Zeus Cannon is described and functioned to penetrate energy fields due to its similar behavior of the character's Thunder Dome.
  • Ratifier rounds have the auto-defense properties of the Zeus Cannon4 6th Paragraph
  • Shroud's effect of deceleration happens upon contact and is specific about entry of contact stated in the profile sheet.5
"The third ability is that the Shroud will resist any and all movement within itself not initiated by Lyra or her abilities"
"slowing down other matter and energy passing through areas where the particles are gathered."
  • The Shroud's contraction will enhance its density for its intended function. This cannot be ignored; however, we cannot ignore that objects making contact with Shroud and can occupy it enough to dampen it. This is by admission of Pollen's latest post to explain the Ratifier rounds ability to explicitly target its most weakest state to meet the demand of the threats proceeding it.
  • The behavior of Shroud by admission of Pollen's post suggest the debris twisted its form and impeded the progression of Lyra's vertical ascension.6 6th paragraph.
  • There's a discrepancy in how Shroud behaves to enemy attacks. The latest post suggest the explosion was snuffed outright, but then it behaves where incoming attacks are greeted by shroud.
  • The Zeus Cannon barrier is of the same electrical type as the explosion proceeding it. There will be no reason for the Shroud not to react with the Clone discharge as it does with the ZC proceeding it.
  • The electrical explosion by one of Mitsu's gold clones will greet Shroud first to busy its natural defensive mechanisms. This is coupled with the somewhat limited debris it met during the ruling.
  • The nature of the gold clone explosion is describe to be an explosion that threatens to encompass the form of the Shroud. It would reach inches from the surface of its target before igniting.
  • The explosion will come milliseconds ahead of the Zeus cannon round and roughly before the 4 foot radius of the sphere protecting it.
  • Gold Clone eruption isn't a typical explosion, but is written to discharging area of electricity with an accompanying explosion of heat first. It will be described to eclipse the Shroud and push onto it or overpower it.

"As the once former golden decoy would come within inches of making contact, an explosion of searing heat, accompanied by an ever-growing blinding sphere of golden electrical discharge, would expand upon the shadow's obfuscous form; it would continue to grow by the second, attempting to power its way through the haze and cause intense damage." ~ Decoy, 7th paragraph7
  • We can adhere to Shroud's density in an area to effect quick objects interacting within its area, but the Zeus Cannon's own round projecting a 4' radial spheroid should be the first targeted by its effect. This is set in precedence from the initial ruling about Pollen's icicle attack penetrating Decoy's auto-defense long enough to allow the gas bomb to pass through.
  • The remaining projectile from the Zeus cannon will meet the sequential layer of defense between Lyra and Mitsu. The bullet here will meet its ending since the concentrated mass of Lyra's autodefense is consistent with her profile sheet.
  • Discrepancy with how the shroud handles the upcoming ratifier rounds proceeding Mitsu' Zeus Cannon, Electric explosion, and the debris. Shroud's intensity is not in question but rather its ability to effectively nullify the immense bombardment of differing activity is only in question from the opening the explosion and Zeus Cannon has and the Ratifiers.
  • We have ruled prior that defenses will not shut out all means of attacks (Dias Blade vs Xavier Ruling 2)8.
  • By admission of Pollen in her post 4th paragraph9 the ratifier rounds will penetrate the weaker hulls of her autodefense.
  • The speed in which the Ratifier rounds moved are only 660fps slower than the Zeus Cannon.
  • All shots fired from Mitsu will be concurrent of a single telegraphy or "CRACK" that indicated only one noise was emitted.

Verdict: There's only two working layers of a defense that shields Lyra from damage with the 3rd remaining shroud piece doing nothing at the moment. We are beholden to the characteristics of Shroud's own defenses and behavior mentioned in the profile sheet and this bout. It indicates that at 500 cubic feet or less (4.9231' radius) shroud's maximum potential of slowing down fast and expedient objects is realized, and segmenting it in two pairs does not diminish its effectiveness despite the split in mass. The shrouds are together as a whole acting on a principle of mass intensity where density of its form optimizes its ability to dampen incoming projectiles; however, we cannot ignore Mitsu' Zeus cannon's barrier that has a 4' radial coverage which is 8' diameter (Giving it an area of 268.1 cubic feet. Feel free to correct me). This is also passed onto the Ratifier projectiles also emitting the same properties of the former.

The Zeus Cannon's barrier will make initial contact with the outer layer of Lyra's shroud that is already concentrated on an expanding explosion from Mitsu's own gold clone. For the entirety of his attack to be considered nullified will mean neither objects penetrate at any capacity especially for one designated to penetrate (similar to the first ruling of this fight 10). The Zeus Cannon's purpose is to penetrate non-substantial forces specifically energy type and has done so in this fight before 11. The expanding energy ignited from the Gold Clone's detonation will also make contact with the barrier, but it was written to be completely negated because of its "spread" which is a discrepancy on how it handled incoming projectiles before and after1213. The first electrical attack Mitsu unleashed14 in this match was anticipated by the shroud like many others after it describing how Shroud gathered to wane the attack15. One could argue that Shroud being thinned from expansion forced it to encapsulate but Shroud had formed around the Debris in Pollen's EOD post involuntarily and the upcoming Zeus Cannon which is also surrounded by electricity in this recent post (though its output and intentions different). Lyra's Shroud is compacted compared to posts throughout this fight which indicate that some voluntary action takes place if Lyra does not control or designate its behavior which she must voluntarily do 16. Mitsu' Ratifiers are retro-fitted with the same Auto-defense setup to do more of the same as the Zeus Cannon. We're deducing that the Shroud's involuntary behavior plays a key factor in Lyra's automated defenses.

