Shu didn’t know how to describe the thrill he got from that little ride of his, but it was definitely very exciting compared to what he had been doing lately. He didn’t know such a ritual existed or why this was even an activity, but he did enjoy it whatever its purpose. With the days on this planet being a little longer than Earth’s he was happy that he got to enjoy a lot more during the day as opposed to having to go to sleep once it got dark, seeing how it left out a lot of activities he could’ve done during the day like this. His bedtime hours were strict for the safety of others, but because he had grown used to that he wasn’t used to having so much extra time to be awake for. Staring down the hill once they had got back up to the top he bounced on around Takeshi again, sitting down in front of him once more. “Ready ready!” Once they took off he squealed on the way down, holding onto Takeshi’s legs on the way down before throwing his hands up once they hit the water. That proved exciting as well, so much so that he bounced up and jumped around in the water as Takeshi laughed away. “That fun! That really fun! More please! Why we no have this on Earth??”

T’charrl smiled nervously when he seemed to had gotten it wrong regarding her species, looking away slowly as he tapped his claws together. He was a little embarrassed since he seemed to had made her confused, getting into questions he probably shouldn’t be asking. “Oh…I-I see. With us you can tell what environment we grew up in by how we look, I suppose”, he sighed, shaking his head, “I just thought that maybe you were going to miss the light if you were underground for too long”. He felt pretty stupid sometimes, especially when he didn’t know if he was going to be going into territory he really shouldn’t. Smiling and nodding at her plan he sighed heavily. “That would be great…and I should try to figure out how to make it easier for everyone too, I suppose…” Going back to the book he stared down at the words as she continued to read through the story, slowly tilting his head. “Ohhh…something bad is going to happen. I can tell”, he spoke before turning to Yumi, “What is ‘horses’, though? ‘Graze’? ‘Drawn up’…like a sword?”
Shu was sure he was going to have fun with this activity but he was also pretty anxious so going with Takeshi felt best for him, his curiosity over whether it was going to be a good time certainly remaining high. It looked fun and everyone was having fun, but whether it was fun for him he didn’t know quite yet. Letting out a squeak he did bounce in front of Takeshi, landing in front of him and holding on to make sure he wasn’t going to fall away. Getting all excited he barely cared about Takeshi holding onto him like that, his only concern right now being the ride down. The moment they started to move Shu let out a squeal of excitement, his tail wrapping around Takeshi’s leg momentarily as they shot down the hill. What a burst of excitement this was turning out to be and as they crashed into the water below Shu shut his eyes tight, tensing up momentarily but soon opened them. Gasping momentarily in fright he remained quiet at first before squealing, clapping his hands. “Again! Again, again!” he squeaked happily, jumping to his feet before he splashed around gently as he headed on out again, “That was fun! Not done that before! I never seen before!”

T’charrl was rather excited to talk about his own home and its little areas that nobody really got to explore. He was all for the excitement of the possibility that they would be future guests, it would mean he would no longer have the title of introvert back home. Everybody was quite happy to laugh at him before for not having any friends and make jokes about it, but having guests over would surely shut them up. Getting all embarrassed he let out a nervous chuckle, smiling at her. “I don’t know how you feel about the underground, though. I mean…there’s as much to the underground as there is to the surface, but you grew up on the surface, right? I mean, your skin is bright so you must had”, he spoke before frowning, raising his shoulders, “I-I don’t know if that’s how it works with your kind…” Sighing lightly he shook his head, trying to shift away the embarrassment before he smiled, nodding at Yumi. “Y-Yeah. Well uhh, how long does it take to travel again? Don’t you want to go back home some time too? We were only there for a while. I thought maybe you might like to go back sometime again. Oh, uhh…y-yeah, I guess we should keep reading too…”
Shu didn’t know how to contain himself, he was just off the rails in excitement. He wanted to bounce all over the place when he was offered such a desirable surprise, but he could do without that for now until he knew it was a good surprise Takeshi had given him. To see the slide certainly gave him a fair boost of excitement, but he would have to test it himself to see if it’s truly as fun as it looks. The best part about it was there was no deep pool at the end so he wouldn’t have to worry about being unable to swim. He thought he was certainly going to enjoy this, even if Takeshi didn’t expect to find it to surprise him. Staring up at Takeshi in excitement, he quickly looked off towards the strange contraptions when they were given a name. “Slides! Board things! Go slidey down the hill!” Bouncing on his toes he was soon whisked away by Takeshi off up the hill, staring all the way up until they were finally going to get ready. Staring at the natives who were having fun either one by one or in pairs he gasped when Takeshi suddenly spoke out to him, looking to him at his offer. Smiling happily, he bounced towards him before squeezing in in front of Takeshi. “I wanna go with you! Fun together!” he squeaked happily, holding onto Takeshi, “Looks more fun together!”

