Bio

MorningStar1399 or flowers-for-mars pretty much everywhere, either currently or formerly.
Polyvore was my main thing and where I got started with rp (outside of irl friends of course).
I don't do fandom rps unless there are reasons (and even then I'd prefer not to for many reasons).

Idk what else to say atm...

I'm a creative writing major. I act, sing, read, write, play instruments (viola, guitar, and piano), and draw.

I'm really dull...

@shylarah *shrug* Idk. My bab should be up soon, just gotta fix a thing or two.
@ayzrules Okay. I don't know if that changes Alexander any, but I doubt it does.
@shylarah I know that gifts are born traits, but last time your gift equalled what guild you were a part of. For example, there was a character that wanted to be an aeronaut but couldn't be because her gift was that of a craftsman (metal manipulation). I've already got my character fully (over)formed, I'm just waiting on @ayzrules here to answer my tumblr questions (hint hint wink wink cough cough). Thank you, though. I'm also incredibly skilled at overcomplicating things, so I feel ya there.
@MorningStar1399 They could be in a guild -- merchants includes some, and I imagine healers might have the equivalent of flying ambulances. I did ask about a guild specifically for aeronauts, but I believe @ayzrules declined to make one. Furthermore, having the machine gift does not mean one must be an aeronaut, and being an aeronaut does not mean one must have the machine gift.

The issue of wings is an interesting one, and while this will need Ayz's confirmation, I suspect there are people who make or commission a pair just for the fun of it, if they have the gift of machine communication. Why not? For others, they may come in handy regardless of guild, and be worth the price of manufacture and maintenance. I mentioned that I'm pretty sure there's a portion in the military comprised exclusively of winged soldiers, who help maintain air superiority in a fight and are able to easily reach places otherwise accessed only with difficulty. *envisions a winged fellow fetching a cat down from a tree, instead of using a ladder* They'd be a boon to any police force or team of firefighters as well. However I also figure that there's any number of people with machine gifts that do not have mechanical wings, for one reason or another.

I'm going to have to reread everything in the morning because now I'm thoroughly confused and the lateness of the hour will only make all the text more confusing. A lot seems to have been changed (I was told it was pretty much the same except for a few name changes) and it's already a lot to process.

No you got it right the first time; ppl who have gifts can choose which guild/if they want a guild at all. So technically someone with super speed COULD join scholar guild, but its not as common as someone w super speed joining legion

So that's decidedly much different from last time, lol, where your gift determined your guild. Good to know. (not that it changes anything for my character but...)
@bloonewb The Legion includes more than just aeronauts, and there are a considerable number of aeronauts who are not in the Legion (pilots for merchant vessels, for ones that serve primarily as transportation, etc). It's terribly misleading to call it anything involving aeronauts, as much as I wanted a guild for them. =/ My guess is that being a ship captain or pilot confers a certain status separate from any guild membership, but there is no guild solely for aeronauts.

So...anyone with the former "aeronaut" gifts would have to have served in the military now, whereas before aeronauts didn't have to serve? (I was in the original group, hence my somewhat strange question.) Or do non-military aeronauts still exist but are technically guildless, as they were never part of the military and thus NOT part of the Legionnaire? It seems more confusing this way, or maybe I'm reading it wrong seeing as it's 2:15 in the morning.