The explosion of the clone is described to expand to eclipse Shroud with heat dispersing first using a time modifier being "ever-growing" to denote that its growth is perpetual, and that Shroud is described to slow down objects within its field and not before. Thus, it is possible for the Shroud to be busied not only by the Debris but by the incoming discharge of electricity that is blooming roughly after as it has done before to Mitsu attacks prior. The Shroud will naturally slow and wither this attack to ineffectiveness as its speed deceleration is proportionate to the velocity of an incoming object. Pollen has described Lyra fighting with Shroud's behavior before and splitting it partly for a long-game strategy 17, but all the same that this electrical release will queue the outer layer along the Debris. Another contention would describe how Lyra has manipulate field to intentionally create openings in Shroud to avoid unsavory scenarios with her Shroud, but this reinforces that Shroud's involuntary behavior to actively anticipate intrusive objects. Lyra can control the Shroud which is not a point of contention but rather how the Shroud behaved to the upcoming electricity discharge prior to. The nature of Mitsu's own expanding electrical release from the Gold Clone would meet the same active resistance Shroud exhibited to most of Decoy's propositions earlier, and this time will meet the same unless Lyra wills it otherwise; however, no exertion was prompted from the character despite debris from the EOD initiating and stimulating Shroud's auto response mechanisms. It's reasonable to deduce that the Shroud is now occupied with 2 established factors: The debris from the Gold Clone explosion.

The Zeus Cannon will be the bullet in question regarding how the Shroud interacts with its "Thunder Dome" defense. The Shroud slows down objects that come into contact with it until it reaches a crawl, its particles will first target the electric field. Technically, slowing down objects coming to Lyra's field doesn't necessarily stop it. Shroud describes how objects interact within the mass in which Shroud particles "gather" are slowed by alternating physics around it, but these objects must exist within the field for this effect to take place. Shroud's effect to decelerate objects is initiated once they penetrate and slows down these foreign incursions proportionate to their speed. Shroud's maximum reach in space for which it can occupy leaves it at 1/4th its potential and actively requires its particles to form to withstand outside movement; however, at a more compressed shape or formation approximately 500 cubic feet and lower it may not require active scrambling of Shroud to intercept matter. For Shroud to unintentionally mitigate Mitsu's Clone based attack requires no active response from Shroud, but Pollen described the following:

"The glowing fake struck first, in the form of a bright stream that exploded at the very last moment. In terms of energetic composition it was not unlike the lightning bolt from early in the fight: heat, light, and electricity, just in greater quantities this time. Alas, it would suffer a similar fate to its predecessor. The wider spread of its impact diminished any chances of penetration, and as before the cloud promptly ate it up and shut it down without much trouble." ~ Drifting Pollen, Paragraph 2 18

There's admittance to a "spread" from occurring, but no spread would transpire based on the distance such an event transpired.

"As the once former golden decoy would come within inches of making contact, an explosion of searing heat, accompanied by an ever-growing blinding sphere of golden electrical discharge, would expand upon the shadow's obfuscous form; it would continue to grow by the second, attempting to power its way through the haze and cause intense damage." Decoy, Paragraph Number 19

The release is inches to the target. The blast from this attack will be much more concentrated than assumed as the shroud will not allow a portion of it to grow without resistance. This implies two scenarios:
  • The discharge's shape, or a portion of it, will quarrel with shroud at its most concentrated. Since "spread" indicates the luxury of weakness to Shroud then concentration means further resistance is required forcing Shroud to scramble until dissipation happens.
  • Mitsu's clone energy release is allowed growth enough for dissipation to occur with relative ease. This implies it has made a considerable space of occupancy within the same area Shroud inhabits. This will cover a wider area of Shroud.

The former will force Shroud's automated responses in admission of Pollen's post because a spread will not incur the ease of shutting it down "without much trouble" since it'd be exactly the composition of Mitsu' first attack. This first attack had no spread requiring Shroud, that was thinned, to captured it by amassing the aforementioned bolt. The latter cannot be true because Lyra has no control over Shroud's ability to slow down objects only how it forms. This is stated in her profile sheet:

"As a result, when spread too thinly it will self-concentrate around sources of movement where necessary, to better resist them. Although Lyra, her weapons, and the matter/energy she controls with her powers are immune to this effect, she can't control the effect itself." Drifting Pollen, Profile Sheet - Shroud Paragraph 4 20

It can be determined that the Gold Clone is either: too concentrated currently for the ease of Shroud to not amass to it or Shroud allowed the spread coverage to shut it down contradicting Shroud giving credence to Mitsu' Gold Clone detonation. The latter will imply it was strong enough to breach but then, because of its formation, can be shut down. From what occurred: the detonation is as is and cannot properly form to Mitsu' desire despite it's ever growing potential because of Shroud's effect; however, the ease in which Shroud shut down such an attack requires said auto-defense to gather around this occurrence much the same of the Debris.