T’charrl had hoped to study reading by himself at some point, but he had never got around to it or knew where to start mostly. He was getting the hang of talking in their language because he was constantly surrounded by it, but their writing was a different matter when it was so different. The basics he had done recently, but he had only done a few lessons and didn’t expect Yumi to pick a hard book immediately. “Oh, uhh, maybe. I mean…if I know the word and what it looks like, it can’t be hard to read a sentence, right?” He really had no idea how he might do if this book was going to change the words up all the time. He could certainly try to be impressive, but ultimately he would still end up failing when a new word popped up. Smiling a little when Yumi showed interest in his house he chuckled nervously, raising his shoulders. “I guess that was my bad. It was a little rude of me”, he sighed, even if the first time he could barely walk and the second he had to go and do official business with another kingdom, “There is a lot you didn’t see! I mean…I could show you my room, the guest rooms, the books and where the food is and all sorts of places! Maybe Father would let me show you where we train, maybe even our family history room. As you know I spent a lot of time at home growing up, so I could show you all everything…well, everything except my parent’s bedroom…and maybe the medical bay if it’s busy…but everything else, I could!”
Link hoped he still had his sword skills if he had to fight at all, but then again he had learned all that fighting stuff by himself; however, there was always the possibility that he only managed to learn all that stuff because of his spirit. This was all so confusing for him, he almost felt ashamed for taking up the offer even if the luck had been against him when trying to live like a normal person. If they weren’t fighting so much he’d get to know what it was like to be a normal person with this amulet keeping everything sealed away. So much for that plan. There was only two ways this could go now; terribly or end in him confessing and it ending terribly. “You know, you’ve not really said what kind of stuff you do other than taking things that aren’t yours from places only crazy people go”.

Link didn’t know how they were going to get to the Princess if she was going to be in the far end of the castle. It seemed like an awfully long way to go if there was no shortcut around, but luckily that Fiona woman was just one even if she had proven to be terrifying before. Letting out a groan he rubbed his arms quickly, feeling particularly nervous but was soon forced along by Caelan. Link was far from alright with this, but he could only hope he wasn’t going to end up screwing everything up. Looking to Regol who appeared to be fiddling with some sort of poster he tilted his head slightly before sighing at the words that were written. “I don’t know if they lived through that, but at least we did. I don’t know what happened, really…”

The whole event was a little fuzzy, but they were alive so they obviously won that battle. If the enemy survived then that was going to be a whole load of trouble for them since they would most likely be back at the castle. Despite having the masks they weren’t going to be very stealthy if they ran into Fiona fairly quickly, then maybe the bombs would come in handy for blowing the walls up. He couldn’t think through the possibility of violence on their mission rather than stealth, it seemed. Looking back to Regol he frowned when he stated the fairly obvious. “I already know that. I’m not an idiot…” he sighed, shaking his head, “What if Caelan leads and you’re at the back keeping an eye out for her? I’ll act as support or something like that. I’m still fast so I can still cover both of you if I’m given enough warning, okay?”
Cecil was all about letting them get on with their battle and keep back, his main worry coming from the possibility that he might end up killing someone. Giving Ethan and Nymira the upper hand by launching them, he simultaneously kept himself out of the fight and allowed a surprise attack. He shouldn’t get into this battle, he might end up killing someone so he kept his distance for now, watching as everyone else apart from Amuné started fighting. He was built for fighting, it was very likely that he might end up killing someone and ruining their plan. He had never killed someone, at least not someone who was already dead like those creatures. It was complicated to say the least, especially when he wanted to help his friends.

