lol well luckily for you, it's not poisonous.

...Or is it >.>
*Having no remarkable smell, the pendant seemed innate. Anyone with the ability to sense energy could feel a very subtle presence within the pendants pitch black jewel.*
Why...would you lick it?
*Static energy begins to softly radiate from the ominous pendant after the time that had passed. The energy gave off a slight tingly sensation.*
Be back in a couple hours. Do whatever with the pendant just don't destroy it. That's my character.

*The stone glows ominously and feels like ice to the touch.*
lol okay that works
Been looking for a good place to intro fora day or two. Hope I chose right.
*A small object hurtled through the chaos of the rift between realities, tugged at by each dimension like the will of a hurricane. Suddenly the roaring energies that swirled around the object settled to a dull roar as it tumbled into a pocket of pale blue essence. Enveloped by the churning aura, the object began to fade, disappearing into the essence as it slowly shrank into nonexistence.*

*A small pinhole in reality opened, no bigger then a marble. It floated high in the sky, motionless for several seconds, before an object; a small silver pendant with a black stone at it's heart, appeared in an explosion of voidish blue lightning. As the dimensional hole swiftly closed, the jewelry began to fall through the air toward ground. As it grew closer to the world below, the presence of life became visible.*

*A bright streak of hot white fire trailed in the wake of the falling pendant as it struck the ground somewhere several hundred yards from the group of adventures that also occupied this land.*
The hour passed quietly with only the sounds of turning pages breaking the silence. All the while, an old, black book covered in dust and cobwebs had begun to quiver and shake. Across the books hard cracked cover were silver words engraved into the hide. They read as Schlankwald and stood alone on the dark cover. The book was high on a forgotten shelf nestled tightly between two other books of no relation other than being just as old and dusty. As Blithe closed and handed off the demonic tome, the dusty book mysteriously fell from it's spot on the shelf and clattered to the floor in one of the isles.