The next attack in chronology is immediately Mitsu' Zeus Cannon. It's established that rounds from this Arm-Mounted cannon fires munition of considerable weight that generates an auto-defensive field similarly to the operator's "Thunder Dome". This bullet, traveling at 1750mph, carries a field designed to pierce energy fields. We cannot certainly declare Shroud an energy field but strikes characteristics of energy from having particles that circumvent it own generation of desired physics; however, the composition of said bullet's electrical field is electricity which, like any form of matter interacting with shroud, is said to slow down where it "gathers". This indicates, like the piercing ruler before, that said electrical field around these Vertbranium rounds will be targeted first by Shroud and will penetrate. Lyra's own auto-defense is already qeued by the debris ruling stated in the EOD and now the upcoming electrical emission; however, Pollen wrote an interesting facet of contention to this idea:

" While the cannon shot drew the cloud in like a hungry whirlpool, the following rounds struck its weaker fringes"

The Debris, Clone Explosion, and now the Zeus Cannon has tied Shroud especially the latter. Lyra's field will have to rearranged Shroud in anticipation to these threats which is stated to occur; albeit, Zeus Cannon's bullet is still imbued for this specific scenario. It is true that an ideal gathering of Shroud particles can beat out Zeus Cannon (maybe) we have to take into account its actual composition currently. Pollen wrote Shroud having two separate layers of Shroud that are both halves of a singular whole, but shroud has been divided 4 times this match. The original split was destroyed via ruling, the other not relevant, and the last two make-up the outer and inner layers of said fortification with void space in between. We cannot say for certain at what quantities these shape hold Shroud particulates, but being divided portions implies a reduction of total mass between 3 separate "wholes" for the ideal concentration Shroud will have at maximum mass with a compact volume. The limitation here is based on the direct stipulation of Shroud's maximum reach versus generation in which Lyra does not generate Shroud particles. It is described as a mass or floating dark cloud surrounding the operator with set limitations of functions such as the maximum space it occupies, reduction of potential proportionate to coverage, self concentration under circumstances, and absolute potential when compacted. This implies Shroud has a set number of mass to achieve desired effects especially reach as it is described as a gaseous form and thus with subtraction of power comes an increase of size -- also means less of the total mass could also indicate a reduction of power. Lyra cannot populate the field of anymore Shroud as self generation is not in the profile sheet. This will justify Shroud's weaken state relatively speaking. For ease of reference:

-Shroud's maximum strength is at 500 cubic feet or lower
-Shroud is reduced a quarter of strength at 2000 cubic feet
-1/4 of Shroud at maximum coverage is 500.
-1/4 = 500. 1/2 = 1000. 3/4 = 1500. 1 = 2000
-Shroud doesn't generate or not perpetuating nor does it multiply particles. Meaning it uses the total sum of itself for its operations
-Earlier this game Shroud's first piece was a 8' hemisphere turned into a sphere. 8' hemisphere assumed diameter of 4' radius but it's a hemisphere so that could only imply just 3.1781' radius - 134.51' cubic feet. That's merely 6.7025 percent. 2000-134.51 is 1865.49
-Both Outer and Inner layers are roughly equal to the remaining shroud. That's 1865.49/2 = 932.74 a piece. We cannot say this is correct because there's a third piece used for another task. This number should be lower to some other quantity.
-Shroud may require only densely gathered pieces of shroud for its effect. Meaning the Shroud's coverage may not be important provided enough of what is needed for 500 cubic feet or less is in a specific area at a time.

Mitsu's Zeus Cannon will meet with Pollen's described whirlpool effect; though, coupled with the gold clone explosion, debris, and a reduced Shroud means Mitsu' attack can hit her inner defense in which it'd be defeated there. The Auto-defense accompanying Mitsu' Cannon doesn't have a generating property akin to Mitsu's bio-electric field which gives credence to Shroud, but Shroud is beset by opposing forces prior including limitations it has. The Zeus Cannon attack is not the only proposition Decoy describe having his automated defensive field. Since prior rulings justify that piercing attacks require two materials (substituted material and core material) then his ballistic attack has a case of entering further passed the outer layer.

The following Ratifiers cannot absolutely for certain be damped by Shroud. The opening Zeus Cannon allowed, precipitated by the gold clone explosion and debris, will have allowed the Zeus cannon's bullet to queue her inner layer (having the outer layer tied with 3 separate instances). It is true that a concentrated gathering of shroud maximizes their ability to slow objects. It is also true they must, in some form, gather to the object. The following ratifiers were no more apart from the impact of the Zeus Cannon's area than they are apart which can free up some allotted space for clearance. Had all three shroud segments layered the defense instead of two then the Ratifier rounds will only make contact with the final protective aegis (piercing effects). It is reasonable to negotiate the actual lethality of these projectiles to conclude at least 1 of them will hit Lyra. Justification: The scattered airborne debris from the ruling, the explosion from the Gold Clone Lightning Attack should busy the shroud enough for the Zeus Cannon's barrier to further tie its operations prior. This will allow the simultaneous bullets, with the Zeus Cannon bullet, to amass Shroud to 3 locations. There's another determining factor playing into the Ratifier rounds.

