"This marks the 8th duel." I coldly remark from my position of combative authority. I'd participated in my young student's quarrels for his own sanity's benefit, though I've grown tired of such trivialities as of late. I'm leaving Earth, nothing can change that.

"If you leave, this planet is lost!" Gahnder would shout, his outbursts beginning as an amusement before spiraling into incessant ramblings. In the past eight days I'd turned to ignoring all such verbalization, only for said action to be returned in kind by ferocious physical altercations.

Here we now stand, eye to eye by contradicting interests. 'Perhaps he truly cares for this place' I find myself thinking as molten rock encircles us from below the mountain we now stand atop. Above us fester planet-wide storms of ash, their black body's of boiling chaos having emerged from one super-massive volcanic eruption caused by myself. I had grown bored by native reptilian population, their sauntering figures having spiked my annoyance by some forgotten trail of logic one dreary afternoon. Feeling it was time for their end, I took the initiative to split Earth's crust near Pangea's center. This was what pushed my apprentice into his spiteful fits.

"SKY SPLITTER!" Gahnder bellows in my direction, an entirely unnecessary incantation for one of his many magic techniques. His aura accumulates at the base of his left palm to be launched along the bottom of two fully extended fingers. These fingers act to guide the ensuing beam of light towards wherever it is they've been pointed. In this case, I am the target. 

*BOOM!* I shatter his attack as a jet of water against unyielding stone by force of an extended hand. The dispersed energy's of his 'Sky Splitter' carve deep into the Earth below, rippling in every direction as country-sized waves over surrounding land. Several earthen masses are pushed into the ocean from what once could be called a single island.

*BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!* For mutliple moments we traded blows, his attacks disintegrating upon the edge of my defense. 'Pride is typically the beginning of the end, right?, I find myself contemplating after riding on the sensation of being undefeated during my early seasons. The energy's I only cared to swat away from my being had encircled me, trapping this body of mine inside something I was hardly prepared to counter. 

"Ten Billion Rotations Prison!" This incantation I immediately recognized as something necessary to be spoken aloud, something to offer life as fuel for a prison to keep it's target trapped here. Perhaps I could move to- *HONK!*

Tokyo's kaleidoscopic streetlights burn their luminous variety into the back of my aged retina, consciousness having been again roused by passing traffic. I can feel the patter of rain against my modern raiment, my leather shoes, my jeans, and my overly branded t-shirt all soaked by natural atmospheric phenomena. 

"Huh... Memory's aren't usually so nagging." I think aloud in revised English, stepping from another decrepit park bench I'd seen fit on taking as my resting place. I did always enjoy Japan's public amenities, of course, they've only improved said facilities in the past century of my residence here. I wonder what the next thousand years will show of humanities slow genius. Perhaps Gahnder was right, perhaps this place is worth keeping around...

This RP takes place in the modern day. Your character, whom can be anyone from Earth, is to encounter and accompany a powerful being bound to this planet by an ancient spell. His life, by personal admission, is "slow and uncomplicated". Shortly after being swept into its chaotic tides, your character will realize that this is anything but true. You may create anyone, supernatural characters of most any kind are allowed. I'm a high-casual to advanced writer, I'd like it if my partner could be the same.

A SCREAM IN THE WOODS

Introduction
"If the world quietly ended just beyond a closed door, would you know anything had changed?" -S.C. Ambassador Buhnd.

Ragnarok, a meteor predicted to strike Earth's surface March 27th, 2018 was believed to be humanity's extinction. Remarkably, all of Earth's known powers came to a medium of peace when presented with said crisis. Their combined fortunes created vast networks of deep, self-sustaining subterranean cities. Several blackouts aside, these luxurious habitats have supported man's children for hundreds of years.

Recently, multiple habitats have had a complete communications blackout. What started in a small Russian trade-dwelling has spread all the way into Europe's eastern-most locations with frightening speed. Incidents such as these are typically rare, and after several weeks of closed sea-railways and hushed news coverage, people are starting to whisper of their worry. I suppose what's truly frightening is when all of your fantastical assumptions prove to be true. In truth, extinction has only just begun.

This RP will be a 1x1 sci-fi/fantasy suspense/horror plot that will start with you encountering what is humanity's potential extinction. I can provide specifics for anything pertaining to these dwellings and their separate functions/passages should you need them in designing your character. If you're interested and can give me a general idea as to where you want your citizen to be in society I can give you a summarization of what they would know and be exposed to on a daily basis.
