Aye, sorry about that. I had an unexpectedly busy week and finally found time to type something up. I'll let you know next time if I'm gonna be late. @HueMan
Polak stood in front of the bank clerk, waiting for the clerk to give him his loan. "Here is your one silver. Don't forget the interest is one copper per day." Polak bowed his head in appreciation and exited the bank with one more silver piece in hand. He had decided earlier that he wanted to start grinding his crafting skills and thought of buying a foraging tool. Although he could have bought either a pickaxe or hatchet with what he had left from character creation, he thought it was more efficient to buy both and gather iron and wood rather.
After swift navigation, Polak found his way through the streets and entered a blacksmith's shop. A bell rang as he entered the shop and is immediately greeted by a rhythmic clanging from a door behind the counter. After a moment of further hammering, he heard a sizzle and then heavy footsteps. A tall and imposing blacksmith came out of the door and settled his hands on the counter, "what can I get ye?" Polak replied, "a hatchet and pickaxe, please." The blacksmith nodded and brought out a hatchet and pickaxe, "that'll be eighty renn." Polak brought out coins amounting to 80 renn and handed them to the blacksmith. "'Fore ye go, seein' ye got a hatchet, ye mind gettin' some wood fer me? And some meat too." A dialogue box popped up in front of Polak, 'Bring Petar The Blacksmith Items: Bring Petar the Blacksmith (Location B of Genesis City) 20 Wood and 5 Pork.' Polak immediately accepted quest, "that would be no problem at all." The blacksmith smiled, "thank ye," and went back to his forge.
Exiting the shop, Polak stretched his arms and carried on to the gates. He felt nervous about what's to come; he didn't play MMO's often, and when he did, he only played with friends or played solo. The prospect of having to talk to strangers did spook him a bit. Of course, if he wanted to increase chances of survival, he needed allies. He swallowed his fear and looked around the outskirts of the town, finding a small group of three already forming. Polak approached them and spoke, "do you mind if I join? The name's Polak."