Decoy wrote that both Ratifier rounds will be suffused with the same bio-electric field the Zeus Cannon projectile possesses. The Shroud, dealing with 3 opposing forces, and admission of Pollen:

"While the cannon shot drew the cloud in like a hungry whirlpool, the following rounds struck its weaker fringes. They carried less energy than the larger projectile, and the first would far little better than its larger cousin- but its sibling, the final bullet, striking where and when the Shroud was weak, had better luck." ~ Drifting Pollen, 4th Paragraph

Shroud would be occupied not just by the Zeus Cannon, but debris and discharge. What we're deliberating on is that if the following projectiles entered weaker fringes and carried a load of the same auto-defense field the Zeus Cannon has then their penetration power is less effected by Shroud's outer field. This means all 3 of Mitsu's ballistic attacks passed the outer layer with varying levels of efficiencies; however, we estimate the statement "carried less energy" was from a ballistic standpoint as Decoy mentioned no output of these electric field other than their intensity due to their red aura detonating a potentially much stronger field radiation (Zeus Cannon included). The Zeus cannon is the faster and heavier round between the 3 and thus escapes the outer layer into the void space between both fractions of Shroud. Pollen described a space between both levels of defenses so there isn't a constant force of resistance hitting projectiles that may enter. Shroud doesn't necessarily impede movement on the immediate point of contact:

"The third ability is that the Shroud will resist any and all movement within itself not initiated by Lyra or her abilities"
Indicates that an object must first be within

"Its minuscule particles are made of a strange material from a far-flung universe devoid of life, and they bend physics around them slightly, slowing down other matter and energy passing through areas where the particles are gathered."

Meaning an object must enter before its effect is triggered.

"This effect works more powerfully against faster movements: walking through the Shroud is merely uncomfortable, running through it is like pushing against a wall of molasses, and bullets or anything similarly fast will face opposition strong enough to slow them to a crawl."

All of these are found in the Shroud section of the profile sheet in the third paragraph21

Describes the time in which objects regress their acceleration. Again, they are reduced to a fraction of the speed within if they go from their initial velocity to a slower rate. This describes that Shroud does not instantaneously slow an object but reduces their speed though varying upon the actual object's velocity (since that's proportionate). Bullets can range from less than 586.667 fps to above 1700 fps. We do not know how long it takes to reach a "crawl" rate within Shroud, but we can deduce that a rate does exist. We can then interpret that there exist a transitional state between speeds before Shroud is satisfied with whatever object entering it. These bullets must be within Shroud to some degree before succumbing to its effects and that includes their barriers. These Ratifier projectiles with their auras will enter 'weaken' fringes of her already engaged defensive field, and being weaker may significantly impact their projected auto-defenses as well. The Zeus Cannon dealt with a concentrated portion of Shroud by Pollen's own post meaning it will have no barrier upon entering if we're to assume it does based on the evidence above, but this may not hold true for the Ratifiers having already entered through areas Shroud was more susceptible. The shroud's division doesn't help as it will have less mass from the outer layer to deal with this many things happening at once. The inner layer, roughly equivalent of the out-layer, must burden these loads of a potential 3 prong attack. The Zeus Cannon will end here though having a significant density to its physical composition and speed may or may not force Shroud's inner layer to response, but the following Ratifier's with perhaps a portion of their auto defenses if any in such succession can total the difference. These 3 factors, including their potential auto defenses, turn this into 5 hazards.

The first Ratifier bullet meeting the inner layer with a reduced auto-defense and a halved shroud will translate into a full stop but we must combine this with whatever pressure the Zeus Cannon projectile offered. Right after is the last projectile with the same energy coating the other 2 had but at reduced power. Shroud's inner layer will be busied potentially by the potential first but definitely 2nd bullet for it possessed the substituted material to make up even a marginal piercer. Shroud's ability to intercept intrusions came with an aforementioned penalty that allowed one of them to enter. There's reason to believe that will happen with the 3rd and final attack from Mitsu' ballistic arsenal. It will be almost the direct result that happened upon the outer layer: 2 or 2 and some fraction qeueing Shroud's inner layer for a 3rd entity to enter less opposed; however, there will be insufficient bio-electric energy at this point to maximize that entry to a desired effect from either Ratifier rounds. This means out of the 3 rounds to strike Lyra's inner defensive field only 1 will do so at reduced power and based on the amount of objects doing so will be at a factor of 3. The Ratifier projectiles travel at 1300mph which is 1906.6 fps. We're going to divide it by 3 making it 433.3mph or 635.5 fps. The Vertbranium Round is 3 times denser than Tungsten traveling at that velocity will hit Lyra further round of the Zeus Cannon whom trajectory aimed at center mass (middle of the torso). To surmise the justification:

  • Divided Shroud in 4 unequal pieces
  • Two halves of her defense equals a greater portion of the shroud. This reduces the total mass and volume of the dark cloud though and hence reduces its ability.
  • Shroud forms to gather against intrusive debris.
  • Mitsu fires specifically after the debris with a lightning bolt attack of his Gold Clone upon firing his gun
  • 4 attacks rush to Lyra but Gold Clone makes it first
  • Explodes before it with constant discharge of energy to tie it up along with the debris
  • Zeus Cannon further ties it up with its barrier. Makes it through because of auto-defense.
  • Ratifier round 1 and 2 come after with their own barriers
  • Both penetrate with reduced auto-defenses specifically round 2 because by admission is when Shroud couldn't adequately snuff it
  • Zeus Cannon hits inner defense. It's mitigated successfully
  • Ratifier 1 round with a reduced auto-defense if any is also successfully mitigated. Zeus and Ratifier potentially Queue up Inner Defense
  • Round 2 comes with a significant defensive field to make a better entry into the inner layer. Inner layer dampens it to a reduced speed of 433mph.
  • Round 2 hits Lyra chest or mid section to the right of her body. Takes damage based on the kinetic force of a bullet traveling at 433mph with an object 3 times the density of tungsten.