That was definitely the point of hesitation. He wanted to help them so that they didn’t get hurt, but if he went too far then he could compromise everything. He was definitely on a slight edge with his inability to make a move. He would probably risk another day trying to recover his energy if he wasn’t careful, he had told Ethan explicitly that he needed a day to fully recharge. He was feeling pretty crappy for sure, but he didn’t know how to translate that into ‘best keeping out of conflicts because of known energy shortage’. It just didn’t feel fair to decide it was a good idea to go through with this plot when he really wasn’t feeling up to it and had explicitly said he wasn’t good on energy.

Gasping when Ethan called out to him he soon groaned, holding his head momentarily before giving it a quick shake. “You’re really pushing it for me today!” If that wasn’t going to be an annoyance then Ethan was going to have to try hard to make it up to him later for this. Letting out an annoyed groan he soon ran closer to the ship before crouching down, already feeling nervous about going near the water before he suddenly made a flying leap into the air, landing surprisingly lightly on the boat before he simply turned around and punched a bandit so hard in the gut that they went flying off the boat towards the shore.

Cecil definitely wasn’t happy with having to join in, he would’ve been better staying put and making sure Amuné was going to be okay. He didn’t know what animals were capable of but he didn’t think the moor cat could prevent those men from attacking her. Cecil didn’t even know what he could do other than throw punches, but the most he could do was help Ethan who was so quick to call for his help there. Making a quick dash towards him he swiped a hand around at the bandit closest to Ethan, throwing him into the side of the boat like he was dead weight. “Why did I have to get dragged into this? I told you this morning I shouldn’t be doing this stuff!”
Well I will definitely be posting tomorrow. College work overtook me this week and I've been so tired tonight.
Despite all the stress Cecil was feeling he was still greeted with just a little bit of subtle comfort as Amuné took hold of his hand, his eyes going to it briefly before he sighed, smiling just a little bit. He didn’t know what about it was so comforting to him, but it was certainly easing his worries if just by a little bit. Holding off asking about everything they were having to do was proving to be the hardest challenge he could face throughout the entire time he had been alive for. He couldn’t compromise himself by asking stupid questions. This was just a giant pain to him at this point, like he wasn’t entitled to learn more about the world all because he was with a stranger.

Once again after he thought he was safe for now as the conversation about alcohol continued, the attention was shifted to whether he was feeling okay by Zander and the inevitable question as to whether he was alright with a ‘Seal Paper’ being used on him. Raising his shoulders as he was brought to feeling considerably tenser he shook his head, disliking the very idea of something being used on him. “I am fine! I am most definitely certain I am okay, t-thank you”, he spoke hastily, hoping he didn’t sound too rude with that answer, “I’m just…concerned about falling in the water, is all. You know…uhh, metal just sinks…”

He really hated being rude but it was the easiest way to say he would have trouble with water without outright saying he was a Machina. This was certainly the most stressful time he had so far, even more so than the time he was completely caught out by a whole village no less and chased out of it. He didn’t know why he was attracting this man’s attention so much either, he was perfectly fine from an outsider’s point of view while inside he was feeling tired because of the power he used yesterday. Trying to keep pretty quiet and to himself his attention was soon diverted to the massive ship that they were supposed to find, or at least it was ‘massive’ to him. He had never seen anything like it and was immediately excited yet anxious, knowing if he showed even a shred of excitement he would probably be questioned by the man again for getting enthusiastic over something normal to them. Growing flustered inside he let out a groan, keeping low as they hid away from the sight of those aboard the ship.