Pollen you are issued an EOD. Please make the appropriate changes to your post. Your attack is not successfully interrupted so it will not require changing since this may not kill your character unless we're updated with evidence to the contrary. Please highlight in any color of your choosing the changes you are adding in and keeping the original text in your post but struck out (thank you Xavier and Dias for setting this standard). Decoy must post after you announce the completion of your EOD when he's ready. The fight resumes.
Verdict 2

The piercing attack of Xavier is defeated by the nature of Dias' beam attack. The properties of Dias' attack is set to destroy matter "instantly" which is a time modifier that denotes how long it took for it to dissolve objects it establishes contact with. Xavier's attack, to be a piercer, would require two elements for a successful attempt: The substituted material and the projectile itself. This goes into the same ruling as Pollen or Argryia's fight where the latter, much like your bout, does not have any defining characters of energy we can base our analysis off of. So by roleplaying mechanics and previous rulings we have concluded that the ball would be destroyed by the power of Dias’ attack since it has made first contact before subsequent actions of Xavier would enable it shield his Dread energy.

The Dread energy, itself, however can potentially be preserved but not in this attack. Evidence suggest that dread energy attempted to dampening the beam as a cloud during Xavier’s initial AOEs. Dread Particles, by admission of Xavier, would not fair well or almost at all against the energy emitted by his adversary; however, the second element of Xavier’s counter-attack (his piercer) is not simply a separated cloud of dread particles but an active state of Dread Energy. We cannot factual deduce how energy of one type (Narria beam) can effect another, though Xavier and the judges have given credence to the allowance of how Dias’ attack operated.

We are basing our ruling now off roleplay mechanics and TZDL’s scheduling system. The attack of Dias has no active stipulation or weaknesses governing its behavior. It has already proved effective in dispersing non-concentrated dread matter in its more gaseous state and effectively damaged his opponent’s natural defenses for the time being. The piercing attack Xavier attempted is thwarted but the Dread Energy passing into the attack is another matter. This half of the is only preserved up until a certain range, but since it isn’t the concentrated attack of Dias’ Narria Beam (including 8 seconds and its destructive capabilities) it will dissipate much like the dread particles that came before it. This implies Dread energy of perhaps the same variety at a stronger payload may result in desired effects should Xavier decide to pursue it. A lack of weakness of Dias’ attack would suggest that if a full stop-destruction of any effort Xavier tries to fight this beam and its speed would rank it Schedule 2 (no one but Pollen’s shroud would have a real good chance at it either). This is an outcome we want to avoid.

Over some distance the dread energy launched without any protection will be defeated. Xavier you may make the changes to your post on your 2nd EOD. We’ve based our findings off the established events from both parties to deduce the outcome while adhering to TZDL. Proceed.
Ruling
  • The original attack of the saw disc that was ruled against them was by their propose trajectory in Xavier's post

"3 inch diameters and 15 hooked and pointed teeth on their edge. The air was briefly filled with a symphony of high pitched whistles as the they were fired forward" followed by

"with no physical effort on Xavier’s part these weapons accelerated to bullet speed they were all headed towards Dias's upper body and face, set synchronized impact I’m just under 200 milliseconds" ~ Xavier Bloodbayne, 1 attack 5th paragraph

  • The Edits Xavier made mandated by the EOD will target Dias' barrier after colliding with the obstacle before them

"Via a series of split second mental commands, Xavier was quickly able to regain control over the flight patterns of the saw blades, curve them back around in the air and then fire them once more at the shield to complete his test." ~ Xavier Bloodbayne, 2nd attack 2nd Paragraph

  • It is possible for the shield or Dias' forcefield "Excalibur" to be targeted in two distinctive ways.
    - Xavier's dread energy act as extrasensory for his character to see {Dread Energy - 2nd Bullet}
    - Dias Blade's Amiger forcefield extends 30 yards in radius from him that's 90' radius or 180' diameter {Introduction Post - 15th paragraph}
  • The line of sight between them is not widely hindered {Screenshot here}
  • The radiance of Amiger verifies the information provided

    "Of course, Dias didn't have much of a reprieve as his senses registered a strange manner of energy quickly seeking to flood the confines. Thankfully his field was still active. Before any of the alien particles could breach the outer perimeter of the field, a blinding golden radiance abruptly appeared completely surrounding the distorted space within" ~ Dias Blade {Introduction Post - 17th paragraph}

  • The stage being invulnerable will translate to the barriers of both players being contorted to the shape of the arena.
  • The saw disc are estimated to be traveling at 1100fps or 750mph from their initial launch. We deduce this value from the first attack by the distance between both players (220') and the time given (200 milliseconds by Xavier) to decipher his "bullet speed".
  • The disc will meet against the obstruction in the center of the stage and acknowledged by Xavier's EOD. The time it took to reach the stage obstruction is 0.10 seconds.
  • Dias timed his reaction to Xavier's attack only after the second attempt collided with an obstruction

"At the instant Xavier's second try with the saw blades made contact, they were promptly met with the same outcome had they managed to hit last time. But the strike itself created an opportunity as Dias immediately reacted by jumping up and further to the right just enough," ~ Dias Blade 3rd post - 4th Paragraph

  • Likewise the speed of the saw disc will reach 1500mph or 2200fps after colliding with Dias' forcefield described below:

"As the saw blades came into contact with the radiant barrier, they were sent screaming through the air; followed soon after by a dozen booms that sounded off in almost perfect unison as they were rocketed to over 1500 mph (twice average bullet speed)" ~ Xavier Bloodbayne - 4rd post 1st Paragraph