Cecil didn’t know what the hell they were going to be able to do, nevermind what he might be able to do to help with this. All of it was designed to catch him out and he really didn’t appreciate that. Watching Nymira and Ethan discuss their little battle strategy Cecil twitched when he was brought into the plan like he could do something useful like help defeat these men, briefly looking up over the bush before back to the pair. They couldn’t be serious, they could take them out by themselves surely without his help. He wasn’t going to be of much use to them anyway if he was just going to end up running low on power and appearing even weaker than he did this morning. If he was weakened on the boat and they threw him off then that was it for him, he would have no way to recover from that and would just sink straight to the bottom. “I forget: does the ship have to live…? Burn it, make them jump in the water”, he grumbled, obviously not happy, “I don’t even know why you brought me over here…”
Shu was pretty suspicious regarding Takeshi’s actions, giving him a good long staring at as they walked through the city. He didn’t know what he was doing or where they were going, but he was sure Takeshi was just trying to find something for them to do. He was a pretty sharp much to Takeshi’s misunderstanding of him, but it was probably pretty easy for everyone to look at him like he was just a little kid who was not aware of such tricks. It was probably because Takeshi had tricked him a fair number of times before to surprise him and his change of tone told him he didn’t know what he was actually going to show him. Bouncing along with him he made sure to look around to see what Takeshi was planning, trying to tell if he was able to spot what he might be looking at. There was probably a lot out there, but if he just brought him to take down a building like he did with Viral then he was going to be rather disappointed.

“My socks off?? I don’t wear socks, you silly! Shu goes no shoes!” he giggled as he skipped around Takeshi, “How do you knock off socks when they are not there?” They were certainly going a long way at this time and he was starting to wonder if Takeshi would just give up soon. To come all this way out again for a surprise was definitely strange and was probably just to tire him out, but he wasn’t tired at all at this time of day. As he was starting to wonder if Takeshi was just waiting for him to forget anything was said before Takeshi seemingly spotted something, his attention immediately turning to see what he was seeing, gasping when he too spotted the strange event. He hadn’t seen anything like it and what was even better was there was many people who were very excited to be playing. “Ooh! Ooh! What that?? What that?? I wanna try!” he squeaked, getting all excited as he bounced in his step, “Is that bathtime? We had a wash this morning! I still feel fluffy!”

T’charrl couldn’t help but feel terribly embarrassed at the fact he was completely caught out with his poor reading skills, something he had only really found he was somewhat okay with when it came to children’s books. The large letters helped him greatly, but some of these letters were so close together that they confused him. He recognised some words, but just the most basic. He didn’t know how he was going to do if that was his first attempt to show how much he had learned. Staring down at the book for a moment he made a glance to Yumi, smiling nervously before sighing lightly, his eyes going back to the book. “I’m sorry. I should learn to speak clear too…” Wondering if he was going to manage this he stared at her finger as she searched up a passage, watching it carefully as she read along. The words all sounded so simple and yet he had managed to screw it up completely, feeling confused for only a moment when she read the character’s name before his eyes moved to Yumi. “That sounds exciting. I wish I could read properly to hear what happens”, he smiled, letting out a sigh, “I always loved reading books. I used to read to my grandma when I was little. I guess people thought I was just reading out loud because I was a silly kid. My home has a really big collection of books”.
Link was a little nervous over this whole mission, he knew a lot could go wrong very quickly if they weren’t careful. He knew he had to make sure he wasn’t going to get in the way of the other two so he would have to hang back and hope that everyone was going to lead the way. There was no way someone like him could lead the way when he had never done infiltration to this level, the most he did was sneak around bullies trying to catch him out. These soldiers were in no way the same as bullies, they were in a completely different league and would most definitely kill you on sight. He knew they would probably just kill him, that would be the most efficient way to get rid of him when he had very little power in the first place. He needed to be careful and leave this to the pros.