  • The retrieval of his saw disc were traveling at 1500mph will mean these disc will return back to Xavier roughly half the time it took to each any interference between them and Dias' defenses.
  • However, the words "followed soon after" from the excerpt above suggest that the saw disc did not reach the aforementioned velocity described in Xavier's post. It can be argued they transitioned from a speed before it but this would be considered a marginal reduction or delay to the estimated time due to the effect being chained from the "dozen booms going off in almost perfect unison"
  • The speed of any boom is equal or greater than the speed of sound which gives us the time it'd take for these disc to reach their maximum acceleration.
  • The saw disc ricocheting is possible if it's assumed they are still moving at the velocity reached at 1500mph. The floor and wall heights in the desk's enclosure is vastly smaller than the distance they traveled.
    - The ceiling height of the Porch section is 8'9" from floor to ceiling with the projectiles moving at 1100fps means their time between floor and ceiling is 0.00727273 seconds
    - There aren't many walls at either Player starts but the nearest walls is pillar north of Xavier that's 49' away (from the wall), and the larger wall to his east with being 21' away. The distance between both walls is 14' which means at 1100fps the projectiles will reach wall to wall ricochet in 0.0127273 s. This doesn't include the time they'd make diagonal and perpendicular cross-paths between trajectories
-Though the speed between these ricochets are immense proportionate to their small time: this action can be interrupted by Dias Blade as his movement is also minute though undefined.
  • It is possible for Xavier to sense the power surge of Dias Blade's attack. Xavier's profile sheet specifically states:

"physical movements that are out of sight and even changes in energy levels of the surrounding area." ~ Xavier Bloodbayne, Dread Energy Bullet 2.

  • It is also possible for the attack to be read only minutely before it is launched by the surge of power from within the Excalibur Barrier

"Resonating in tandem with one another, the SoulLink drew upon each, creating cohesion as a mass of turbulent energy manifested within the chamber." Dias Blade, 3rd post - 3rd Paragraph

  • The Excalibur barrier is described to shield Dias' own attacks from penetrating through (2nd attack, 4th paragraph). It is unspecified in his profile sheet what caveats this barrier may have but the attack launched from within his field is one of the exceptions as it "punched through"(3rd Attack, 5th paragraph) his own barrier. This may be a point of contention whether or not such an attack can be sensed as penetrating his own defenses to launch an attack means the attack build up is disguised behind the barrier.
  • Xavier's ability to see the attack is justified by his Dread energy's properties and what he typed:

"All at once, Xavier’s mind was filled with a volley of information as Dias released his attack; the first being incredible power surge pinging off of the Dread Particles nearest the radiant sphere as it was created." ~ Xavier Bloodman. 3rd Post, 2nd paragraph.

  • The speed in which the attack is unleashed might be difficult for Xavier to respond to not having the time in doing so (1/3rd speed of light).
  • A misinterpretation is present here

"Then, for but an instant, the force that repelled the particles from entering the barrier suddenly lessened, before the beam tore through the barrier and smacked into the thick particles that made up the front lines of the cloud." Xavier Bloodbayne. 3rd post, 2nd paragraph.

The force mentioned is the Excalibur barrier which originally repelled dread energy. He describe it lessen only by the attack which Dias unleashed from within. Dias only described it punching through. There will be no dampening transition as described by Xavier.

  • Xavier has two FRTs (Fast Reaction Time) abilities. The Dread energy particles is one (Dread energy, 2nd bullet) and his enhanced brain neurology (Enhanced Body, 3rd Bullet).
  • The blinding light of Dias' attack will play a role in Xavier's ability to see. It is not stated in his profile sheet that his eye sight is capable of manipulating the amount of light passing through or control over light being processed by his retina.
  • The Dread Energy combined with the passive FRT can assist in Xavier seeing the attack without his eyes.
  • It is reasonable for the information of the attack to reach Xavier roughly the same time if not marginally greater since its extrasensory ability was activated prior to Dias' attack.
  • Discrepancy here

"Before his eyes could register the flash of light bursting from the barrier, Xavier’s brain was firing off signals to his various limbs and they responded as fast as they possibly could; but not fast enough." ~ Xavier Bloodmain, 4rd post 4 paragraph

Since the attack of Dias punched through his own barrier may indicate that his own field may disguise what he was doing.

  • The initial impact of the energy attack hitting Xavier and the described effects of it splitting is how Xavier is taking damage to it. His skin, stated in his profile sheet, repels energy based attacks.

"Xavier’s skin has absorbed the Dread Energy magnificently and because of this it has a natural ability to repel energy based attacks and has a natural resistance to flame attacks." ~ Xavier Bloodbayne, Enhanced Body 2nd bullet

  • The skin's ability to repel by integration of dread energy would explain the energy attack being bisected and split in various ways.
  • There is a subtle distinction of the energy Xavier can repel stated by his profile sheet. Cuts or physical damage that can bypass his natural toughness can harm and damage him. The only energy he repels would be those of partial-tangible forces akin to the state of plasma (such as Dias' attack, actual plasma, electricity, etc,.). Hence, it is inferred through his own profile that kinetic forces do not constitute as the energies he can repel.
  • Xavier took considerable damage despite his profile sheet allowing him to repel energy based attacks.
  • With the above damage to consider and lengths to which Xavier took the damage we can roll a ruling based on his generosity
    - A repel all ability must have a limit and damage must be dealt with
    - Dread energy can be destroyed by the same attacks that can be repelled off the skin of Xavier.
  • This would mean that dread energy can be mitigated by forces Xavier is tough against.
  • For concerns that may be brought up in disputes: Xavier is NOT immortal. His ability to reconstruct his form in his profile sheet (history section) states to take time. I will not reveal anymore than this.
  • The rapid movement of the disc and their direction is unclear nor their path in relation to Xavier
  • We can extrapolate that they were cutting him up prior and thus, due to the lack of time, some of them are capable of being caught in the beam attack of Dias.
  • We do not understand the justification for the metal ball to pierce through Dias attack. Dread Metal does not possess the inherited properties of Xavier's skin so it cannot repel energy. The ball will succumb to the properties of Dias' disintegration beam.
  • The speed in which every sequential motion Xavier exhibited to make his own piercing attack in Dias' beam is in question. Xavier is capable of great speeds but only to make his own attack and launch it in a fraction of a second is unlikely.
  • The sequential order of Xavier's counter attack along with the sliding he underwent throughout the duration of the beam struggle suggest, much like the pollen ruling, that more time is required. It is possible to resolve his own before the 8 seconds expire, but no in any small fraction if you consider the steps required:
    - the beam was hit against Xavier
    - the beam and its nature is considered
    - the damage underwent described by Xavier and his sliding
    - Having the dread metal ball interact with the beam itself
    - Xavier's ball was reshaped upon contact with the beam (which is should not sustain due to the nature of the attack itself)
    - Xavier punching the spike like a hammer hitting a bullet
    - The travel time against the beam and its force
  • We cannot numerically quantify the beam's force pushed against the counter attack's opposing pressure but it incinerates regardless.
  • Dread particles were established to be weaken and defeated by this attack puts the piercing part of the attack itself into question (Xavier's 3rd post, 2nd and 3rd paragraphs). The ball itself needing to be within the beam first before it was imbued means it would have been destroyed.

Verdict

The match continues. Xavier will be issued his 2nd EOD to adjust for the changes from this ruling. Dias you may reply when Xavier is done and notifies both of us of his changes. Xavier knows the drill: highlight the changes made to your post. Xavier has taken damage from the attack and thus everything carries on as detailed above. Dias feel free to post when ready. To clear it up: Xavier could not see the attack coming before but only after. The speed it moved relative to Xavier's speed is disproportionate and thus Xavier you should take a few seconds out of your time in character. The damage you sustained is the damage you sustained. That will not change. Dias' Narria elemental combination devastating awesome hyper beam attack cannot be sensed within the Excalibur barrier as it required penetration to be released and thus implies it was not emitting anything before.
Ruling

  • Keileon has officially withdrawn.

Verdict
Junction advances. Keileon. I am sorry to hear about your personal issues and hope you overcome them eventually. I know this was a very tough match for you and thanks for giving it everything even with nothing left to give and your irl stress. I appreciate everything you have done.
Ruling

  • Slight discrepancy of the original speed of the fifty balls created by Mitsu as narrated by Decoy. They were typed being slower than both his Ratifier's and his Zesus cannon, but then was written to be in between.
  • Decoy written 2 clones exploding to initiate the effect of his fifty spheres, but written 3 in the following paragraph. We assume the original clone exploding was part of the activation and hence it was written as 3. For now we will go by 2 clones exploding including the original leaving 3 cones remaining on the field.
  • The "estimation" of the fifty spheres were an average between Mitsu' Ratifier Guns and Zesus Cannon. Their estimated speed is 2309.95 fps or 1574.96 mph.
  • The distance between the sphere's position and Lyra was determined by the last location they rested at before forming as an attack.
  • Mitsu had his spheres remain stationary at the mid-point of his manuever to the scaffolding before executing his Thunder God Teleport Level 2. This placed the spheres not only 10' away from the Player 1 starting position, but closer South since the scaffolding is diagonally of Mitsu' position. Had he went only right he would be behind the pillar instead.
  • The distance between the spheres and Lyra is 62.29 meaning 62' and close to 3/5th or 3" 3/4 (technically 74 not 75 percent of 3 inches). This plays a role in the next point.
  • The time it'd take the spheres to reach Lyra's pillar will be 0.026965951643975 seconds or 0.02 of a second. We did not feel it was necessary to determine the collateral damage except for the most crucial part. This is important for later
  • We have determined a rough estimation of a large quantity of the sphere's groupings to do a variety of effects; however, we have also determined only 15 of the spheres launched were aimed at a significant target: The split shroud from the Zeus Cannon attack located by Player2 before Lyra relocated.
  • The spheres were described to indiscriminately destroy a variety of landscape and their numerical grouping is as followed:
    - 20 of the spheres were launched at the South-eastern pillar described by Decoy in his post.
    - 15 directed at Pollen's first duplicate Shroud.
    - 15 doing collateral damage throughout the stage including hitting both pillars at the center from the slope (one end of the scaffolding and where Lyra is located), the southern wall at the exit, the dragon bones, and random locations.
  • 70 percent of the projectiles launched by Mitsu (the spheres) will hit no distinctive target. Out of 70 percent of the whole - 71.45 percent hit the south-east pillar at the far end of the stage where Lyra is not located. The remaining 30 percent target the shroud left over at the player 2 location.
  • 20 spheres, which is 40% of the whole attack, were aimed at the south-east pillar. This is deduced by the following:

Twenty of the spheres would slam the area of the south-eastern pillar, causing the massive structure to crack and fall over – following the momentum of the impact – backwards towards the southern wall, large threatening chunks of stone debris falling in all directions around it. ~ Decoy post - third paragraph

  • The Southern wall is more than 140' from Lyra's position. For the debris to fall back in that direction would imply the southern-east pillar would be the furthest South pillar to the south wall by the entrance/exit of the stage. Diagram here
  • The remaining 15 of consequence target the shroud. Pollen did not write or narrate the fate of the piece of Shroud left over.
  • Pollen described having evaded any debris hitting her character having moved in time to the response of her opponent; however, we deduce no such time was appropriate due to how Pollen chained the activation of her evasion to Decoy.
  • Decoy's gold clones exploded to ignite his barrage attack moving at the defined speed addressed earlier. Lyra's FRT and speed does not compensate (not having any defining speed in the profile sheet) not only for the amount of time necessary (0.02 of a second) to react and evade, but due to the sequential order of her own evasion chained from Decoy's activation.
    - Lyra began her evasion upon the clone explosion hence is retaliating/responding to their Decoy's attack activation.
    - The wind generated by her character came first before she leapt.
    - Lyra will leap AFTER the guest was generated for lift.
    - Pollen described the speed "approaching" a third of the speed of sound. That's approximately 375.10 fps or 255.75mph.
  • Above will indicate not an immediate thrust but of acceleration of a maximum output of speed.
  • The chaining of her evasion will also describe not a simultaneous chain of events but rather a sequential one which will mistime her evasion from the debris.
  • The fluids in her body will not make a significant difference in her velocity as the winds generated from her is "greater" than the 'fiercest hurricane' which is hurricane which is Typhoon Tip that had winds only up to 160mph versus Decoy's spheres moving at 1574.96 mph before achieving a third of the speed of sound.
  • Pollen did not mention the fate of her original shroud piece left behind from the Zeus Cannon altercation.

Verdict
A majority of Mitsu's spheres only damaged the stage with the 30 remaining hitting the shroud left over by Lyra upon her ascension. Since the shroud cannot be treated as an NPC it will be treated as a field permanent and up to the discretion of Decoy on what happened to it. The reason? Pollen was ambiguous in describing exactly what had occurred to it when the spheres touched the area it inhabited. Thus, it'd be mutually fair that if it disappeared then it was presumably destroyed and we'll allow Decoy to address this in his following turn.

The debris from the pillar explosion caused by Mitsu's attack will threaten Lyra likewise, but the south-wall destruction from the 20 sphere barrage is inconsequential. Lyra's auto-defense of her shroud will take the brunt of that debris in her EOD since your character will not have the time required to adequately dodge as proposed in your latest post.. Decoy, Mitsu's attack from his spheres will not hit anything meaningful except the shroud piece left over. The debris you generated to fall on Lyra was vaguely described hitting the area around and near the fallen pillar debris already on the field. The large collateral damaged you created was from the 20 spheres hitting the far south end of the stage by your own description.

This fight resumes.
Ok guys.. I need some avails.
Alright Dias. Ok there, Xavier. What's your avail?
You know the drill then Junction. Avail for this week.
Ruling
  • An investigation into this fight has determined that the five primary elements of Narria was not in the profile sheet; however, we inquired about it and the elemental composition of said elements were generic fantasy elements as the name of such channel of power is flavor text.
  • Dias and Xavier were both informed that adherence to their profile sheets is mandatory. This ties to the prior Five Elements of Narria inquiry in which flavor text needs clarification as ambiguity in our tournament is prohibited.
  • Dias Blade will not be able to see his opponent from behind the obstruction since Ether may be shrouded by Xavier's dread particles in which he is made up of. He might appear as a cloud or mist.
  • Dias will not be able to perceive the telegraph if Xavier's disc even if he could see a silhouette as the lines on Xavier are detail of his anatomy. There will be no visual indication of that detail from such silhouette.
  • Xaiver originally launched his saw blades towards his opponent with no indication of trajectory. Though Xaiver can control them they did not have any homing or curvature in their path prior to Dias' defense. This means these disc will only operate in one direction regardless of Dias positioning which hasn't changed, and cannot be redirected upon meeting the obstruction suddenly with any pseudo-homing behavior as this will technically be a Retro-Active ability.
  • Since the saw-disc cannot retroactively redirect then they do not meet Dias' Armiger and are stopped by the block between their line of sight.
  • The Armiger defense which rebound the disc does not occur.
  • The timing of Dias' Narria Elemental channeling is in question. His character would wait and see previously but then upon actions his character decided, before the initiation of Xavier's attack, setup for his own. He did not violate a rule of priority as Xavier was not interrupted before his first attack nor did Dias attacked before him.

Verdict The Dread Metal Saw Disc will be blocked by the stage's center piece and the fight resumes. Xavier you are issued an EOD and Dias was already told next time to be more indicative of his abilities in the Dispute Channel. Since Dias cannot perceive Xavier's outline then the timing of his Narria Elemental buildup is mistimed and will occur concurrent of Xavier since his character will not be given any visible indication; otherwise, the fight will proceed as Normal. Dias may post when ready only after Xavier fulfills his EOD. Dias and Xavier please be more attentive to your profile sheets.

The Five primary elements of Narria are

Fire
Water
Earth
Air
Light.

Light itself cannot have more properties than what we would default as anything beyond its typical behavior would have required it to be itemized in the profile sheet. Fight Resumes.