Link didn’t really hold much confidence in the current plan, if they were going to be useless against this woman then there really was absolutely zero point. The only way it would work with that woman was if she was secretly against her master and just let them stroll on by. Letting out a sigh he looked to the walkway before to Caelan when he bumped him, sighing lightly, “We won because the bridge collapsed. There’s no bridges to collapse here and I have no idea how to do this”, he spoke, looking up to Caelan, “Don’t supposed you know how to find the Princess in the castle? You’re a treasure hunter so you would’ve been in castles before, right?” They would have to find somewhere to put the masks on without it looking too suspicious, but he didn’t really know where they could do that too. Glancing to Regol he frowned before looking in the direction they were heading in. “So what, we just duck down in the crowd and pop up as Templar Knights? Someone’s going to notice. Isn’t there at least an alleyway somewhere?” he asked up before groaning, shaking his head, “Would be so much easier if you could talk…”
Cecil couldn’t help but be nervous. Effectively he was playing an act in hope that he wouldn’t be caught out and submitted to the authorities, seeing how they had a mission to go by. Having a mission as certainly a strange thing, he had never had one before or heard of one until recently so it was an entirely new experience for him. It was a shame he couldn’t get all excited about it around this stranger, he was only feeling a little deprived of any normal emotions just in case he got over-excited and revealed too much. He did wish he was told how he was supposed to act, otherwise he was unable to emote too much just in case he was caught out with his lack of social skills. The wave was the only way to show he was somewhat pleased to see the man, but the staring that followed made him feel uneasy.

If he could watch how Ethan interacted then maybe he might get a clue as to how he was supposed to interact with strangers, watching him approach the man and attempt to engage in a social interactions. Smiling a little he looked to Nymira he was somewhat hoping everything was going to be okay from now on, they were going to get back on track with their journey. He hated to be like this but he really only cared about getting to the city, everything else was just a waste of time to him but he was going to go with what the others did if it helped them all get closer to the city.

Sighing lightly he lowered his head momentarily before looking back up to the new guy, tilting his head only slightly before frowning at his words. He couldn’t help but wonder if that was a hint that he knew he didn’t actually need sleep because of what he was, certainly making him feel uneasy. He didn’t understand what it meant, but he needed to move on with that thought now that everyone else was starting to head off. Keeping quiet about it he just walked on after everyone, frowning at Nymira’s comment. “I don’t need help…”

----

Arriving at the piers proved to be a rather startling yet exciting experience, seeing how it was centred around working on the water. While he didn’t know fully what might happen if he fell in the water he was still scared of the 80% chance that it would prove terrible for him to be in and might end in his death. If they had to be here then he had to put up with it and show none of that hesitation around it, but he still couldn’t help but feel worried of the worst possible outcome. It was only the further travelling up the road did Cecil begin to feel comfortable, feeling as if he was back on the trail towards the city since they were walking away from some random destination. It was all looking up for him, even if that was a pretty selfish way to go about it. It wasn’t his fault that he had little interest in this kind of stuff, this was all stuff for them all to get money from or whatever which didn’t interest him in the slightest.

Keeping quiet to himself he walked along somewhat tiredly before turning to look at Ethan who was soon complaining again, this time about alcohol. Now that was something he didn’t know much about, but from the sound of it the alcohol was probably something to avoid. Feeling somewhat scared to ask him what it could be he looked to Nymira who commented about it too, making it sound much more dangerous than getting sick and never wanting to consume it again. Sighing lightly he lowered his head, drooping his shoulders as he could only feel trapped in confusion. He couldn’t ask any questions about that in case he was seen as weird and suspicious to the man and right now all he could do was hope they weren’t going to be around them for too long. Even Ethan asking about the boat was something he couldn’t ask about because he had never seen a boat before. If he asked about it he would only sound stupid. This was complete torture to him as he was only realising how terrible things were for him right now.
